Those waiting for the third season of Solo Leveling still have a few months and maybe even years ahead of them, which they have to spend without the Anime. But there is a good way to bridge the waiting time.
Why is it taking so long? There was not even a year between the end of season 1 and the beginning of season 2. The finale of season 1 aired on March 31, 2024. Season 2 continued on January 5, 2025.
And although many fans have praised the quality of season 2, it is taking a bit longer this time for season 3 to be released. According to a business report from the responsible parties it won’t be until 2027 or even 2028.
What can you do to bridge the waiting time? However, I can give you a tip if you want to bridge this immensely long waiting time somehow: Switch to the Webtoon or, if you prefer, to the Manhwa, which is the Korean variant of Manga.
The sequel to Solo Leveling continues
What about the Manhwa? Solo Leveling itself is already completed as a Webtoon, as well as a Manhwa. The first two seasons cover 110 chapters of the Manhwa. There are a total of 200. So you would still have about half to read if you switch to the source material.
After that, you can read the story of the sequel: Solo Leveling Ragnarok. This time it is no longer about protagonist Sung Jin-woo, but about his son Su-ho.
It will probably take many years before this story is ever shown as an Anime. That’s why it is already worth following the story now. The Webtoon of Ragnarok is already completely finished. The author just recently completed the story. If you are more of a fan of Manhwa, you are still in the middle of the story.
Currently, the Manhwa is in an undefined hiatus, as the artist is on military service in Korea. However, he has already revealed in the last chapter 68 who his successor is. So it shouldn’t be long until the story continues here.
