The biggest MMORPG streamer in the world, Asmongold, created a tier list with 33 bosses from Elden Ring during a Twitch stream. He placed seven of these bosses at the highest tier, but feared opponents like Malenia and Margit didn’t make it to the top.
Which bosses narrowly missed the S-tier? The Twitch streamer Asmongold rated 33 “Elden Ring” bosses. In total, he assigned 7 of these 33 opponents to the highest tier, the S-tier.
It is notable that some of the most feared or notorious bosses did not reach the very top and landed in the A-tier, the second highest level.
Why isn’t Malenia in the S-tier? For Asmongold, Malenia is primarily defined by her special combo attack: the Waterbird Dance. This is strong and makes the fight difficult. Some players got creative and threw jars to counter Malenia.
Without the Waterbird Dance, she would be a significantly easier opponent according to Asmongold. It feels like the player is fighting a single gimmick. Why Malenia is A-tier for Asmongold, he explains in the following clip:

What kind of list is this? The list created by the Twitch streamer Asmongold is a so-called tier list. It organizes various things. There are tier lists for characters in games, types of bread, or movies.
The list created by Asmongold covers 33 bosses from the successful title Elden Ring. He assigned the bosses to the tiers S, A, B, C, D, and E. Here, “S” is the highest rating and “E” is the lowest.
What criteria were decisive? Asmongold rated various criteria and especially focused on mechanics that define the bosses or the fights. He deviated from purely difficulty ratings.
For example, a boss was rated poorly due to its immunity to magic, as it can be frustrating for players who are specifically set up for that.
In contrast, he rated Godrick relatively high, even though he found him comparatively easy. In this case, the reasoning was that he is one of the “coolest” bosses in the game.

The drink Skooma is an illegal drug that appears in the role-playing series of The Elder Scrolls and is also part of the MMORPG ESO. Nowadays, you can also buy the notorious drink in real life. The reviews are even very positive.
What is Skooma? Skooma is a drug in the world of Tamriel that is produced illegally. It is brewed in shady alchemy labs of the Dunmer, an elf race.
Consumption of Skooma leads to a strong addiction and can even lead to death. An initial phase of euphoria is supposed to be followed by a paralyzing narcolepsy. Therefore, its sale is officially prohibited in the game world, and you often encounter addicts in the role-playing games who are not doing well at all.
What about the “real” variant of Skooma? The drink in real life is sold by the company Jim and Tonic. It comes in bottles that visually resemble the symbol in the games. After all, it is also sold in collaboration with Bethesda.
It consists of 69% absinthe, and for 700 milliliters, you pay around 82 euros. However, the product is currently sold out.
The reviews on the website are consistently positive, and also a colleague from PCGamer has now tried the drink and reported on his experience with it.
This is what the “real” bottle of Skooma looks like.
Impressive effect even without magic
How is the drink received? Of course, the brewers of Jim and Tonic do not have access to Magicka and the ingredients from the games, but still, the absinthe seems to be well received. It took second place at the UK Spirit Master, an event for absinthe connoisseurs.
Additionally, there are a total of 75 reviews for the drink on the sellers’ website, of which 73 have given the full score of 5 stars. There the praise piles up regarding the taste, prompt delivery, and especially the bottle design.
According to Luke Winkie, the author of the article at PCGamer, the drink is said to have a hint of citrus, vermouth, and foliage, combined with a napalm effect that singes your eyebrows. A very interesting description.
However, absinthe should be consumed with caution. The high alcohol content poses a risk. The reviews warn against drinking more than one shot. Others recommend mixing Skooma with other drinks.
Blizzard is looking for someone to protect and preserve the Warcraft story. And the most famous “know-it-all” from World of Warcraft has applied for it.
Even after the major scandals at Blizzard in recent years, it is still a dream for many to be able to work for this game developer. A job posting promises a very special position that probably doesn’t come around often. Blizzard is looking for an “Archivist for the Warcraft Story” – and the most famous “know-it-all” in the Warcraft community has promptly applied: the “Red Shirt Guy”.
