In Diablo 4 there is a new activity since the release of Lord of Hatred – the Echo of Hatred. With this you can put the abilities of your build to the test, but how do you find it and what exactly does it offer? We will show you.
Echoing Hatred – What happens there? In Echoing Hatred (the Echo of Hatred, not to be confused with the quest of the same name) it is about the new activity from Lord of Hatred. In this, you spawn in an arena and then have to face Mephisto’s minions and destroy as many enemies as you can to complete the levels. The further you progress, the more difficult the arena becomes. You can expect up to 120 levels, which are divided into the following difficulty ratings:
- Level 1 – 9: Casual
- Level 10: Torment 1
- Level 50: Torment 5
- Level 100: Torment 10
- Level 120: Torment 12
- In the levels in between, it will understandably become noticeably more difficult the further you climb
Whoever thinks you can play for time will be mistaken. With the arena also comes a so-called “Overwhelm bar”. This grows when enemies spawn. However, if you defeat your foes quickly enough, it shrinks. If the bar reaches its maximum size, you are “overwhelmed” and your round ends.
Basically, what’s counted here is more the clear speed and a high DPS value. The faster and more devastating you kill, the more victorious you will emerge. However, if you fail, you will quickly realize where your limits in the build lie and what you still need to improve.
How do I enter the Echo? To enter the Echo of Hatred, you need to go to the city of Temis and stay at the outskirts of the city heading north. There you will find a small altar with a priestess. For many, the entrance is blocked because you also need the item “Trail of Echoes”.
This Echo, which you randomly receive by defeating enemies and completing activities, activates the quest for the altar. If you follow it, you will unlock the Hidden Eye on the altar to then jump into the activity. Note that you always need to find a new ticket to participate in the activity – so use them wisely and do not waste them.
That was all the important information about the “Echo of Hatred” activity and how you can enter it. Keep in mind that the drop of the ticket unfortunately occurs randomly. So, you need a bit of luck to get it. Have you already tested the mode and what was your best run? Let us know in the comments.
