Call of Duty: Modern Warfare allows you to build your own weapon setups. Some of these can be really strong, even if the base weapon is rather under the radar. We present you a really strong build for the Oden.
What kind of build is this? The build enhances the Oden and ensures that the assault rifle deals a lot of damage.
The Oden already has a lower rate of fire and higher damage than other assault rifles. This build further improves these characteristics.
The “OP Build” for the Oden
Here’s how to assemble the weapon: For the build, you need all five equipment slots that the gunsmith provides you for mods. Build the weapon as follows:
Base weapon: Oden
Muzzle: Silencer (Colossus)
Barrel: Oden Factory 810 mm
Stock: FTAC XL Elite Chassis
Underbarrel: Tactical Foregrip
Grip: Stippled Grip Tape
Instead of the underbarrel, you can also use perks like Extra: Fragile – Impair or ammunition: 30-round magazine. The latter further decreases your ADS speed, which is already a major drawback of the weapon.
Which perks should I take? To complete the build, it’s best to choose the following perks and equipment:
Secondary weapon: MP7 or 725 (with Overkill); X16; situational: Pila
Blue perk: Overkill or Scavenger
Red perk: Hardline
Yellow perk: Amped (if Overkill was chosen), otherwise Battle Hardened
Equipment: Semtex or Frag Grenade and Stim
Field Upgrade: Munitions Box (with Overkill), otherwise Special Ammo Rounds
Strengths and weaknesses of the build
Here’s how the setup works: With this build, you can kill opponents at almost any range on any map with 3 body shots. A headshot even reduces the required hits to two.
Your strength lies at medium and medium to long distances. Since you don’t use a scope, hitting at greater ranges becomes harder and the Oden is less effective from there on.
The best multiplayer modes for the setup are tactical modes like Headquarters, Cyber Attack, and Search & Destroy. Medium and larger maps like Aniyah Palace, Euphrates Bridge, Grazhna Raid, and St. Petrograd are also ideal.
Thanks to the silencer, you are harder to detect, which means that in tighter areas you won’t be overwhelmed immediately. How suppressors work, we’ve explained in this special.
Here are your weaknesses: As strong as you are at your distance, you are weak at all others. The build is exceptionally slow, so you should definitely not rush. Leave that to teammates, whom you can then provide fire support.
Play carefully and mount the weapon.
As the Oden generally has low ammo and a small reserve magazine, your shots should count. Play carefully, use the mounting feature of the weapon, and guard an area rather than trying to take it by force.

More expensive drivers offer you cars that are somewhat faster and even provide 4 seats. This includes the armored Zhaba. However, this is irrelevant for now, as you can simply escape into the sewer tunnels located directly behind the casino. You can quickly get rid of the cops there.
Faster cars are really only important if you want to complete the time challenge of the heist.

Which one is worth it? The choice of a hacker should always be on an expert. The simple reason is that you get more time in the vault. If you save on the hacker, you have less time to steal money, gold, or art pieces in the Casino Heist. So the question is:

