FTAC Siege (Handgun)
GS Magna (Handgun)
Throwing Star (Equipment)
Further down you will find the content that can be attributed to MW2 or Warzone 2.
The new handguns offer an automatic fire mode.

Strict, skill-based matchmaking, own rules, rewards, and ranking systems
New gameplay elements
Perk packs: Lootable perks
Mobile buy station: A portable vendor
Koschei Complex: New DMZ area, lots of darkness
Here you can take a look at the roadmap for the complete Season 3:
The Diablo series relies on familiarity in many aspects, including enemies. Many appear repeatedly. MeinMMO has dug a little into the past and has selected 10 enemy types that have caused the worst memories in the past 26 years and that you definitely don’t want to see in Diablo 4.
This makes sense, as the world of Sanctuary remains the same. Accordingly, the inhabitants do not always have to change. However, there are a few enemies that Blizzard does not necessarily have to include.
On Reddit, fans have exchanged their horror enemies, and we have considered which opponents have caused truly frustrating moments in the past. We still do not know if most of them will also appear in Diablo 4.
Disclaimer: MeinMMO is not liable for possible flashbacks that may prevent you from sleeping or for complaints about too loud “PLEASE DON’T!” calls.
After the first hours in the game, Diablo 4 can convince many fans. Also us. You can see the conclusion of the MeinMMO editors in the video, and you can find all information about Diablo 4 in our hub:

Diablo 4 Beta: Performance and fun are on point, but important questions remain unanswered – The conclusion of the MeinMMO editorial team
Undead Stygian Dolls (Diablo 2)
What looks like the skeleton of the rather harmless little fetishes is one of the worst enemies in Diablo 2. The Stygian Dolls often appear in swarms, are incredibly quick, inflict high physical damage, and explode upon their death. The undead are responsible for the deaths of numerous characters and are the sworn nemesis of many players.
The dolls also represent all enemies with death effects here. They are among the most annoying foes in the entire franchise, especially for hardcore characters.
Sand Wasps (Diablo 3)
The supposedly harmless wasps attack with… more wasps, sometimes from off-screen, and flee quickly. The damage is enormous and poses a particular challenge for melee fighters. There used to be a bug that made the projectiles invisible when they came from off-screen. The bad news: it seems that the wasps have already made it into Diablo 4. Some players have spotted them in Act 1.
Lacuni Huntresses (Diablo 3)
Lacuni are already annoying enemies. The cat-like beings deal substantial damage but are considered rather average foes in Diablo 3. What makes the huntresses of the clan so dangerous is their ability to jump directly onto the player. If you are surrounded by their bulkier companions, a leap attack from the huntresses can quickly end in death.
Ghosts and specters have appeared in every Diablo installment so far in some form. Particularly feared are Wraiths from Diablo 3, along with Specters and Gloams from Diablo 2. These beings can move through walls and expertly drain mana or significant life points from the player. The worst part: especially in Diablo 3, they often attack from unreachable places, which can be particularly challenging for melee fighters.
Knights of Oblivion (Diablo 2)
The heavily armored enemies do not pose a significant threat on their own. However, they exist in a form that can cast spells – including the feared Iron Maiden. This reflects physical damage back onto attackers multiple times, which means instant death for many classes.
You will be better prepared for every possible enemy with the new special issue on Diablo 4:
The possibly only enemies that are more dangerous for ranged fighters than for melee fighters: Harbingers of Pestilence can contaminate a small area from a distance with their long arms and inflict heavy damage. Alone, they are not very dangerous, but in groups, they can turn large areas into a deadly trap.
Unicorns and Teddy Bears (Diablo 3)
Not exactly deadly foes, but still the nightmare of many players. In the secret pony level of Diablo 3, there were rainbows, unicorns, and teddy bears. This was meant as a joke, but since Diablo 3 was already considered by many fans of the series as “too colorful,” the idea did not sit well with some.
Fortunately, Diablo 4 is set to be much darker and more reminiscent of the first installment in terms of visuals. Here is some gameplay:
Start video
Diablo 4 features huge bosses like an MMO – And they drop really good loot
Hammer Lords (Diablo 3)
Similar to the Harbingers of Pestilence, Hammer Lords are not particularly dangerous on their own. The monstrous enemies can indeed oneshot you but are so slow that it’s usually not a problem. What makes them difficult is their size. Hammer Lords are about 5 times larger than your character and are among the largest foes in the game. If 3-4 of these monsters surround you, they can easily trap and crush you.
Succubi (Multiple Parts)
Like ghosts, succubi are among the most well-known enemies of the series. While they were annoying but not particularly deadly in earlier titles, they are among the greatest dangers in Diablo 3. The sensuous demons fire deadly projectiles that are easily overlooked in the chaos and change position quickly. If you are not careful, you will quickly fall victim to their attacks. And given that succubi are set to appear in Diablo 4, it is highly likely with Lilith in mind.
You have probably all heard about the Mother of Demons – on TV!
The Fallen are red demons that often appear in hordes. Their bombers have glowing bellies filled with explosive liquid and rush towards you to explode if you don’t kill them quickly enough. Although they don’t have much health, if they reach you, you are almost certainly dead – especially on higher difficulties.
Bonus: The Controls on Nintendo Switch
Not a real enemy, but for many fans, still the ultimate end boss: since Diablo has been playable on the Nintendo Switch, countless players have complained about the controls with Joycons. Even spiked rats can sometimes turn into a deadly experience.
We want to know from you: Which enemy do you find the worst?
We intentionally did not include bosses in this list, as you do not encounter them as often as regular enemies. And a death against a boss is usually less frustrating than against a wasp…
We still do not know exactly which enemies will truly appear. However, we already know some features that you could not yet see in the tests:
Throne and Liberty was considered a great hope for many MMORPG fans in 2023 for PC and consoles. Especially the graphics excited in the trailers. However, the actual release in the first half of the year cannot be met, as NCSoft revealed in a call.
What does NCSoft say? On May 9, the conference call took place where the Korean company talked about its first quarter of 2023. NCSoft is particularly known for MMORPGs such as Lineage, Aion, but also Guild Wars 2. Especially in the mobile sector, revenues fell by almost 50% compared to the previous year, while the PC MMORPGs remained relatively stable (via IR Data).
In addition, there was some talk about Throne and Liberty. It is now officially set to release in the second half of 2023 – as previously in a global version. Analysts had predicted the delay several weeks ago. However, there is still no exact date.
The developers explained the delay with various reasons, some of which are also positive for us.

