On release, GTA 6 will initially be available only on PS5 and Xbox Series. But what about the PC version? We have everything you need to know.
When is GTA 6 coming to PC? So far, there is no exact release date for the PC version. It is still unclear when it might come.
It could be a wait of several months or even over a year. When GTA 5 was released, players had to wait about 19 months before they could play the game on PC after the console release.
You will unfortunately have to be patient, and we will let you know as soon as more information becomes available.
Why is the PC version coming later? As Strauss Zelnick, the head of GTA 6, explained in an interview, there will be a PC version, but the developers want to cater to the core players first, which are the console fans on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Who should wait? According to reports, GTA 6 is currently running at 30 frames per second on PS5 and PS5 Pro, and it is currently unclear whether 60 FPS can be achieved. The latter seems unlikely before launch. A PC is much more likely to deliver this performance (provided it has the right hardware).
For those to whom this is very important and who own such a PC, it might be worth the wait. Especially if high FPS and the best possible performance with good graphics are important to you, it might make sense to hold off for now and wait for news about a PC release.
There is still a while until the release, and there are almost daily new updates or discoveries from the community. To keep you up-to-date, we have prepared a countdown ticker with all the important daily news for you: GTA 6: The latest news from Rockstar and the community in the ticker