The difference between these two hackers is not particularly large. With Paige, you have about 3 minutes and 25 seconds in the vault. Avi Schwartzman gives you about 4-5 seconds more time. That can be important if you need a bit more time at the fingerprint scanners.
So if you can steal enough loot in those extra 5 seconds with Avi Schwartzman, the percent extra share is worth it. Otherwise, go with Paige. It’s entirely up to you.
The players of Dead by Daylight are currently going up in arms and letting their hatred run free. Fair enough, finds Cortyn.
The Dead by Daylight community is currently in turmoil, the subreddit is full of memes, complaints, and also increasingly rude attacks on the developers. This is about a patch that has not even been released. However, how the makers of Dead by Daylight justify their changes just makes me want to bury my face in my hands. I agree with the players’ criticism on almost all points and want to vent my displeasure here and show why Behaviour is currently treading a path from which they will not be able to escape.
What is happening in Dead by Daylight?
Before I get to my little “rant,” I want to first state the facts of the upcoming patch:
This is how Hex: Ruin currently is: The upcoming patch brings some changes to the perk “Hex: Ruin” (in English “Hex: Ruin”), arguably the most popular killer perk so far. In high ranks, it is used in over 80% of all cases. So far, the perk ensures that survivors receive difficult skill checks on generators that either set back progress or do not grant bonus progress if completed perfectly. The perk is deactivated once the associated totem is destroyed by a survivor.
Hex: Ruin is still useful – for now.
This is how Hex: Ruin is supposed to be: In the future, Hex: Ruin will no longer affect the survivors’ skill checks but will impact all generators that are currently not being worked on. These generators will then automatically regress, even without the killer touching them. We have explained this in more detail here.
The developers justify these changes by claiming that new players would have a particularly hard time with Hex: Ruin. New survivors might get frustrated by Hex: Ruin quickly and wouldn’t be a big help to their team if they are put off by the red, difficult skill checks. In “internal playtests,” it has been shown that the revised Ruin is not so dramatic for new survivors and would not diminish the fun of the game.
And here comes a newsflash: New players are not bad because Ruin is present in games. They are bad because they are new and have not yet mastered the mechanics. They do not yet know that when hearing the terror radius they should not panic and run away. They cannot yet accurately assess the environment, the threat, and the actions in the game. Dead by Daylight has a steep learning curve that one must overcome. It is not always easy, but it forms survivors over time who understand and can handle their tasks.
I can understand the desire to make it easier for new survivors to get started. But this is a giant step in the wrong direction.
The entire perk is being changed so that it is no longer frustrating for new players. However, Behaviour is losing sight of the core community of long-standing players. The changes ensure that Hex: Ruin has no significance in matches with somewhat experienced players.
After all, Hex: Ruin was just a “band-aid” to fix perhaps the biggest problem of Dead by Daylight: the duration of matches.
As every year, the TOTY event brings absolute top cards to FIFA 20. However, pulling them is almost impossible, as this event proved again in 2020.

In FIFA you generally need a great deal of luck to pull the absolute top players from packs. But the current event again impressively shows how poor the chances really are.

For example, streamer Castro_1021 invested about 800,000 FIFA Points into packs during a 12-hour stream to pull a TOTY player. To put this into perspective: Buying the largest package of 12,000 FIFA Points on PS4 costs 99.99 euros. So, 800,000 FIFA Points would cost about 6,700 euros based on this price.
This is what the result looked like: Castro did pull good players like Salah from his packs, and there were also icons. That you have an advantage in FIFA 20 if you invest a lot of money in packs is undisputed.
However, he also opened many packs that contained no good players at all. This is something a regular player knows well when they can’t invest money in packs and can only open a few packs occasionally. And above all: He did not pull a TOTY player during the entire stream.
It is clearly visible that even with a huge number of packs, the chance of getting event players is very small. Streamer Castro recoups the money he invested in the game through his streams – but as a normal player, one should probably steer clear of the idea of spending money to pull a TOTY player.