More information about monetization and more marketing
Why is the game being delayed? There are primarily two reasons:
Some gameplay systems and monetization are to be tested and improved in beta events beforehand. However, the scope of content should not change.
More marketing is to take place to attract more players at release.
Both require more time. Between the lines, one can also hear a conflict with Diablo 4. It is said that they are looking for a way to maximize success in the global market. A release in the same month as the new game from Blizzard would be rather hindering.
After that, a beta in the West is expected to start “soon” – but with a major focus on North America. Whether we can participate smoothly in this test or whether there will be a specific test for Europe is currently unclear.
However, some alleged testers have already shared details about Throne and Liberty in advance, which we have summarized here:
Honkai: Star Rail was recently released and accordingly, there are many welcome gifts available through Twitch Drops that you can claim for free. We show you how it works, what you need to consider, and what the gifts include.

20,000 Credits
4x Lost Gold Fragments

How to secure 5 gifts via Twitch Drops
How do I get the gifts? To redeem the gifts, you need a working Twitch and Honkai: Star Rail account. You must link these two accounts (via hoyoverse.com).
Now, choose a streamer on Twitch who has marked their stream as “Drops enabled.” You need to watch them while they stream. After some time has passed, more drops will be unlocked, and you can gradually receive your rewards.
Don’t forget to claim your rewards on Twitch so that they can be sent to your mailbox in Honkai. If you do not do this, your rewards may disappear after the deadline.
How long does the action last? The action lasts until May 24th, so be quick if you want to secure the free items.
What do I need to consider? All drops build on each other. Therefore, you must secure your previously earned rewards before you can continue.
Additionally, you do not need to actively watch a stream if you are not interested in streamers. Choose a stream and let it run in the background, and set a timer for 15 minutes to be notified when you can claim your reward.
This way, you can do something else in the meantime while securing your rewards.
The Chinese studio miHoYo released its latest successful project after their mega hit Genshin Impact with Honkai Star Rail. Two weeks after release, the studio gifts its fans with an animated short film that excites everyone.
What is Honkai: Star Rail? Following the massive success of Genshin Impact, the studio miHoYo released its new game Honkai: Star Rail two weeks ago. A game inspired by modern JRPGs, once again adorned with anime aesthetics. Similar to Genshin Impact, MeinMMO editor Marie Friske is excited about Honkai Star Rail.
In keeping with the anime aesthetics, miHoYo released an animated short film. The short film “A Flash” showcases the battle between Jin Yuan and Jingliu and tells the background of both characters through flashbacks. The film is animated and staged at a high level and does not need to hide from other anime productions.

What do the fans say? Fans on YouTube feel similarly and are excited about the quality. In particular, the animations and the story are praised.
ApexLodestar: This is a masterpiece. I have goosebumps. Beautifully animated.
Villenthessis: Hoyo’s animation team really needs to create their own anime series at this point.
Cassin89: Fantastic story. I can hardly wait for the next one.
Also on Reddit, users are excited and not only express their praise but also engage in discussions about the lore of the game. The master-student dynamic is particularly highlighted here.
toomanyclouds: Really good and tragic because I am sure that Jing Yuan fears that one day his own student might have to finish him off.
AenoHolic: Jing-Yuan lore let’s gooo! It’s really a coincidence how his teacher and his student both use ice elements, haha.
MiHoYo seems to be doing everything right with such productions, as fans are not only impressed by the quality but are also looking forward to new playable characters and content in Honkai: Star Rail.
Hogwarts Legacy takes you to the world of wizards on various platforms. Players have now compared the PS4 version with the PS5 version and found that one location is unrecognizable. Why is there such a difference?
Now players out of curiosity compared the PS4 version with that of a PS5 and found that the developers have even completely changed parts of Hogwarts. We will show you the comparison.

