On July 10, 2026, after more than two years of Early Access, Palworld will finally launch as the full 1.0 version. In this article, you will find 9 tips for your perfect start at launch, so you can jump in quickly and easily.
What is Palworld 1.0? Palworld 1.0 is the full version of the game. It goes live on July 10, 2026, concluding the Early Access that has been running since early 2024. The developers at Pocket Pair will introduce a range of new features, gameplay mechanics, and even story quests into the game.
There will also be no server wipe at release. This means you can continue with your existing save files. However, since a lot of fresh content will go live, the developers themselves recommend starting fresh with a new save game.
In this article, we have prepared for you 5 tips if you want to continue with your current progress, and 4 tips for those who want to take a fresh start.
5 Tips for Anyone Who Wants to Carry Over an Old Save to 1.0
If you want to carry over a current save to Palworld 1.0, you can do so. By following these tips, your start will be even better.

Hoard Pals
To start directly with all new content in 1.0, it’s sensible to stock up on enough Pals. Consider the Pals that should keep your base running, as well as those you will take into battle and travel with.
It may also be worthwhile to breed and secure specific Pals you want, especially for the release.
Level Up Your Character and Pals
With 1.0, there will be many new challenges, and old ones will be revised. For example, the tower bosses will change. To be ready for whatever the developers throw at you, you should definitely level up.
Hoard Resources
Fill your chests and warehouses (if you have built any) with the essential items you need for exploring and fighting. These can be finished items like weapons or Palspheres, but also crafting materials for, for example, cakes.
The more you have saved up, the easier 1.0 will be.
Check Your Bases
Now is the time to check your bases and possibly relocate. Maybe there have been better spots with the latest updates than your current locations. For the start of 1.0, even moving to a new position might be worthwhile.
Hoard Important Currencies
In addition to important items, you should also stock up on as much in-game currency as you can. This can include:
- Gold
- Dog Coins
- Ripe Awakening Starfruit
- Training Manuals
- Crystals of Insight
- Status Points
The same applies as with the items: Gather as much as you can for a smooth start.
But be prepared that with 1.0 the currencies and their importance may change again.
4 Tips for Restarting in 1.0
If you want to dive into the deep end with the release of 1.0, a restart is in order. Here are our tips on how to start anew. Click on the titles or the arrow to learn more about each point.
Important: These are our tips based on the Early Access version. Once we have tested the 1.0 version, we will review the tips for relevance.
Save Rare or Important Pals in the Global Pal Box
The first tip is directly one that tells you: Make use of your old saves!
If you do not want to start everything from scratch, for example, catching or breeding rare or powerful Pals, you can store them in the global Pal box.
They will wait there until you meet the requirements for their use in the new save, such as unlocking the needed saddle for riding.
Catch Everything That Isn’t Bolted Down
Especially at the beginning, you will simply need many helpful Pal hands to build your base and farm resources. Of course, there are optimal and less optimal Pals for that, but at the start, it’s mainly about getting going.
Build Your First Base – No Matter Where
It’s almost irrelevant where you build your first base. What matters is that you have one. Naturally, you can move it later on. The important thing is that you have enough space, as some of the base buildings require a lot of room. If the location is somewhat well-protected, for example, with mountains at your back or similar, you won’t need to surround the whole camp with fences during active raids.
But maybe choose an area where you won’t immediately run into high-level Pals.
Quickly Grab a Mount
To move faster and better through the world of Palworld, you need a mount.
- Direhowl for normal traveling
- Chillet for swimming travel
- Jetragon for flying
And especially important: Have fun! 1.0 is expected to change a lot and bring new things – maybe in the end, it will feel like a completely different game than before.