What kind of position is that? The job is for an “Associate Historian, Lore” – a position that probably only exists in a few companies. The task of this person will be to catalog and keep up-to-date the history of Warcraft with all its details. It is not just about having an overview of the storyline, but also capturing even the tiniest detail that has ever been mentioned – whether it be within the “main canon”, such as in Warcraft III and World of Warcraft, or in the expanded universe, such as in Hearthstone or the comics and manga that are not part of the official story.
This position is not entirely new, by the way. Blizzard has had such employees for many years who have access to the “Vault” – a massive archive containing all references and details related to many Warcraft contents. These “Warcraft Historians” are points of contact for other developers who want to continue the current story and verify or inquire about details. After all, it is nearly impossible to have every little detail that was ever mentioned in a quest or NPC dialogue directly in one’s head.
Who is the Red Shirt Guy? Applying for the position is Ian Bates, known to many simply as the “Red Shirt Guy”. He made a name for himself at BlizzCon when he asked a question about the then-latest expansion “Cataclysm”. He wanted to know where the dwarf Falstad Wildhammer had gone, who was supposed to be present at the Council of Three Hammers in Cataclysm. However, he was absent.
The question completely threw both Chris Metzen and Alex Afrasiabi off guard at the time: “Isn’t he dead since ‘Day of the Dragon’?”
Bates then explained that the dwarf had survived, and the WoW developers promised to fix this detail in the beta of Cataclysm.

Bates has since been the “Red Shirt Guy” due to the clothing he wore at that time. At the same time, he has received an NPC in World of Warcraft, the “Wildhammer Fact Checker” – also dressed in red.
But even in the years that followed, Bates repeatedly engaged with the lore surrounding World of Warcraft, pointing out problems and compiling a wealth of information to highlight developments or uncover difficulties with the current storytelling.
The community sees the perfect candidate: For many in the community, it seems clear: if someone is suitable for the job as “Lore Historian” in Warcraft, it is the “Red Shirt Guy” Ian Bates.
In fact, Bates has even applied for the position, as he shared on Twitter.

The Iron Banner is currently taking place in Destiny 2. Players earn valuable pinnacle gear and Iron Banner tokens in this regular PvP event. However, those who wanted to keep their Iron Banner tokens should not do so. MeinMMO tells you why you should act quickly now.
Last Tuesday, the first Iron Banner, a recurring, temporary PvP event hosted by Lord Saladin, officially started in Season 16. It not only brought variety to PvP but also two new weapons. Among them are the hand cannon “The Borderlands’ Scream” and the sword “Blade of the Knife” as well as another origin trait.
Article Update, April 08, 2022: In the meantime, Bungie has commented on the Iron Banner tokens in the current TWaB (This Week at Bungie blog). As MeinMMO has already suspected, there will indeed be updates regarding Saladin and how he distributes rewards. This will automatically lead to the elimination of Iron Banner tokens and loot pulls.
Since the Iron Banner is an event that is only active every 4 weeks, we would like to remind you again that you only have two Iron Banner events left to collect your rewards, including the week from April 12 to April 19, 2022. Anyone who has not redeemed their tokens by Tuesday, May 24, at 7 PM, will no longer be able to use them.
The new weapons from the Iron Banner in Season 16.
What tokens are we talking about exactly? During the event, players earn what are called Iron Banner tokens, a currency that can later be exchanged for Iron Banner rewards, such as weapons and armor, from Lord Saladin.
Last weekend, Bungie unexpectedly and at very short notice warned players that they should definitely turn in these tokens by the end of the event. And this is despite the fact that two more Iron Banner events are still planned this season.
The next Iron Banner event will take place on April 12, 2022.
You will have your last chance on May 10, at the last Iron Banner of Season 16.
The Season of the Risen officially ends on May 24, 2022.