Hogwarts Legacy: Official Launch Trailer
“It took a minute to realize it was the same location”
What have players discovered? Reddit user Euden compared the PS4 version with the PS5 version of Hogwarts Legacy. He noticed that an area with an arched gate in Hogwarts Castle has two versions. Here is the comparison again with the images:

It can be seen that the PS5 version has a more detailed gate with a steel grate. Additionally, the path to the outside is clearly visible, as an open hanging bridge without a roof was installed.
However, the PS4 version offers hardly any details at the arched gate. Furthermore, the steel grate has been omitted. The apparently interesting thing here is the hanging bridge, as it has been completely removed and replaced with a closed corridor with a roof.
How do players react to the discovery? Fans on Reddit are surprised, as they had to compare the images for a few minutes to realize that these are indeed the same locations. Onemortal writes: “It took a minute to realize that it is the same location.”
Others, however, wanted to admonish the post creator to please use the correct location for comparison until they realized that this is indeed the same location. nolimits59 writes: “Honestly, I thought: ‘Dude, at least take photos from the same place.’ I thought that the first two and the last two were a PS4/PS5 comparison.”
And even though the different versions cause confusion, this design decision has a valid reason.
Why is there such a significant difference? Those who have played Hogwarts Legacy may know how performance-intensive the game can be. While powerful gaming PCs and the next-gen consoles can handle it well, the Xbox One and PS4 are different.
They have outdated hardware and therefore can process Hogwarts Legacy more slowly and with greater difficulty.
However, since the game takes place in an open world and many things must be processed in the data, the developers likely decided to connect certain areas to reduce loading times and processing load. The result is locations that look different but are located in the same place.

Getting Ignivor in Pokémon GO is not easy. We want to know from you in the survey: Did you manage to get it?
What is the problem with Ignivor? Ignivor belongs to the Bug / Fire type and is a Pokémon that fans have been waiting for a long time. It can evolve into Ramoth.
Additionally, you need to collect 400 candies for the evolution to Ramoth. This will be difficult since it is currently very hard to get Ignivor.
Now we want to know from you: Were you able to get an Ignivor?
Survey on Ignivor in Pokémon GO – Do you have the rare monster?
In our survey, we want to know if you were able to hatch an Ignivor after the event has ended. By the way: Currently, Ignivor is still available in eggs; it did not disappear from the egg pool after the event ended.
Please also feel free to share in the comments which eggs brought you Ignivor, or how many attempts it took you.
Is Ignivor worth it? Ignivor itself does not play a significant role in battles, but its evolution Ramoth is a different story. While it doesn’t fare well in PvP, it excels as a strong Bug attacker in raids and gyms. Additionally, it can also shine as a Fire attacker.
Pokémon GO: The strongest attackers of all types in the video
As already mentioned, it is currently extremely difficult to get Ignivor, let alone Ramoth. You need a lot of luck for it to hatch from an egg, and then the candy collecting begins. Therefore, one should not expect to get a Ramoth anytime soon.
How has it been for you so far? Participate in our survey and tell us your feelings about Ignivor!
Nintendo is known for being quite aggressive in handling copyright infringements. Since the major leak of the new The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, they seem particularly sensitive and have even banned an innocent Twitch streamer.
Who got hit? Alanah Pearce is an Australian video game writer and is active as a streamer and YouTuber. On May 9th, she posted on Twitter that her Twitch channel had been suspended in the middle of a stream.
Apparently, Nintendo imposed a copyright strike against the 28-year-old – she did nothing wrong.
Start video
The 5 biggest Twitch bans that caused a lot of commotion
How did the ban happen? As Alanah Pearce reported on Twitter, she was reacting to a video from YouTuber SkillUp when the ban hammer struck. The video showed official preview footage and impressions of the new Zelda game, Tears of the Kingdom.
As PC Gamer emphasizes, the footage “was taken during a Nintendo-hosted event that Nintendo organized to promote this game developed by Nintendo.”
In a YouTube video about the situation, Alanah Pearce speculates that the game manufacturer initiated the copyright strike before realizing it was approved material. Additionally, Twitch confirmed to her that the complaint came directly from Nintendo.
She also emphasizes that this should not have happened: After all, it was obviously edited footage, SkillUp had just spoken and she had streamed under “Just Chatting” and not in a gameplay category.
We have embedded the video here:

What’s behind this? Nintendo is known to be quite “trigger-happy” regarding copyright infringements even during the best of times. Many have felt the wrath of the Japanese game and console maker:
Pirates and console hackers have already been sentenced to high fines and even prison sentences.
At the moment, Nintendo seems particularly hostile towards alleged copyright infringements, as the highly anticipated new AAA title The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was completely leaked earlier this month, almost 2 weeks before the planned release on May 12th.
The colleagues from GamePro also reported on the leak. Since then, Nintendo has been trying to put the cat back in the bag somehow and seems to be putting a copyright strike on everything that even remotely looks like leaked gameplay.
In the case of Alanah Pearce, the matter seems to have been clarified, her channel is already back online.
Other companies are also not exactly gentle with leakers. A YouTuber about Magic: The Gathering reported an unpleasant visit after he had shown some still-secret cards. He had legally acquired the cards:
Peridot is a new game from the creators of Pokémon GO. The game is supposed to be a more realistic simulation than Tamagotchi, where you care for virtual creatures and bond them to you as pets. We show you everything important.
What is Peridot? The new mobile game from Niantic uses Augmented Reality, just like Pokémon GO. You use your phone, go outside, and collect monsters with your camera, called Peridots. These monsters basically serve as your virtual pets. You can collect them, take care of them, feed them, breed them, and make them happy to develop them further.
Each Peridot is unique, according to the developer, because an integrated breeding system allows for variations in traits, looks, and rarities. The game can be played solo or with friends to achieve unique combinations.
A summary video about Peridot can be found here from us:

