A fight among superheroes results in the death of The Punisher’s children and wife because they happened to be in a park. This leads to a rage building up in The Punisher, which he unleashes in Punisher Kills the Marvel Universe. As the name suggests, he kills many heroes and villains in this comic.
After dealing with Spider-Man, Frank Castle turns his attention to Hulk. He cannot defeat him directly, but he tracks him with a device. He waits until Hulk transforms back into Bruce Banner and then kills the defenseless scientist.
Although The Punisher manages to defeat him this way, it only works because it’s a special series. In other instances, Hulk has already shown that it isn’t so simple to kill him. For such damage, Banner transforms directly into Hulk. Nevertheless, The Punisher takes down one of the mightiest heroes in this comic.
