MeinMMO editor Nikolas Hernes shows you the 10 best movies from the MCU. In 10th place is the first solo film of Black Panther.
- Release: January 29, 2018
After the hero appeared for the first time in the MCU in Captain America: Civil War, there was directly a standalone film in 2018. Black Panther beautifully establishes Wakanda as a nation, and especially Killmonger works well as the villain.
The conflict between T‘Challa and his cousin Killmonger is not just a family feud to seize the throne. It raises the question of why Wakanda does not help other oppressed communities, even though technological and financial progress is present.
Aside from that, there are also well-choreographed fights that lose a bit of elegance due to CGI use. Nevertheless, it is one of the best Marvel movies that not only fits into the MCU but also gains its own identity thanks to director Ryan Coogler.