When is the release of Peridot? The release took place on May 9, 2023. It was a Tuesday.
Where can I download the game? The game is available for Android and iOS systems. Players could register in advance for the launch to be notified when the download is available.
Is there a bonus for launch? If you registered in advance and played the game in the first two weeks after launch, you will receive a party hat for your Dot as a small present.
Last year, the German-developed, classic JRPG-inspired Chained Echoes celebrated great success, for example on Steam. The average rating for the PC version on Metacritic is a high 91, making it one of the best games of 2022. But suddenly, negative user reviews poured in, and no one knows the reason.
What happened? Chained Echoes is rated “very positive” not only on Steam but also marked as “Must Play” on Metacritic. On Twitter, the Head of Product from DECK13 tweeted that suddenly there were many negative user reviews:
Recommended editorial content
At this point you will find external content from Twitter that complements the article.
I consent to external content being displayed to me. Personal data can be transmitted to third party platforms.
Read more about our privacy policy.
The ratings are also just pure ratings without reviews or explanation, making it difficult to assess the reasons, especially 5 months after release.
Normally, written reviews or a sudden scandal can give clues as to where negative ratings come from. For example, the “Monster Hunter” movie was responsible for poor ratings for Monster Hunter World in 2020.
Here you can watch the launch trailer for Chained Echoes:
Start video
Chained Echoes: Launch Trailer
What could the reasons be? It is hard to guess where the sudden outcry against the game comes from. One suspicion might be the lack of localizations in different languages.
The developer often receives requests to translate Chained Echoes into new languages. Due to the length of the game, the high costs, and the presumably small sales figures in those regions, a translation for Chained Echoes is not worthwhile outside of the 4 available languages.
At the same time, Head of Product Michael Hoss criticizes Metacritic. In an interview with GamesRadar+, he talks about the problems smaller developers face with such review bombing.
Why is review bombing so bad? Hoss mentioned that while Chained Echoes does not suffer lasting damage from the annoying situation, he also speaks for smaller indie companies that can suffer massive damage to their sales due to review bombing.
He also talks about psychological damage and says that review bombing on Metacritic is just the beginning and can lead to harassment and hate mails. Post-release depression exists and all these things hurt people. And I hate that.
At least, it seems that the negative reviews have finally been removed after the outcry, and Chained Echoes has regained its original user rating on Metacritic.
A puzzle game on Steam titled “Storyteller” is currently attracting a lot of attention. Less because it is an extraordinary game, but more due to a feature from Steam. You can find out why the developer walked away nearly empty-handed after 15 years of development here.
What kind of game is this? The puzzle game “Storyteller” makes you the author of a story, which is essentially realized through 3 things. These include:
A title that indicates the type of story.
A handful of characters that need to be staged.
A few props that should be placed according to the situation.
The title is given to you, and you then need to fill the rest, i.e., the scenes of the story, according to the principle of “Storyteller.”
How the game works can be seen in the video. However, a Steam feature has now been shamelessly exploited by players.
Although the puzzle game “Storyteller” performed relatively well on Steam, reviews emerged that criticized the playtime for the given price of €13.99 despite the attention to detail. Many users then returned the game via the mentioned option and got their money back – for a completed game.
For example, the user nwzed praises the game on the gaming platform (via Steam): “The principle behind ‘Storyteller’ is simply great.[…]”. On the other hand, however, he concludes his comment with the following explanation:
“Unfortunately, the whole experience is short. Very short, to be precise. I took 115 minutes for 100%-completion, and for a game that costs €13.99, that is far too little content. Since I have the luxury of getting a refund, I will do that.”
The concept of ‘Storyteller’ led to a comeback on Steam
How did the game make its comeback? According to an interview with CNN Espanol (via CNN) with developer Daniel Benmergui, the concept behind “Storyteller” was both a blessing and a curse. In the interview, he stated:
We are working hard to make it accessible to people who do not play video games.[…] Overall, part of it was making the game accessible to people who do not play it, not about making a ten-hour game.
Daniel Benmergui, Interview (CNN Spain)
He aimed to avoid unnecessarily inflating his game and to focus only on the best part. Over the years, he also discarded some content. Taking this risk turned out to be the decisive factor that gave the game enough traction to get the project back on the profit track.
The developer also stated that he is now working on an update that should extend the playtime beyond the tight 2 hours with more content. Meanwhile, the puzzle game has also been released on the Nintendo Switch. You can find out here which games might interest you on the Switch.
Whether the price for the time in “Storyteller” of under 2 hours is justified is up to each person to decide. However, the game made a rounded impression on us, with a lot of attention to detail. Production costs are generally also included in the pricing, so one could certainly speak of a fair price.
Do you know the game? If so, feel free to write to us in the comments how you find it or whether you also exploited the Steam feature.
Nine months after the release in the Epic Games Store, Voidtrain made its way to Steam yesterday, on May 9th. In this co-op survival title, players control an interdimensional train either alone or in a group of up to four people. However, they must first build it.
What is Voidtrain about? To survive in the landscape of the so-called Voids, the Void, one can play alone or with friends. Players upgrade their own train, craft weapons, and fight various enemies. There are unique locations, stations, and floating islands full of puzzles to explore.
Crafting fans might also be interested in Voidtrain, because: Players build their train, which races through space, from scratch. From a tiny handcar to a full train with multiple cars, including customizable visuals, storage spaces, workbenches, and decorations. Collecting resources to create useful constructs is also part of the mechanic’s daily life in the Void.
Customizable weapons and gear support the character in their fight for survival. Besides enemies like soldiers or sharks, the player encounters creatures that look like huge dragon-like snakes on their journey.