This is what Bungie communicated: Dylan Gafner (dmg04), Bungie’s Senior Community Manager, stated on Friday on his Twitter account that he recommends players to hand in their Iron Banner tokens, because otherwise, they will be lost by the end of the last Iron Banner event in Season 16.

Why is this notice so important? In the past, Bungie has implemented a new reputation rank system for several NPC vendors to provide players with more direct ways to claim their loot. Instead of collecting activity tokens, players now automatically level up and gain reputation for playing the respective activity.
This is how the old token system works: Players earn weapons, armor, or resources during their adventures in Destiny 2, but also tokens. They primarily earn these marks in what are called core activities (Strikes, Gambit, PvP). If you bring a certain amount of tokens to the corresponding NPC vendor of the activity, you will receive a rank-up and a random legendary item in exchange.
This will likely change in the Iron Banner soon: As it appears now, the new reputation rank system will soon be activated for Lord Saladin and the Iron Banner.
You will automatically level up just by playing the Iron Banner activity
There are fixed rewards to aim for
As rewards, rare upgrade materials, often an Ascendant Shard await
You can even reset your rank and then enjoy exotic engrams
Although this change for the Iron Banner has not yet been officially confirmed by Bungie, the announcement from the Community Manager makes this very likely in the near future, at the start of Season 17.
Lord Saladin stands in the Tower during the event, one stair above Lord Shaxx.
How to redeem your Iron Banner tokens with Lord Saladin
When should you redeem the tokens? It is advisable to hand in your earned Iron Banner tokens to Lord Saladin by Tuesday, May 24, at 7 PM, which is when the last Season 16 Iron Banner event will take place from May 17 to May 24.
You can see how many you have in your inventory, as you currently automatically receive tokens by completing matches and Iron Banner loot pulls, with victories rewarding you with more tokens.
For each completed Iron Banner loot pull, you receive 50 Iron Banner tokens each
20 tokens can be exchanged with Lord Saladin for a piece of Iron Banner gear.
To ensure that you don’t lose anything, you should definitely check in with Lord Saladin. Players who do not hand in their Iron Banner tokens with Lord Saladin may lose them. Please also be aware that there may already be planned downtime for the weekly reset.
How many Iron Banner tokens do you still have in your inventory? Are you looking forward to this adjustment, or does it annoy you that you constantly have to redeem your tokens because Bungie is restructuring the NPC vendors? How do you like the new reputation rank system for vendors? Better or worse?

If you’re considering starting with GTA Online in 2022 or returning to the world of Los Santos, we will show you what has changed and why the game is worth it.
Genre: Action/Third-Person Shooter | Developer: Rockstar North | Platform: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S | Release: 01.10.2013
What can you expect? GTA Online has a lot of content that has been added gradually since its release in 2013. You don’t have to pay for new DLCs; everyone gets access to them. However, the new properties and vehicles cost GTA dollars, which you can buy for real money or earn in the game.
GTA Online offers a variety of content for single-player and multiplayer, ranging from exciting heists to racing to quiet tournaments on the golf course. But is it worth starting with GTA Online in 2022? We clarify that question here.
What can newcomers expect?
GTA Online summarized: In GTA Online, you will find a world full of criminal activities. Because hardly anyone makes money here the “normal” way. And that is your goal: to earn lots of money so you can buy the content that Rockstar Games regularly releases. Of course, you want to park the new Lambo in your garage, but you first need to get those millions into your bank account.
You can manage drug labs as the boss of a biker gang and deliver the finished product to your customers. Motorcycles too boring? Then steal valuable cargo with planes and bring it to your hangar. But even in heists, whether solo or in co-op mode, you fill your piggy bank.
In sessions with other players, events take place where you have to deal the most damage in a matter of seconds. To do this, you destroy cars and blow them up. The three most destructive players will be rewarded afterward.

Everything you need to know about GTA Online – in 2 minutes
Racing: A key component of the GTA series is racing. Whether with cars, boats, planes, motorcycles, bicycles, or in stunt races, everything at once. Depending on the race, you can use your tuned vehicles and compete against other players with their souped-up rides.
