With this list, we want to introduce you to 5 anime that are perfect for WoW fans. We focused on different aspects, such as a consistent fantasy world, the feeling of dungeon visits, or the comforting sense of belonging that some find especially in digital worlds.
Of course, this list is not exclusively for WoW fans – other fantasy and MMORPG lovers will surely enjoy these series as well.
The Faraway Paladin

Will is raised by the most unlikely of all people: the undead. In the care of a skeleton, a spirit, and a mummy, he spends the first years of his new life. While the skeleton teaches him to fight, the spirit teaches him magic, and the mummy teaches him religion.
But when Will is on the verge of adulthood, it’s time for him to say goodbye and set out on his own path. For adults, it is expected that they pledge an oath to one of the known gods and adhere to this oath for the rest of their lives – in exchange, they gain the favor of this god.
Ultimately, he must accept the state of his “parents” and embark on a journey into a world about which he fundamentally knows very little…
Why is The Faraway Paladin suitable for WoW fans? The Paladin is probably one of the classes with the most deeply rooted lore in WoW, and that is likely why many play it at all. The Faraway Paladin is, of course, a different kind of paladin than that in Blizzard’s MMORPG, yet there are many parallels. Additionally, the series offers an interesting world with great characters and many mysteries you can easily get lost in.
The Faraway Paladin may not be the best anime on this list, but it offers an experience that no other series on this list can reach. If you just want to immerse yourself in a beautiful world filled with mysteries, you’re in good hands here.