Voidtrain: Survival title on Steam – Trailer
Opinions are divided
What do players say about Voidtrain so far? Since the game was released on Epic in August 2021, there are already several reviews. There are also some opinions available on Steam.
According to GameStar, the game does many things right and adheres to survival commandments. Frustration stems from the limited exploration around the train, since: One is tethered to a cable. The fact that players do not have to worry about an oxygen meter creates feelings of happiness.
The YouTuber Markiplier is impressed in a Let’s Play video. “This is cool. This is really cool,” he repeats several times while collecting materials to build. He had no idea what the game would be like. When he saw the trailer, he thought: “It seems to have a cool aesthetic.”
However, the Steam community sees it differently. Only 66% of the reviews so far are positive. The good performance and the suffocating atmosphere in the Void are particularly praised. A few users compare the survival title to Raft, “but in space, which is an interesting concept.”
Others criticize that Voidtrain becomes boring quickly and is too linear. A Steam user writes, “I wish there was a neutral review option for the game.” This is particularly bitter because Voidtrain was one of the most anticipated games on Steam before its release (via GameStar).
And I can fully agree with that.
I have already tried Voidtrain – Here’s how it plays: The time I spent in the Void seemed much longer than it actually was. The first hours in the game felt slow, and progress was scarcely recognizable. After the 3rd station, which looked almost identical to the first two, I had little desire to approach more.
However, not much else remains, as the “open world” feels rather linear at least at the beginning due to the rail system. I quickly found collecting resources to be repetitive, compounded by the incredibly small inventory. The storage chests with four slots each were not much help.
Due to the limited movement space, players are massively restricted in exploration. Flying islands and rocks are visible but not reachable. Overall, an interesting idea with an appealing aesthetic, but it remains questionable what further development will bring.
Good to know: When opening the game, a website opens where players can link their Steam account to the Epic Games account. Also, the game is still in early access status, even though it went into early access on Epic Games in August 2021.
Diablo 4 is preparing for a final beta test before its release – the Server Slam. With this test, players can once again travel through Sanctuary and catch a first glimpse of the new hack & slash. Additionally, there are gifts you can grab. All about the Server Slam can be found here.
What is a Server Slam? Blizzard itself has announced a Server Slam for Diablo 4 in a major interview. This is supposed to take place before the release and ensure that the servers are pushed to their limits. In line with this, a new trailer for the Server Slam has been released:

Diablo 4: The trailer for the Server Slam with content and rewards
We will now list all the important information regarding the Server Slam and show you what you need to know.
Diablo 4: Everything about the Open Beta – Duration, Download and Rewards
When does the Server Slam begin? The last open beta will take place from May 12 at 9:00 PM until May 14 at 9:00 PM.
Can anyone participate? Every player, whether pre-order customer or tester, can participate in this final beta test of Diablo 4.
Is there a new download for the Server Slam? No, but there will be a preload today, May 10, at 9:00 PM. Players who have not downloaded the beta file yet may finally download it. Players who already possess this file must download an update.
How large is the download for the open beta? On the PS5, the download is 77.130 GB. The download sizes for other platforms may also be similarly large.
What rewards can be earned? Just like before the Server Slam, you can still earn the cute wolf bundles from the previous betas. To do this, you need to reach level 20.
In addition, there is a mount trophy named “Cry of Ashava”. To obtain this, you need to defeat the world boss Ashava with a “level 20” hero.
Diablo 4 Server Slam rewardsDiablo 4 Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy
All rewards will be received when Diablo 4 celebrates its release. So be quick and take the chance, because once the beta is over, there will be no more opportunities to grab these items.
What should be noted? The Server Slam is set up by Blizzard to ensure that the servers collapse under the rush of players. Therefore, you should expect long wait times, delays, and bugs that may kick you out of the game.
Since we participated in both previous beta dates, we recommend that you log in on May 13 or, at the latest, on May 14, and do so during the early or late hours. This way, there will be short to no wait times for you, and you can enjoy the beta more relaxed.
Will you participate in the Server Slam or would you rather wait for the full release of Diablo 4? Let us know in the comments!
Chrono Odyssey is a new MMORPG for PC, PlayStation and Xbox that recently released its first gameplay trailer. This showcases many combat scenes that make a very strong impression. Especially the powerful attacks of the bosses, the evasion mechanics, and the hitbox impress MeinMMO editor Alexander Leitsch.
When New World presented its combat system in 2019, I was absolutely thrilled. It was supposed to be a mix of WoW and Dark Souls. Tactical fights, few abilities, but a strong focus on blocking and dodging, in short: Skill should be at the forefront. That sounded exactly like the MMORPG I always wanted.
However, the final implementation disappointed me greatly at release:
The animations of the own abilities were not fluid enough
The hitbox of the enemies often felt inaccurate
Many enemies fought too predictably, and it always felt basically the same whether I beat opponents at level 1, 25, or 60
There was a lack of real punishment for wrong decisions
New World has improved some things since then, such as smoother weapon swaps and adjusted animations, but it is still far from the game of my imagination.
However, since last week I have a new, great hope. Chrono Odyssey not only speaks of a system reminiscent of Dark Souls but also shows suitable combat scenes. And they look so good that my hype train is already fully in motion.