Which device is better now? In a direct comparison, the mouse performs better. However, this only applies if one fully utilizes its functions.
In short: If you are really good with the mouse, you will consistently outperform any controller player. According to Drift0r, you would have to play at the level of a shroud (the “human aimbot”).
Console vs. PC
That’s why the choice of platform is important: In his video, Drift0r also explains that the platform plays a role. CoD: Modern Warfare offers many settings options, such as setting the field of view or screen resolution.
However, such options are only properly usable on PC. Here, native resolutions beyond 1080p can be selected – not by default in the console versions. This means that PC players can play with larger textures by default without having to scale the image, which can lead to input lag.
A resolution like this is not offered natively by consoles.
This is how it was tested: To get an impression of the whole thing, I played with both devices myself. I usually play on PC with mouse and keyboard and even do quite well with it. However, for the test, I played a few rounds with an Xbox One controller.
For the test, I chose the free-for-all mode because this offers the fairest conditions in my opinion and tests solely my skills, not those of a team. This way, I could compare better how I perform with each device.
My impressions with the controller: My first round with the controller was surprisingly very good and even pleasant. As someone who usually only plays platformers and adventures with a controller, Modern Warfare felt quite good.
Aiming was also a less significant problem than I thought. In fact, I found it easier to stay on targets with the scope. After a short time, I even consciously used aim assist, which made the entire game even smoother.
Using the controller is very easy, even for someone who never uses it for shooters. Much works intuitively, such as firing, sprinting, or reloading. Only a few small things like crouching or holding buttons for certain actions are unusual.
However, firing at longer distances was difficult for me. At shorter distances, it actually felt easier to get kills. In the end, I was able to finish all rounds with a solid fourth place or higher and with between 22 and 28 kills.
My impressions with mouse and keyboard: For comparison, I played with the mouse right after my controller rounds. I noticed that I can rely heavily on my muscle memory here.
Many of my movements are automatic and simply a reflex after years on PC. My arm with the mouse moves immediately when I see something. These are movements that I do not have with the controller and probably never will, as my thumbs cannot be trained as well as a whole arm (at least that is my impression).
Moreover, my button mapping for the keyboard is different and adjusted to my preferences. Many commands are on buttons that are easier to reach or on thumb buttons of the mouse. This leads – at least for me – to smoother rounds. I finished all games in positions between 1 and 3.
How the games differ
How do the rounds differ? What I clearly noticed are the different playstyles of the devices and players. With the controller, I was assigned to many controller lobbies. They were mixed, but mostly dominated by controllers.
The symbols show input device and platform. The players’ levels were not fully loaded yet; there are no level 1 players.
During this, I noticed some things that were quite different in controller lobbies, at least in my games, than in my dozens of hours with the mouse:
Much more camping
Shotguns and Claymores are used more frequently
The rounds are more balanced – no one dominates the entire game
The other playstyle is neither better nor worse, just different. However, particularly the Claymores and camping are things that occur less frequently on PC, as faster aiming allows for better reactions here.
In short: Those who play with a controller against mouse and keyboard are at a disadvantage. However, if a mouse player plays carelessly, they will lose against a controller.
Conclusion: Should I play with a controller or mouse now?
If you want to get really good at Modern Warfare, you should opt for the mouse, as this simply offers the better conditions at a higher level. However, this only applies to the absolute best of the players.

Chronicles of Elyria is one of the most exciting MMORPGs currently in development. However, in recent months, there has been very little news about the game. Where does it stand at the beginning of 2020?
What is special about Chronicles of Elyria? The sandbox MMORPG from Soulbound Studios is considered highly ambitious and aims to give you the opportunity to lead a virtual life and create your own dynasty.
The following features stand out:
A massive world with many kingdoms. It should take 48 hours to traverse the world on foot.
Lots of freedom in character development. You can live a life as a merchant, craftsman, adventurer, or ruler of a city.
An aging process where your character gets older and dies. Therefore, you must father a successor.
Role-playing as one of the most important aspects of the MMORPG.
Housing that is to be integrated into the open world.
What is the current state of the MMORPG? Chronicles of Elyria is currently in Pre-Alpha, without a playable version. So far, there is nothing to see of the game aside from some scenes in developer videos, although the release was originally scheduled for 2017.
The MMORPG struggled for a long time to find a publisher and implement its ambitious visions. They ran out of money, and initial employees were laid off.
The latest news and updates on Chronicles of Elyria did not focus on the progress of the game, but rather on claiming territories that are supposed to exist later in the MMORPG, and other browser events.
Some players already doubt that Chronicles of Elyria will ever be released.
This is what happened recently: In August, there was an event called “Searing Plague”. It is a browser game where players could either contract the plague or become immune to it.
The other headlines surrounding Chronicles of Elyria mostly revolved around money. In April, the first players chose their lands, for which a founder package was required.
A special advent calendar for $95 also received negative feedback from some fans. They wonder why so much money can already be spent on shop items without knowing if they will even receive them.
What are the major problems? Besides the publisher search and the money factor, there is still a big problem with Chronicles of Elyria: the engine.
Originally, the MMORPG relied on SpatialOS, the “wonder technology” that is supposed to allow for massive worlds. For cost reasons and because the engine does not deliver 100% of what the developers expected, Chronicles of Elyria is working on its own engine. However, that costs time.
What’s next? Currently, it is hard to say when a playable version of Chronicles of Elyria will finally be released, as almost no new information is being published.
On Reddit about the MMORPG, you currently only find memes or old quotes about promises that were not kept. A Reddit thread compares the progress from 2017 with that of 2019 and concludes that development seems very slow compared to previous years.
Currently, the outlook for Chronicles of Elyria does not look good. However, the developers are still holding on to their ideas and the game. Perhaps we will learn more about the status of the MMORPG over the course of 2020.
The sandbox MMORPG Albion Online gives players a first look at the upcoming Queen Update. This focuses particularly on changes to the Outlands and guilds.