Shooting: You will reach for a weapon in almost every area of GTA Online. It is one of the core elements of the Grand Theft Auto series to shoot randomly or deliberately. In PvP modes, you face other players directly in the game areas and duel with provided weapons. If you prefer to play in co-op, then you can use your arsenal in heists to rake in millions of GTA dollars.
In the open sessions in Los Santos, shootings are the order of the day. The selection ranges from stun guns to laser weapons to guided missiles. If it all becomes too colorful for you, you must activate passive mode and will be protected from the nasty deeds of other players. However, you will have to forgo some content that you cannot use from your “safe” position. For example, you cannot attack enemies while you are invulnerable. Important deliveries of drugs, which earn you money, are also not possible. You can change your hairstyle, drive around, shoot at civilians, and handle similar small tasks in passive mode.
Money grind: As a new player, you will initially be pleasantly overwhelmed by the various contents of GTA Online. But you will quickly realize that money rules the world in Los Santos as well. For a cool super sports car that you saw with another player, you need to put a few million dollars on the table.
This quickly develops into a grind because naturally there are a few ways that are more lucrative than others. Someone who robs gas stations all day, races, and plays PvP modes will earn less money than someone who grinds the Cayo Perico Heist in the same time.
Bonus: The story in Grand Theft Auto V is a highlight
What is happening there? Fans love the Grand Theft Auto series for its crazy stories, which often tie into real events or people, which the game then pokes fun at. The story of GTA 5 is absolutely recommended.
You control three protagonists in single-player: Michael, a family man and former bank robber. Trevor, who was once Michael’s heist partner and still has an account to settle. And Franklin, who wants to elevate his boring life with a few hot jobs.
Trevor, Franklin, and Michael – Each has their own personality, strengths, and weaknesses
All three types have a great chemistry together, which runs through the various story missions. During the campaign, all your skills with the weapon, in the car, in the water, and in the air are called for. You will even encounter different endings that you trigger depending on your choices.
Conclusion: Is it worth it for newcomers? Pros and cons
Pros
Low entry barrier
Many different contents in game modes that appeal to different player types
Large selection of cars, from muscle cars to super sports cars
Lucrative group and solo content
Tactical gameplay and mindless “I’m watching Netflix while grinding”
Compelling story in single-player
Good graphics despite being an “old” game
Dedicated versions for PS5, XSX|S
Cons
Lots of grinding
Toxic players
Hackers are a problem on PC
Sometimes still long loading times in multiplayer
What can returning players expect?
What has happened recently: In March 2022, Rockstar Games finally released the standalone version of GTA Online. So if you are not interested in the story mode and just want to play online, you don’t have to buy “the whole” game, but can access the cheaper online standalone version.
On March 29, Rockstar Games launched the paid “GTA+” subscription for GTA Online. It has a fixed price of €6 per month and offers exclusive bonuses. Subscription customers receive special content before other players, as well as cash gifts and special discounts.
Depending on when you left GTA Online, a lot has happened since then. In 2015, the heist update fundamentally changed the online mode and finally provided repeatable content that players still love today. In 2016, the large DLC Further Adventures in Finance and Felony was released, which brought alternative ways to earn money and opened up the grind.
Another highlight was the release of the Bikers DLC, which focused its content on motorcycles and motorcycle clubs. You acquire the raw materials, your employees process the stuff, and you sell coke or similar things on a large scale. In the same year as the Biker DLC, the Import/Export DLC was also launched, which still offers one of the most lucrative ways to earn money.
In the coke lab, your employees process the stuff – You then transport the goods to customers and cash in
The next major highlight shouldn’t take long to arrive. The release of the Cayo Perico update brought one of the heists into the game that still earns you a lot of money today. With our solo guide for the Cayo Perico Heist, you can quickly earn millions. The story revolves around the drug lord “El Rubio”, who owns a fancy private island where people party a lot. Coincidentally, there are also a lot of drugs and valuables on the island that you are supposed to steal in the heist.