Chrono Odyssey – Gameplay Trailer
Powerful enemies and much precision make my heart race
The first combat scene in the trailer starts at second 53, as a possible boss enemy hits the player character and throws him back several meters. The attacks and animations of the enemy are very precise and clearly recognizable. This allows for parrying or dodging them in time.
Especially impressive is the moment at minute 1:00, when the opponent’s sword sweeps over the player’s head. Here, dodging at the right moment was very important.
Even with other monsters, such as a jumping attack from a stone creature at minute 1:42, one can see a very clear hitbox that should be avoided. Everything feels significantly more precise than what one is used to from many MMORPGs, thus strongly reminding of Dark Souls.
If you can’t dodge the abilities, you have to face the consequences. This includes knockbacks and other forms of CC. At least in the trailer, the mistakes feel very punishing – right down to a small CC chain that leads to death.
Alongside the tactical elements, Chrono Odyssey also makes a good visual impression. The fights appear fluid and choreographed, weapon switching has no long cooldowns, and the animations look pretty and high-quality.
Moreover, there are already many diverse enemies that place different demands on the players. There are attacks that cannot be parried and where dodging is the only option.
Reaction speed seems to play an important role, especially with the large world bosses from minute 2:20, where there are almost continuous strong attacks.
Chrono Odyssey already looks much better than New World and many other MMORPGs in combat. Visually, Black Desert might still keep up, but there, blocking is not possible and it is more about the rotation of abilities than tactical dodging.
However, the new MMORPG also has a unique mechanic up its sleeve, the Chronotector. This is an artifact that gives players the chance to briefly jump back in time. This should allow you to fend off a death caused by an instakill mechanic, which can also be seen in the trailer at minute 2:55.
How exactly the mechanic works and how powerful it will ultimately be is currently unknown. But if it can only be used once per boss fight as a cooldown, it could become an important tactical element that I am very much looking forward to.
In general, the new MMORPG makes a good impression. It relies on an open world where you can climb mountains, there should be dungeons, raids, and large PvP battles, and it offers 6 classes that will each have access to two weapon sets:
Swordsman – Sword/Shield + Greatsword
Paladin – Mace/Shield + Spear
Berserker – Two Axes + Battle Axe
Sorcerer – Staff + Wand
Assassin – Two Daggers + Gun
Ranger – Bow + Rapier
Thus, Chrono Odyssey ranks in my list of major MMORPG hopes directly behind the LoL MMORPG and Ashes of Creation and just ahead of big names like ArcheAge 2 or Throne and Liberty.
In World of Warcraft there is a new system for obtaining and upgrading equipment. That is pretty genius – but also damn confusing, thinks MeinMMO demon Cortyn.
In World of Warcraft, the developers are diligently implementing the wishes of the community. Particularly the Patch 10.1 Ashes of Neltharion has brought significant upheavals to the loot system. Even though the core idea is really good, there are some problems.
Honestly: The new system for upgrading items is quite good in terms of pure function. Whether it’s rewards from world quests or dungeons, almost all items can be upgraded multiple times. This means there’s more “meaningful” loot than ever before.
But with the Nether: It is so incredibly complicated that it is again a complete “overkill” of information for newcomers or returners.
The current trailer for the latest WoW patch:

WoW: Patch 10.1 Ember of Neltharion is live – Here is what to expect starting now
Veterans and hardcore players will likely be able to grasp the system pretty quickly. But please try to explain the system briefly and concisely to someone new.
“So everywhere in the world, you now get flight stones, whether from world quests or rare mobs, dungeons or raids. You need them to upgrade equipment.”
“Okay, what can I upgrade?”
“Most items. So from world quests and dungeons or rare mobs.”
“How high can I upgrade them?”
“That really depends on where you got an item and which category it belongs to: Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, or Hero. Depending on that, the limits are at 411, 424, 437, or 447.”
“Do I need anything else?”
“Yes, you also need Shadowflame Emblems. There are four different variants: Whelpling, Dragon, Wyrm, or Aspect. Each emblem can upgrade the last four levels of an item type and the first four levels of the next category. However, the emblems are split into fragments that you have to assemble. But the quantity of emblems and fragments you can get is limited.”
“Uh-hu.”
“But you only need to raise each equipment slot once with an emblem to a certain item level. After that, if you want to upgrade an item in the same slot, regardless of which character, it only costs flight stones and the costs are even reduced by half.”
“Where do the different emblems come from?”
“Whelpling comes from treasures and daily quests, Dragon comes from elite quests, weekly tasks, low Mythic+, and raids, Wyrm comes from the heroic raid and more challenging Mythic+, and Aspect comes from the hardest content.”
“Can I craft equipment as well?”
“Yes, but you will need an enchanter to enchant a corresponding emblem for you before you can then order the item. And you will also need Shadowflame Sparks, which are only available every two weeks.”
“I’d rather go back to doing pet battles …”
This fictional conversation could go on for quite a while and has only captured the essential details of the new equipment system so far. If you search for various “explanation videos” on YouTube about the new gearing system, most videos are between 15 and 25 minutes long. If you have to explain a “simplified, better system” for almost half an hour – is it really simplified?
Even the shortest summary in the form of a table on Reddit looks like this:
I like the Zaralek Caverns and basically, the new gearing system is really good. But I can’t imagine it leading to an “easier entry” into World of Warcraft. Because explaining all the details is extremely extensive and makes it one of the largest and – at least at first glance – most opaque systems ever.
I also understand that some will say: “Then you just have to deal with it, then it’s not so hard!” – And yes, of course, you are right. But the current plan for World of Warcraft must actually be to attract new players in order to further build on the good expansion Dragonflight. A complex system like this provides more choices in loot, but it also discourages many people who do not want to study for half an hour in the evening how item levels actually work now.
What do you think of the new loot system in Patch 10.1? Thoroughly successful? Or a bit overwhelming?

