The Silver Surfer mostly acts as a cosmic herald for the supervillain Galactus, who enjoys devouring planets. However, the Silver Surfer should not be underestimated. Hulk learned this in 1967 while in Tales to Astonish No. 93. There, he clashed with the Silver Surfer because he wanted to leave Earth.
However, Hulk had no real chance against him. Despite his strength, the Silver Surfer was able to easily withstand Hulk’s attacks. Even when Hulk took the surfboard, he had no chance against him. The Silver Surfer wasn’t even really interested in fighting him. He tried to understand his essence with cosmic thought beams.
He understands the tragedy of being forced by fate to spread despair. The battle ends with the defeated Hulk, who watches the flying Silver Surfer and promises that he will not be forever trapped
on Earth.
