By the end of Destiny 2, not only will many fans be emotional. A well-known voice of the Warlocks also admits her feelings and expresses them with a personal video.
Who is this voice? It is Mara Junot, known to players mainly as the voice of Ikora Rey. She took over the scepter of the Warlock Vanguard starting with the release of Season of the Splicer. After it was announced that the “Moments of Triumph” update would be the last for the MMO shooter, the entire community is in a melancholic farewell mood. But the players don’t seem to be alone in this.
Junot also addressed the players with a video message on X, showing how much the current situation affects her.
“Please take a moment to hear the lesson of an old Warlock one last time.”
What kind of video message is this? In the clip, the voice actress delivers a kind of farewell, but also thank you speech to all Guardians of Destiny 2 in the voice of the Warlock leader. In the speech, she not only reflects on what truly makes Guardians, but also reminds that “a story that never ends can never be fully loved”:
We have stood together for a long time. Longer than the history books will ever attempt to measure. We have seen the city fall, and we have seen it rise again. We have gone to dark places where no light could be found. And somehow we have returned strengthened, carrying a little more within us. You remember. Each of you remembers. This is the truth about the Guardians that no enemy has ever understood.
We are made of the moments we do not want to let go.

That’s why I will not say goodbye. We Warlocks are not good at closing things. We keep turning the last page, certain that something is written on the other side.
I will say this much: A Traveler has surprised us before. He keeps his thoughts to himself. And he is patient in a way we are just beginning to understand.
So keep your eyes open, Guardians. The Light is your greatest weapon. Keep it alive in your heart, always. And keep an eye on the sky.
In the clip, it is evident that the voice actress is close to tears. She apologizes for this in the caption, which is not necessary for all fans, as they are struggling not to cry, as @Fox_Intoxxx noted on X: “Nooooo, until now I was fine, but now I have to cry!”