Graphics cards and PC upgrades are more expensive than ever in 2023. A gamer wants to buy an Nvidia GPU now, but he hesitates at the thought of paying 1,600 euros. And he is not the only one struggling with this.
The prices for hardware are higher in 2023 than they have been for a long time. Fast graphics cards can quickly cost over 1,000 euros, and such an investment must be well thought out. Anyone looking to buy an RTX 4090 has to put at least 1,600 euros on the table (via geizhals.de).
On reddit, some users are now discussing whether it is even worth investing so much money in hardware. Because hardware that you buy today is already outdated a little later. At least some believe that.
Apart from that, I find it hard to believe that I am the only one who has such a kind of remorse regarding the purchase of such an expensive piece of hardware…
Is technology that I buy today already outdated tomorrow?
Where does the thought come from? The discussion has been ongoing among gamers for some time. Many manufacturers tie special features to their hardware to promote and sell it. New features are then, not surprisingly, tied to a new hardware generation. For example, the thread starter writes: “It’s always the same with technology: buy today, outdated tomorrow.”
Current example: Nvidia offers some features, such as DLSS 3.0, exclusively for the latest RTX 4000 series. Simply put: If someone bought an RTX 3080 for 1,000 euros last year, they would have to spend another 1,000 euros to get DLSS 3.0 and other features. Many now believe that without such technology, you can no longer play modern games.
Here, some fear that Nvidia could do the same with DLSS 4.0 or other features. In 2-3 years, an exclusive feature could be presented again.
Because when people buy expensive hardware, they often think: If I buy a graphics card for a lot of money now, then I can relax for the next 4-5 years and don’t have to upgrade so quickly. The thought of investing 1,000 euros in a new GPU every 2 years causes some stomach pains.
What speaks against these arguments? On the other hand, there are also people who say: Yes, such a graphics card is damn expensive, but it’s worth it. The money is therefore well invested and after all, it’s also the favorite hobby. Others invest 1,500 euros in LEGO models (via reddit.com).
Others add: Even if the graphics card should be outdated in 2 years, it is still an outstanding piece of technology (via reddit.com):
I mean, this is really how people buy enthusiast technology. Can you imagine how angry 2080Ti owners were when the 3070 came out for less than half the price? Even with this generation, the 4070Ti is on par with the 3090Ti, which came out for $2000. It will still be a very good card, even if it is outdated.
For years, gamers have repeatedly noted that prices for hardware are rising. This applies to all major manufacturers like AMD, Nvidia, and Intel. Anyone who used to be able to buy a mid-range graphics card for 250 euros now pays more like 450 to 500 euros.
Many users are therefore turning straight to an Xbox Series X or a PS5. Because Microsoft and Sony support their consoles for many years. While consoles can only represent the technical standard of the release year, you get consistent performance over many years. And you don’t have to worry about upgrades.
How do you deal with such expensive hardware? Have you ever regretted an investment of 1,000 euros or more in hardware, or is it part of your hobby to always be on “the cutting edge of technology”?
Sometimes, it also takes simple tricks to get more performance out of the most expensive graphics card. MeinMMO explains how the gamer was able to solve his problem with an RTX 4090:
The German MMORPG Albion Online by Sandbox Interactive GmbH has recently made its debut in the Far East. In April, this sandbox MMORPG reached new record numbers of players. Now, the next add-on “Knightfall” not only brings more content but also a new control system.
What kind of game is this? Albion Online is a sandbox MMORPG, available on PC via Steam and also on mobile. It is set in a medieval fantasy world and focuses on a player-driven economy, PvE content, and intense PvP battles.
Depending on the zone entered – there are green, yellow, red, and black zones – dying virtually can either mean losing durability or all belongings. Similarly, the space MMORPG EVE Online operates in this way. PvE lovers should note that they have the option to participate in PvP if they are in any zone except for the black zone.

Many celebrate the WASD feature in the add-on
What do fans say about the new add-on? With the add-on “Knightfall,” there is again a content patch including the WASD feature. This means that movement in the game is realized using the WASD keys on the keyboard.
As seen on Reddit, the comment from Black007lp is currently receiving many upvotes. He states: “WASD? Finally, I can try Albion.” Others, like the YouTuber Mogdone, agree and call this small but great feature a true game changer.
Check out the English opinion of Mogdone in the YouTube post here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VA9qWHetbnA
What else does the add-on bring? In addition to general game improvements, the patch notes (via forum.albiononline.com) indicate the introduction of a new dungeon called “Knightfall Abbey” to the MMORPG. Along with the monastery dungeon, there are also changes to loot and chests.
The streets of Avalon are also getting updates. Additionally, a series of new items are being added. Finally, players are now also allowed to change the gender of their character for gold afterwards.
What are the player numbers? The player numbers have climbed to a new record high in April. The surge on the server, which opened on March 20, 2023, in the Far East, resulted in a record number of approximately 300,000 players at its peak.
Whether this will be a sustainable success remains to be seen in the future. Content patches like the current “Knightfall” are definitely a step in the right direction.