El Rubio – The story leads you to his island and to the party. Later, you rob him over and over again
The quality-of-life highlight followed in 2021. An update fixed the eternally long loading times – Previously, a fix was found by a community member after players had criticized for years how slow everything was.
With the Gunrunning DLC, new types of income and a way for weapon upgrades were introduced to the game in 2017.
Smugglers Run brought access to hangars and cool planes in 2017, as well as a new way to earn money through the collection of deliveries.
At the end of 2017, the Doomsday Heist caused a stir, which also introduced a flying car.
With the Arena War DLC, new game modes and car variations entered the online world of GTA 5 in 2018.
In Summer 2021, Rockstar Games released the big Tuner Update featuring the LS Car Meet and special tuning missions
In Winter 2021, the big story update “The Contract” followed, bringing Franklin back from single-player to the online world. Additionally, there are agencies in the game where you interact with Franklin and his clients.
Players who left due to too much grind: Earning money in GTA Online is still associated with a certain grind. While there are now various options like the Cayo Perico Heist or missions as a biker boss/CEO, you still need to invest time.
How to earn the most money currently is shown in our money guide for GTA Online:
Players who left due to lack of group content: Lucrative group contents that fill your account are heists in GTA Online. The heists run through several missions and culminate in a big finale that can pay out several million GTA dollars for your group. Rockstar Games regularly brings new heists as group content that you can also play solo.
Additionally, there are various game modes from racing to regular missions that you can complete in co-op or versus.
Players who left due to lack of roleplay: Since 2017, roleplay has become increasingly popular on GTA servers. On Twitch, this gained more attention and gave the “old” GTA Online top rankings on the streaming platform. A look into this community is worthwhile if you’re into roleplay in the world of GTA 5.
What will happen with GTA Online? In the future, we can probably expect more DLCs for GTA Online. Typically, developers release one to two major updates per year that are free for all players. The content from these updates can be purchased for GTA dollars that you earn in-game or buy for real money.
New DLCs again bring new ways to earn money. This ensures variety in the content. However, the developers have always remained true to themselves and brought a mix of madness, shootings, and entertainment with every update.
GTA 6 has been announced. Many players are now waiting for it. How many years it will be until the release is unclear. But it can be assumed that Rockstar Games will continue to bring more updates to the online world of Grand Theft Auto V in the meantime, in which you can let loose.
Who is GTA Online still worth it for in 2022?
I have now spent over 800 hours of gameplay in GTA Online. I regularly play the new content, grind, and purchase cars and properties. I enjoy playing in co-op with friends to experience the tactical heists with their crazy stories as a group and have fun together.
However, I cannot recommend the game to everyone.
In GTA Online, earning money has certainly become easier, but you still have to play a lot to afford the super sports cars with prices in the millions. And tuning comes as an extra cost on top of that. With every update, you should have a few million dollars on hand to afford the new essential content at all. You then make money from this to pay for even more new content.
In lobbies on PC, encounters with modders are usually a very negative experience. They can force you to seek out a new session with their hacks. Alternatively, you watch your character die over and over again – without doing anything.
On the other hand, GTA Online offers a wide variety of content. You can race alone or with passengers against other players, shootouts occur in open lobbies and also in special game modes. You have endless PvP content.
Even PvE friends will get their money’s worth with heists. This now works even solo OR as a group.
I recommend starting or playing together with friends. In a group, you have much more fun with the content, and reliable teammates in heists are worth their weight in gold.
If you have an allergy to grinding, it’s better to pick a different game.

In Pokémon GO, trainers have been demanding a way to communicate within the game for years. Now, players have renewed hope that a long-awaited in-game chat could soon become a reality after a recent update. We at MeinMMO explain what has happened.
What function is it about? In Pokémon GO, trainers can form friendships and thus fight, trade, or send gifts together. However, communication cannot occur through the game.
This missing feature has been criticized by many trainers for a long time. After all, it is useful to discuss strategies before raids or level-ups. However, this is only possible through other external platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook, or Discord.
