On the day of the final update to Destiny 2, the entire community gathers to commemorate and celebrate the MMO shooter. However, not only players are making remarks on social media, but also two developer teams, without whom Destiny 2 would not have become what players love so much.
Which teams are being talked about? Both the audio and art teams of Destiny 2 reached out to the player base with messages. They not only express gratitude for the constant support but also want to present the community with last gifts as a farewell while looking forward to the “Monument of Triumph” update.
A farewell from two teams that will continue to be celebrated by the community
How do the teams express themselves? The two messages from the respective teams were shared via the official Destiny 2 account on X:
“We hope that [the armor designs] are a small thank you for everything you have given us,” writes the art team, “We would like to thank you for supporting us, inspiring us, and bringing this world to life in a way we could never have imagined. You give meaning to our art.”
But the audio team’s message also contains gratitude and a gift in the form of the entire soundtrack, which was recently fully released on YouTube:
These songs have accompanied you throughout your successes in the game and still reflect one of Destiny’s central themes: an unwavering optimism for a better future, even in the darkest moments.
[…]
Thank you for being Guardians. May this music accompany you into the future, wherever your fate in the stars may take you.

What are the community’s reactions? The developers’ messages are met with mutual appreciation as many players celebrate the work of the creative teams:
“Some of the best, if not the best original soundtracks in video games that I have heard in my life. Absolutely outstanding talent,” writes eh8904 regarding the audio team’s work, and already received over 2,000 approving upvotes under a repost on Reddit.
But the artistic team behind Destiny 2 also receives praise and thanks from the community, as well as from Narukami_7 on Reddit: “The artistic design has always been flawless. At times even breathtaking. Some of these teams should find employment quite quickly. Their work speaks for itself.”
In addition to the audio and art teams, a voice from Destiny 2, which every player will surely recognize, also bids farewell. The leader of the Warlocks is also unable to conceal her emotions: The voice that each of you has heard in Destiny 2 thanks for the years together, fighting back tears