Tom Henderson is considered a well-informed leaker in the shooter scene. Now the alleged insider has revealed details about the presentation of Call of Duty 2023 and shows the date of the planned reveal.
What does the insider say? New is the date of the worldwide reveal of Call of Duty 2023. According to the new report, the “reveal” is set to take place in early August 2023:
It is still unclear in what form the reveal will take place. Due to the late presentation this year, it could again result in a presentation in the form of an in-game event. CoD Cold War (2020) and CoD Vanguard (2021) were both presented in the first part of CoD Warzone.
How certain is this? This is a leak, so it is not really certain. However, leaker Tom Henderson has often been right in the past, having announced the first Warzone months before its release, which was only presented with a trailer one day before its release.
Further down you will find more leaked information about the start of the beta and the possible release date. Here is the trailer for the current Season 3 of Call of Duty:

CoD MW2 & Warzone 2: Season 3 – Trailer
What has already been leaked? In previous reports, Henderson has already talked about further dates and has practically revealed the complete timeline – from the reveal to the release:
Reveal: 08.01.
Beta 1: 10.06. – 10.10.
Beta 2: 10.12. – 10.16.
Campaign (Early Access): 11.02.
Full Release: 11.10.
As previously mentioned: Take the info with a grain of skepticism. These are leaks. Things can change over the course of a project or the information is simply wrong. But Henderson has also proven often enough that he is close to the source.
As soon as there are more concrete details about Call of Duty 2023, you will find more about it on MeinMMO. Currently, even the name is still completely unknown, but a game led by the developer studio Sledgehammer Games is expected.
For a long time, it was even thought that there would be no CoD 2023 at all. CoD MW2 could receive a full-price expansion and remain the current CoD for another year.
Matthew “Mizkif” Rinaudo is one of the most-watched streamers on Twitch. He believes that the platform is not to blame for the lack of viewers for smaller streamers: they just need to get better.
What kind of streamer is he? Mizkif started his Twitch career as a cameraman for the controversial streamer IcePoseidon. The streamer made a name for himself mainly by sitting in front of the camera with attractive women and taking part in every trend and diving into every influencer drama.
The recipe seemed to work: in summer 2022, Mizkif reached up to 50,000 viewers and was among the biggest streamers in the world. But in September, he had a rude awakening when he clashed with a gambling streamer on Twitter, who accused him of covering up a sexual assault by a friend.
After that, things went quiet for Mizkif, but since the end of 2022, the streamer has slowly been making his way back to Twitch. Currently he ranks “only” 77th among the most-watched streamers in the world, but if anyone knows how to be successful on Twitch, it’s Mizkif (sullygnome).
Now he directed harsh words at smaller content creators who want to follow in his footsteps.
Tyler “Ninja” Blevins was also once among the top streamers on Twitch.

Mizkif believes that smaller streamers are to blame themselves
How did he come to these statements? In a stream on May 8, Mizkif spoke about a YouTube video discussing the current state of Twitch. He vehemently disagreed with the point that the streaming platform needs to support smaller content creators more to be discovered.
What does Mizkif have to say about smaller streamers? The 28-year-old apparently believes that Twitch has already done enough to help smaller streamers. There are already plenty of tools on the platform to be discovered by new viewers.
I think most streamers are small streamers because they are not good streamers. And I think Twitch has done a much better job in recent years with recommended [channels] and many other things. I think it’s now 100% fine.

What should smaller streamers do then? Mizkif added that people just want to complain and whine. They just need to get better:
I don’t know what to tell you, go on TikTok, make more TikToks, make more YouTube shorts, try to grow outside the platform.
The streamer explains that viewers tend to join already established communities. Newcomers must therefore build a community elsewhere and bring it to Twitch to become more attractive to new viewers as well.
Mizkif is also against increasing smaller streamers’ share of the revenue from paid subscriptions, the subs. Larger streamers have long benefited from a favorable 70/30 split, while smaller streamers only receive half of the revenue.
As the 28-year-old explains, this perceived injustice motivated him to make his channel bigger.
Perfect New World will be the successor to an old MMORPG classic and just like that one, it will emphasize flying as an important element. For several days now, a closed beta has been running on Steam that is technically not allowed to be shown. Nevertheless, there is quite a bit of video material to be found on YouTube and Twitch.
During character creation, you have the choice of 3 classes for testing, each tied to 3 different races. However, more classes are expected before the release.
The game world is supposed to be completely open. For testing, there will be four different zones, each featuring a different theme. One zone is supposed to be full of puzzles, another focuses on group content like boss fights, and Dracopolis will likely be the capital with a mix of Chinese and steampunk elements like airships.
There will be random events in the game world that appear and which you can participate in.
Perfect New World will have an action combat system without the ability to “lock on” to a target. You will always need to actively aim with your abilities. Additionally, there are combos that enhance your attacks, for instance, when you throw enemies into the air.
However, while the first trailers thrilled many, the gameplay from the beta is not being received well. However, a lot can still change before the release.

Mobile menus and pixelated graphics as points of criticism
Where does the gameplay come from? A video comes from the German YouTuber Toftel, who showed his first 90 minutes in the beta. There you can see character creation and the first quests and battles.
However, Toftel and the viewers of the video have some points of criticism, including:
Gender lock.
A pixelated graphic.
Partially long animations during battles, which somewhat diminishes the action effect. Generally, the first battles were too easy.
A very empty game world.
Menus that strongly resemble mobile MMORPGs.
Optional auto-pathing from one quest giver to another.
Some bugs and performance issues.
In the comments on the video, but also elsewhere, the MMORPG is described as a worse TERA or a worse Revelation Online. Comparisons to Bless Online are also made repeatedly.

However, some critics in the comments also claim that elements such as bugs, menus, or the empty game world can be significantly revised post-beta. The beta is also meant to gather feedback. However, the YouTuber did not report any errors during the video, which was repeatedly mentioned in the comments.
Is there any praise as well? The “YouTuber Perfect New World Gameplays” (via YouTube) and “webYTube” (via YouTube) have published various videos, some of which positively highlight the air battles and flying. Also, the fact that there is already English voice acting in the first beta is a small plus.
However, so far, no video has caused any great excitement.