Therefore, the demand for an in-game chat is growing louder among many trainers. However, there are new hopes that this could soon become a reality. We explain why.
This is why trainers have hope for an in-game chat again
As trainer SambucaSebi shows in his reddit post, Niantic has added a new function to its other augmented reality game Ingress Prime. Under “Niantic Social,” players there have had the option to chat and coordinate with each other for a few days now.

As StevensDs, another reddit user, explains in the comments, this chat functions similarly to Discord and is quite easy to use. Trainer JGCInt also goes into more detail about the chat function in his comment.
Yes, and you can create communities within the game (no external apps required) and some other things. That’s pretty cool. Oh, and you can also contact your PoGo/Pikmin friends when they are available to chat. This way, you can coordinate trade actions/friendship level ups.
Since Ingress Prime has now received an in-game chat, many trainers hope that this will soon be implemented in Pokémon GO as well. Comments like that of Heavy-Background-217 can be found on social networks regarding this news.
He writes under the post: “Wait, can we send messages to people in-game?! Ahhhhh, I can’t wait for Niantic Social to come to PoGo” (via reddit.com).
This suggests that it could soon be possible in Pokémon GO.
What speaks against an in-game chat: However, the protection of players, especially for children and adolescents, plays a crucial role, which is why Niantic would need to make appropriate provisions. Some trainers also view the input rights from Nintendo critically.
Thus, the following comments can be found on reddit (via reddit.com):
Kel-nage: “Hmmm… I don’t want to be a spoilsport, but I’m really not sure if this will ever come to PoGO. Ingress is obviously Niantic’s IP – so they have a lot of flexibility there. The holders of the IP for PoGO and Pikmin have been very cautious about incorporating broad, unrestricted social functions into their games – therefore I’m not sure if this will be made compatible with all their games”
ArcanineFan01: “Yes, it’s unlikely that Nintendo would allow it (they own one third of the Pokemon company and own Pikmin). They are pretty opposed to messaging services after the 3DS services were abused.”
Duarjo: “I’m glad to hear that the likelihood is very low that Nintendo will allow this service in a game associated with its brand… I would hate to see what happens with an in-game chat”
Whether there will actually be an in-game chat in Pokémon GO in the future remains to be seen. If Niantic provides further information on this, you will of course find out here on MeinMMO.
What do you think about the implementation of a chat function in Ingress? Would you like to see this in Pokémon GO as well? Or do you have concerns that a chat would only lead to problems among players? Feel free to share your opinion here in the comments on MeinMMO.
Rebirth Island is currently bringing more fun to many players than the large map Caldera in Call of Duty: Warzone. The small island stands for quick action and exciting battles. We will show you how to easily secure powerful bonuses at the start of the round on MeinMMO.
What are the advantages? You can use 3 different key cards on Rebirth Island and receive hefty bonuses in a vault:
Vikhor’s Card: Loadout Drop and Cash
Effort: Low
Forgotten Card: Specialist Token, Loadout Drop and Cash
Effort: High
Perseus Card: Improved Recon Drone and Cash
Effort: Low
If you focus on the cards at the start of the match, you will start with advantages. MeinMMO shows you the locations of the cards on the map with tips on how to best get there.
You must then use the cards in the southern part of the map at the POI “Stronghold”. There is a vault, and each card opens a specific safe.
How do I get the card? This card can be easily grabbed if no other team is going to the map with you. You can get it in almost every match and start with a huge advantage.
Land at the marked house on the map below and go through the window on the west side.
Run through the open bunker door down the stairs, and the card is lying on a desk. However, Vikhor’s card disappears quickly after the match starts – you cannot retrieve the card during the round.
By the way, there is always a certain weapon blueprint for the Milano SMG on the table in front of the card. If you haven’t gotten it yet, pick up the weapon.
With the card, go to the Stronghold POI and collect your bonuses:
Rewards
Loadout Drop
Cash
Forgotten Card: The Ultimate Buff for the Team
How do I get the card? This card carries the greatest risk but also brings the best rewards.
