The rumors have been confirmed and Solo Leveling is not getting a 3rd season of the anime, but a movie. And this is truly the best moment in history to make the leap to the big screen.
What project is next for Solo Leveling? After season 2 of the anime, a movie will follow, continuing the story after the Jeju Island Arc.
Coincidentally, there is already a name and an initial image for the movie. The film will be titled “Solo Leveling – Beyond the System – The Movie” and the cover image shows the protagonist being intertwined by lines.
A release date is still not known, only that the film is co-produced by Aniplex, D&C Media Crunchyroll.
Thanks to the title and the image, we can already guess until what point in the story the movie will take place. It was indeed the right decision not to produce a third season, but rather a movie.
Solo Leveling shows one of the best parts in theaters

Why is it so well-suited as a film? Based on the title and the image, it is expected that the movie will cover a total of 3 arcs:
- Recruitment Arc
- Ahjin Guild Arc
- Double Dungeon Arc
The bloodlines in the image correspond to the very first dungeon of Sung Jin-woo. He returned as the sole survivor, albeit with the strange system that allows him to level up indefinitely.
And that is exactly where he finds himself in the movie. We experience the protagonist once again in the dungeon that changed his life forever. And as if that weren’t enough, Sung Jin-woo learns what is really behind the leveling system. This is one of the biggest secrets of the entire anime.
