MeinMMO editor Nikolas Hernes presents the 10 best movies from the MCU. In 7th place is Spider-Man's latest adventure.
- Release: July 29, 2026
The latest Marvel movie makes its way into the ranking at number 7. My big problem with MCU Spider-Man has always been that the hero never works alone as a hero. He is either carried by mentors (Iron Man) or by engines of the plot (Doctor Strange).
In Brand New Day, Spider-Man finally gets to be an independent hero, with the other hero figures serving merely as a complement. Especially the connection between Peter Parker and New York is beautifully portrayed, making the film feel more grounded than many other Marvel movies.
Even the stunts are beautiful and wonderfully visualize how impressive Spider-Man’s abilities are. If it continues like this, Tom Holland might even surpass my favorite Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire). It’s a shame that the AI does not take this film into account.