Land at the northernmost house on Rebirth Island on the north side and jump through the window. Go straight through the room and down the stairs into the basement.
Here you will find a shower room, and you can interact with one of the showers. A few dollars drip out, and at the end is the key card. However, this takes a while.
It goes faster if you activate the shower during the “warm-up” before the match when you have the chance. Then the card is right there.
To bring the card to the Stronghold on the other side of the map, it’s best to find a helicopter when it fits. Strong bonuses await you in the vault:
Rewards
Specialist Token for the whole team
Loadout Drop
Cash
Perseus Card: Not a Bomb, but Still Good
How do I get the card? Land at the house south of the tanker in the southeast of the map. The card is clearly visible on a shelf in the ground floor.
The card is easy to get and is also not far from the Stronghold. Vikhor’s card is better suited for the start of the match. Maybe get the Perseus card later in a round if you need cash.
A drone is also included:
Rewards
Improved Recon Drone
Cash
If you want to see the processes for collecting the card in a video, check out the English YouTuber “Geeky Pastimes” (via youtube.com).
The Easter egg hunter loves to solve the puzzles of Warzone and always discovers fascinating secrets and hints.
Rebirth Island has developed into a community favorite since release and received a facelift with Season 2 of Warzone.
This brought many new secrets into the game, and some of them will only gradually be uncovered. An exciting side aspect in an otherwise straightforward shooter like Call of Duty.
The map is especially recommended for beginners because you encounter enemies much more often here and the modes often promise a revival.
In Elden Ring there are many enemies and bosses. Since the game world is merciless and mysterious, it does not show anywhere what your enemies are resistant to. Therefore, we will demonstrate to you, based on enemy types, how to deal the greatest damage to your foes in order to exploit their weaknesses.
What weaknesses exist for enemies? Since Elden Ring is vast and your foes appear in a variety of variations, you have different ways to damage them. Enemies can therefore suffer significant damage from the following factors:
By damage types
Slash – Inflicted by swords, katanas, and other bladed weapons
Stab – Stabs inflicted by weapons such as rapiers or spears
Blunt – Blunt strikes from hammers or maces
By elements
Fire – Ignites oil and sets enemies on fire
Lightning – Damage that spreads in enemies in water
Magic – Damage from magical sources
Holy – Blessed damage that prevents undead enemies from resurrecting
By status effects
Sleep – Causes enemies to tire or fall completely asleep
Frost – Causes enemies to freeze and reduces a portion of their HP. Frozen enemies take more damage.
Poison – Poisoned enemies take damage over time
Scarlet Rot – Infected enemies take significant damage over time
Madness – Inflicts light damage until madness occurs. Enemies succumbing to madness take large damage and become stuck in an animation for seconds.
Deathblight – When deathblight occurs, your enemy dies instantly
Many of these are useful, while others are completely useless against certain enemies. Not every foe is weak against the same element. Therefore, we will show you the weaknesses of various enemy groups so you can prepare accordingly for each situation.
[toc]
Every enemy type has one or more weaknesses
What enemy types are there? To understand which element or damage type to use against which enemy, we have categorized all foes into groups.
Humanoid
Undead
Dragons
Stone enemies
Animals
Abominations
Plants
We will go into detail about each group and show you which effects they weaken and which type of attack you should use best.
Humanoid – Enemies of human stature
A cursed enemy
Which enemies fall under this? Humanoid enemies are foes that appear and behave like humans. However, their stature and physique may vary. This includes giants, trolls, as well as foot soldiers and knights. The more armor the enemies carry, the more their resistances resemble those of stone opponents.
What are their weaknesses? Humanoid enemies are particularly vulnerable to bleeding damage. Their soft skin and unprotected bodies offer little to no defense against slash and stab damage. In addition, many enemies of this class can be afflicted with sleep, poison, scarlet rot, and frost.