What does the Queen Update bring? The upcoming patch is mainly supposed to make changes to the endgame of the game. The biggest innovations are:
When will the Queen Update be released? The eighth major content update is scheduled to be released on January 20, 2020. According to the developers, it will be the largest game expansion since release in 2017.
What changes in the Outlands? The Outlands are the endgame areas with black zones where players can be automatically marked for PvP and can be killed and looted without punishment.
With the Queen Update, the most valuable areas will be pulled from the northern edge to the center of the island. This is intended to intensify the battles for valuable resources because they can be attacked from all sides.

What are guild hideouts? Another new feature for the Outlands will be guild hideouts that can be established on the maps:
A hideout is a separate base for the guild that can be expanded over time.
In it, you will find merchants, crafting stations, a respawn point, and a marketplace.
The guilds can set who is allowed to enter the hideout. In theory, it can be made public and thus become a new town within an area.
Can guild hideouts be attacked? Guilds must also take care of their home in Albion Online. There is an event when establishing that requires the hideout to be defended. In theory, it can also be attacked and destroyed at any time.
On reddit the developers shared that only the guild that controls the respective area can attack the hideout. This could also lead to a peaceful coexistence between players, where one guild accepts the other in the area.
Revisions of area battles and new 5v5
What changes in area battles? Along with the revision of the Outlands, the battles for areas will also be adjusted. From now on, these will no longer be held in 5v5, but all players of a guild can participate.
A battle will then proceed as follows:
A guild enters the area, kills the guards, and challenges control of the area.
The next day, a battle for the area tower takes place at prime time.
It is also possible that multiple parties fight simultaneously for the tower.

Players who previously only had an interest in 5v5 and not in area control will get new opportunities for PvP.
What’s new in PvP? In the new “expanded battles on the crystal level”, fights can still occur in 5v5 over certain tokens:
The PvP can be entered via an NPC in a city or through your own area tower.
You need five players who have a token of the same level.
The winning faction receives good rewards and the token is upgraded, while the losers must give up their token and earn it back anew.
The system is also intended to allow players without a strong guild behind them to participate in 5v5.
If you enter PvP through your own tower, winning guilds also receive a buff for their area.
What is Albion doing against zergs? Large guilds with a multitude of players can easily dominate in Albion Online. The Queen Update aims to prevent a zerg from blocking an entire area with an intelligent cluster queue.
In addition, there will be an inefficiency factor that ensures that effectiveness in battle is reduced when more than 25 allied players are present in an area.
In May, however, an average of up to 7,000 players visited the MMO daily. The number has since dropped again, but it is still nearly ten times higher in December with 2,590 players compared to January and February 2019.

However, some time has passed, and we take another look at how the player numbers are doing. How have they developed since the launch, and how many Guardians are currently playing on the new platform in Destiny 2?
The player counts on Stadia shortly after the launch
Shortly after the launch, the player counts on Stadia were quite low. On November 22, just 3 days after the launch of Stadia Pro
a total of 9,960 Guardians (0.7% of all players) active throughout the day on Stadia – almost all of them in PvE
44 players played PvP
only 13 players were found in Gambit
52 Guardians dared to enter the Raids
For comparison: On the other platforms, over 1.3 million Guardians were active during the same time.
Note: These low Stadia player counts were likely also influenced by technical issues and the availability of the Founder’s Packs. Many players complained that Stadia did not arrive on time and they had to wait longer for it.

