Actually, Ledgerbound was supposed to be released on August 11 on Steam, but a reviewer seems to have looked very closely.
What game is it about? Ledgerbound is a new turn-based role-playing game in which insurance adjuster Rayna must save not only the world but also her beloved desk job. During her quest, she is joined by numerous companions. Things get pretty heated between them – apparently so heated that Steam had to take another look at the whole thing.
Actually, Ledgerbound was supposed to be released on August 11, 2026, but the release had to be postponed at the last minute. Today, August 13 at 5:00 PM, it should finally be time, and the role-playing game will (hopefully!) launch on Steam.

What exactly do the developers say? They reached out on August 11, shortly before the planned launch, to inform fans that Steam apparently needs significantly longer than originally anticipated to approve Ledgerbound for release. They jokingly say: “It’s just too spicy!”
Some of you may call out at this point: “But aren’t there tons of pure sleazy games on Steam?!” In fact, Valve has no fundamental problem with more adult content; it just needs to be properly labeled, and that’s where the problem likely lies.
While the Steam page points out the coarse language, sexual dialogues (fully voiced by stars like Matt Mercer and Ben Starr!), as well as fantasy violence and mentions of suicide. For the review, Steam has to look at each scene in context that contains one of these elements. And that takes time with over 350,000 words.
Normally, Steam allows 7 working days for such a review. According to the developers, they submitted their game even 15 working days in advance, but even that seems to have not been enough. Perhaps the reviewer or reviewers simply had to take too many cold showers in between.
