The Loot Shooter Outriders offers particularly special killing tools with legendary weapons. Some of these are already available in the demo. We show you which ones are available and whether they are worth it.
What are legendary weapons? These are the rarest weapons in Outriders. As many players should know from other loot shooters, there are different rarity levels in Outriders from Gray (normal) to Gold (Legendary).
What makes them special? Legendary is, as far as is known so far, the last weapon tier. These weapons are particularly rare, have special properties, and feature a unique design. They come with mods that have their own effects, setting these weapons apart from others.
Players who play the free demo of Outriders, which has been available since February 25, can already get some specimens. MeinMMO shows you the 10 legendary weapons that have been found in the demo so far and whether they are worth it.
1. Rarog’s Gaze (Rifle)
- Legendary Mod: Weakness Trap
- Shots cause explosions that deal 46 damage in a radius of five meters and inflict a weakening effect on enemies. Cooldown: 3 seconds
- Secondary Mod: Burning Bullets
- Shots cause a burning effect on enemies. Cooldown: 8 seconds
2. Torment and Agony (Pistol)
- Legendary Mod: Judgement Enforcer
- Shots mark enemies. When you reload, you deal five times the weapon damage to each marked enemy
- Marks disappear when you switch weapons
- Secondary Mod: Clip Combustion
- Reloading the weapon causes a shockwave that deals 25 damage to enemies within 5 meters.
3. Golem’s Limb (Pump Action Shotgun)
- Legendary Mod: Golem Rising
- Kills grant you a protective Golem effect for 3 seconds
- Secondary Mod: Vampire
- Kills grant you +15% lifesteal for skills, lasts 20 seconds
4. Thunderbird (Assault Rifle)
- Legendary Mod: Ultimate Storm Whip
- Shots summon lightning strikes on enemies, dealing 26 damage
- Secondary Mod: Striga
- You receive 30% of your critical damage back as health points
5. Aerie Master (Pump Action Shotgun)
- Legendary Mod: Weightlessness
- Shots cause enemies to float for 5 seconds.
- Secondary Mod: Critical Point
- Increases the chance to score a critical hit by +15%
6. The Iceberg (Rifle)
- Legendary Mod: Winter Blast
- Can freeze enemies within a radius of four meters with critical hits
- Secondary Mod: Icebreaker
- Killing frozen enemies causes them to explode and deal 90 damage in the vicinity
7. The Migraine (Submachine Gun)
- Legendary Mod: Ultimate Bleeding Bullets
- Shots inflict a bleeding effect on enemies.
- Secondary Mod: Bomb’s Ahead
- Kills turn enemies into an anomaly bomb that deals 101 damage. Cooldown: 3 seconds
8. Amber Vault (Double Gun)
- Legendary Mod: Killing Spree
- Kills increase weapon damage by 30% for 30 seconds. Bonus decreases over time, can stack up to 5 times
- Secondary Mod: Brain-Eater
- Critical hits consume no ammunition
9. Voodoo Matchmaker (Assault Rifle)
- Legendary Mod: Ultimate Damage Link
- Shots link two enemies, sharing 30% of the weapon damage and 10% of the skill damage they receive
- Secondary Mod: Vulnerability Bullets
- Shots inflict a weakening status on enemies, during which they take more damage. Cooldown: 8 seconds
10. Grim Marrow (Light Machine Gun)
- Legendary Mod: Singularity
- Kills create an anomaly singularity. When it is destroyed, it explodes and deals 240 damage to enemies within a radius of 6.5 meters
- Secondary Mod: Improved Stiffening
- Shots slow enemies down. Cooldown: 4 seconds

It may be worth having legendary weapons now
Why should you need legendary weapons in the demo? The progress you make in the demo will carry over to the main game if you purchase the full version. Everything you achieve in the demo also affects the main game.
However, in the demo, you can only reach level 7. The main story progresses up to level cap 30, and in the endgame, the gear level goes up to 50.
What is the benefit of farming legendary weapons now? The trick is the crafting system of Outriders. By dismantling equipment, you can extract the modifications from the respective weapons and attach them to other equipment pieces.
Although the mod function is not yet available in the demo, you can already dismantle equipment and collect mods. Or you can just hold on to your weapons for the main game.
Of course, it depends on how much time you want to invest to farm these weapons. As the chance is low, it may take quite a while before you get one.
