On July 17, 2026, the Solo Leveling Exhibition opened its doors at Tokyu Plaza in Shibuya. The exhibition for the anime is brand new and has started to receive initial reactions. However, the first impressions mainly focus on the depiction of the protagonist.
What kind of exhibition is this? The event is an interactive experience exhibition dedicated to the anime. There are large-scale recreations of iconic locations from Solo Leveling, such as the double dungeon.

Moreover, there is exclusive fan merchandise that enthusiasts of the anime can obtain. However, it is limited, as there are only 5,000 merchandise sets, which come as a gift with a strictly limited VIP ticket.
Online, the first images of the newly opened exhibition are surfacing. However, particularly the protagonist Sung Jin-woo is attracting special attention.

What’s going on with the protagonist? On X, the site Anime Updates posted two images from the exhibition. One of them shows protagonist Jin-woo sitting on a throne. Below it, there is a comment complaining about the hero’s appearance:
That’s not Jin-woo, that’s Chopped-woo.
On Reddit, this comment is picked up, and many agree with it. They don’t think that the displayed figure looks like Jin-woo. This is mainly due to his eyes, which are much narrower than in the anime and have a different angle.
This has led to many comments ridiculing the statue. Some write that the system hasn’t cleared its poison status yet or that the protagonist looks like he was ordered from Wish. As this article is being written, more and more such comments are pouring in.
