With Lord of Hatred came a number of new items to Diablo 4, including a quest item that opens up a completely new activity. Actually, everyone wants to have this item – except for a “lucky one” who can’t do anything with it.
What kind of item is this? The “Trace of Echoes” starts a quest in Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred that makes the “Echoing Hatred” event in Temis available. It is a kind of arena with a toughness test.
In up to 120 levels with increasing difficulty – similar to the pit – you need to defeat as many enemies as you can in a sort of “Last Stand” mode. If you are too slow, you will be overwhelmed by the homonymous mechanic.
The further you get in this arena, the more and better loot there is in a big explosion. Allegedly, this is where the coveted mythical Horadrim seals for the talisman can be found more or less reliably.
However, the “Trace of Echoes” is so rare that most players have never seen it before, while others have seen it multiple times. It is quite possible that this is a bug, as a new discovery confirms.
“Great drop, when you have the expansion”
On Reddit, a user shares their luck of finally getting their first mythic ever. Especially in Season 14, this is worth celebrating, because currently, mythics and their new system mainly cause frustration.
However, the item is “only” a “Trace of Echoes,” something that the creator can’t make use of, since they do not own Lord of Hatred:

The nasty part: the “Trace of Echoes” has a similar but not the same color as a mythic. The post shows how a quest tries to lead the creator to the yet undiscovered Temis. Currently, there is quite a lot of frustration about Season 14 and the changes, especially after Blizzard did so much right with Lord of Hatred and Season 13. Particularly the changes to mythical items and the fact that it is now almost impossible to find a suitable one annoys many – so much that they calculate their bad luck: Players calculate what is currently wrong with Diablo 4 – “Mathematically speaking, we should suffer this season”