Here is how the player counts looked one week after the Stadia launch: On November 26, one week after the Stadia launch, the situation was already a bit better – albeit still quite low compared to the other platforms. The player counts were as follows:
PC: 494,000
PS4: 454,000
Xbox One: 331,000
Stadia: 19,400
Stadia thus had more than twice as many players compared to November 22. On the other platforms, about 1.27 million players were active.
Here are the player counts on Stadia at the beginning of 2020: How have the Destiny 2 player counts developed at the start of the new year? After all, it has now been 7 weeks since the launch of Stadia.

The number of active Guardians on Stadia has even dropped below the level of the problematic launch time by almost 2,000 players.
All other platforms, PC, PS4, and Xbox One, also experienced declines; on January 2, a total of 1.18 million Guardians were active there. These are normal fluctuations – after all, there is currently less to do in Destiny 2.
However, for Stadia, the drop is really massive, as player counts have decreased by more than 50% (58.7%) compared to November 26. It is hardly attributable solely to a lack of content.
What do these numbers mean for Destiny 2 on Google Stadia?
Bungie surely envisioned this differently. After all, they heavily promoted Destiny 2 on Stadia, touted it, and aimed to establish it as another core platform for Guardians.
Player counts drastically decreased: However, Destiny 2 on Stadia is worlds away from that. Even almost 2 months after the release, still less than 1% of all players are active on the new platform. Player counts have even fallen below the level shortly after the launch when Stadia struggled with availability and technical issues like lags.
Stadia not a cornerstone for Destiny 2: Currently, it does not really look like Stadia will play an important role for Destiny 2. Because even with the now broader availability of Stadia, the still limited selection of available games or the “Buddy Pass” system, which allows players with Stadia Pro to let a friend test the streaming service for free, it did not seem to get more players to play Destiny 2 on Stadia.
Could this change with the free Stadia version? Will the free Stadia Base attract more players? Although the streaming service gets a free version with Stadia Base, it’s likely that this won’t change the player counts significantly.
For the Base version, you don’t have access to the list of (for the Pro version) free games, which also includes Destiny 2: The Collection – you would have to purchase this version separately for Stadia. Whether many will do so with the current numbers remains to be seen.
And the situation regarding the Free-to-Play version Destiny 2: New Light for Stadia Base is still unknown. So far, only the Destiny 2 Collection is available for Pro users, which includes all content, including Forsaken, Shadowkeep, and the 4 Season Passes for Year 3.
In short: Currently, the Stadia platform, with less than one percent of the total players, basically plays no role for Destiny 2, and it is at least questionable whether this will change in the foreseeable future.

The release date of Overwatch 2 might be sooner than we all thought. Is Blizzard’s shooter set to release this year?
Just a few months ago, Overwatch 2 was announced as the successor to Blizzard’s popular hero shooter. A release date seemed far off then – or was it? A supposed leak may have revealed a planned release date for Overwatch 2. Accordingly, we might not have to wait that long.
Where did the leak come from and what was said? The leak comes from an article from the Brazilian PlayStation site. Here, an interview with developers Michael Chu and Aaron Keller from the Overwatch team was published. The article claimed that “2020 will be the year Overwatch 2 arrives on PS4.” So, it’s basically a credible source.
The article has been modified retroactively: However, it should be noted that the article has since been edited and no longer mentions a release in 2020 – that passage has been removed. Whether this was simply a mistake or the author let slip a piece of information that was supposed to be secret can’t be determined in hindsight. Therefore, this information should be taken with a lot of caution.
The excitement among fans has evidently significantly increased due to this news.
Overwatch 2 will not be an easy successor: Overwatch 2 is special in that it is more than just a simple successor. Instead, Overwatch 2 will gradually merge with its predecessor. Players will play in the same matches and also have the same cosmetics unlocked. Only the PvE missions and the likely significantly polished graphics are distinctive features of Overwatch 2. Todd Coleman, founder of the developer studio ArtCraft, explained on Twitter: “The development of Crowfall was interesting: When we started, the game relied much more heavily on survival mechanics. Over time, we added more and more strategy and removed the survival mechanics. After launch, we will be the most strategic virtual universe (and in my opinion, even surpass EVE Online).”

What does “most strategic MMO” mean? Crowfall does not place you in a persistent world where you experience adventures for a long time and improve your hero. You own a so-called Eternal Kingdom, which you continuously expand. To do this, it’s necessary to collect resources and rewards in the Dying Worlds.
To obtain these things, you must fight a campaign in one of the Dying Worlds. For this, you take on a physical form, explore the world, fight against other players – even in siege battles – and collect the resources. When the campaign ends, you return to your Eternal Kingdom and continue to expand it.
So it is more about tactics and strategy as well as good planning than about exploring a world, completing quests, and experiencing adventures.
How is this related to EVE Online? In CCP Games’ MMORPG, planning and strategy are also extremely important. Huge battles are usually planned weeks or months in advance, preparations are made to ensure everything runs smoothly. Even leading guilds or corporations is a rather strategic matter.

We advise against booking flights or hotels to or in Dortmund at this time. Wait until the date is officially announced by Niantic.
That Westfalenpark is suitable was proven not only during the GO Fest: A Safari Zone was also held in Dortmund.

How well does Sunshot perform in PvP: Hand cannons are considered by many guardians to be “the” weapon class in the crucible. Precise, deadly, and a cool look – this sums up the revolvers in PvP.
Almost all revolvers have lost range. With Sunshot, part of the damage is shifted to the explosive rounds. These have no damage drop-off – no matter the distance.
In the course of the nerfs, the animation of many hand cannons has been adjusted. They now shoot much more accurately. So Sunshot benefits from the changes doubly. You should definitely give the exotic a chance in PvP.

How well does Sunshot perform in PvE: In the fight against the Darkness and the AI enemies of the Guardians, Sunshot does exactly what a primary weapon should do: clear adds.
The explosions take out a whole horde of minions or other enemies at once. All you have to do is take down a single target, and not even with a well-aimed headshot.
Often, due to the explosive chaining, one hit is enough to deal with an entire wave of enemies. With a decent magazine size and excellent reload speed, you always have a round ready. Additionally, playing this way is just incredibly fun.

Special Weapon: Shotgun or Sniper
Power Weapon: Grenade Launcher
With your shotgun, you take on tougher majors. The Perfect Paradox deals with Cabal Centurions effortlessly, for example. If you prefer to fight ogres from a safe distance, equip Sniper Rest in the kinetic slot.
If it comes to dealing good boss damage, you are no longer reliant on exotics in the power slot. Grenade Launchers like Wendigo or Raven’s Swarm can also keep up with the toughest bosses.

What can Sett do? Sett is a fighter and meant for the top lane. His skills are:
Boisterous (Passive): Sett’s normal attacks alternate between the left and right fist. The right fist deals additional damage. Additionally, Sett’s health regeneration increases by 0.25 for every 5% missing health.
On my own [Q]: Sett gains 30% movement speed for 1.5 seconds and his next two attacks deal additional damage.
Swinger (W): Passive: Sett stores damage as Boisterous. Active: Sett charges up for a massive strike, dealing damage to enemies +25% of the stored Boisterous as absolute damage.
On the Twelfth (E): Sett throws enemies on both sides of him against each other, dealing damage. If there is at least 1 enemy on each side, they are stunned for 1 second.
The K.O. criterion (R): Sett grabs an enemy, pulls him forward, and slams him to the ground. Enemies in the area take damage and are slowed by 99% for 1.5 seconds.

Where does Sett come from? Sett comes from humble beginnings in Ionia, where his father was a very famous brawler. One day his father disappeared, and Sett found out that he had bought himself out of his contract and was now fighting successfully elsewhere in the world.

What are the disadvantages of Steam? Valve takes 30 percent of the revenue for allowing developers to offer their game on the platform. That is not insignificant. Additionally, there is the refund option mentioned earlier. Especially with games that require some time to get into and do not show what they are really capable of within the first two hours, this can lead to some refunds.
Is Escape from Tarkov now being released on Steam? The FAQ of the game still states that a release on Steam is planned. However, the FAQ has not been updated since 2015. There is also no contrary statement from the developers on the subject. Therefore, it can be assumed that Escape from Tarkov – as the developers already mentioned – will be released on Steam shortly after release when the game is in good condition.