Fire and lightning damage are semi-optimal, as knights usually inflict lightning damage themselves or bosses like the fire giant wield flames. Magic can be used as an alternative.
Undead – Beings that no longer dwell among the living
An unresting skeleton
Which enemies fall under this? Undead are, as the name suggests, not living beings. This includes skeletons, ghosts, and decayed zombies.
What are their weaknesses? Since undead are not very robust and do not suffer bleeding damage, you should use weapons with blunt damage. Greatswords or great hammers ensure that skeletons have no chance to attack.
To stop their annoying resurrections, you should buff your weapon with holy damage. This provides extra damage and ensures that your first death is also their last.
Dragons – Flying beasts that can breathe fire and throw lightning
Dragons remain one of the most dangerous enemies
Which enemies fall under this? All dragons that have wings and can fly. Some are special and can even throw lightning or have two heads. Additionally, there are also elemental dragons that can breathe magic or even scarlet rot.
What are their weaknesses? All dragons are weak against bleeding damage. Additionally, it is beneficial to inflict stab or blunt damage, as this allows you to overcome the dragon’s tough scales. Lightning, fire, and magic are also worthwhile, but only if the dragon is not wielding them.
Stone enemies – Opponents that hardly budge
Annoying little pests that roam the catacombs – Wights
Which enemies fall under this? All enemies that consist of stone or similar structures. This includes the wights from the catacombs, as well as towering golems. However, heavily armored humanoid foes share many properties of stone enemies.
What are their weaknesses? You defeat stone enemies best with a blunt weapon such as great hammers or maces. This allows you to stagger your opponents and also provides good damage.
Avoid slash and stab weapons, as these literally bounce off the armor and inflict significantly less pain on your enemies. Magic and lightning are good elements against these annoying pests, but poison and fire should be avoided.
Animals – Usually peaceful beings that must be hunted
Rune bears are very dangerous
Which enemies fall under this? Every living being that is considered an animal. From goats and sheep, bats and wolves to the towering rune bears that tear you apart.
What are their weaknesses? Just like humanoid enemies, animals are vulnerable to slash and stab weapons. They have no chance against bleeding, and poison, rot, or frost can be effectively applied to them. As elements, depending on the animal, you should use either lightning, fire, or magic.
Abominations – Beings that possess an obscure form
A being beyond our imagination – Astel
Which enemies fall under this? This includes foes such as the falling star beasts, Astel, and death birds that have an unknown origin and whose appearance is undefinable.
What are their weaknesses? For such beings, only physical attacks such as stab, slash, or blunt are effective. Elements like fire, lightning, magic, or holy damage are ineffective and should only be used rarely.
However, for both the falling star beasts and Astel, it is advisable to use the meteor sword, as they have a weakness against it. Status effects such as poison or rot are also ineffective against these soulless shells and should be reserved.
Plants – Living green stuff
These plants are not only annoying, but they can also take a lot
Which enemies fall under this? All green plants that want to get you. There are wandering flowers that can summon light bursts or dust you with poison pollen. These plants come in several variations.
What are their weaknesses? Since this involves a plant, fire is the best element. Combined with slash damage, you can take away many hit points and prevent them from attacking. Bleeding and poison also work well, as does frost damage. However, avoid sleep.
An important feature to recognize resistances: Observe your enemies. They also use elements. Bosses like the fire giant are resistant to fire since they also want to damage you with fire.
Malenia, one of the hardest bosses, is drenched in rot in this case and thus very resistant to all poisons. So you can also see through your enemies in battle and know how to best destroy them.
This was our little guide to resistances of the respective enemy classes. Do you have any tips or tricks on how to eliminate specific enemies? Let us know in the comments how you have analyzed your foes!

Jens “Knossi” Knossalla watched a Twitch stream of his fellow streamer Maximilian “Trymacs” Stemmler reacting to the wild boxing match between himself and MckyTV. Knossi did not like one statement from his colleague at all.
This is the backstory: Trymacs and MckyTV faced off at the boxing event “The Great Fight Night”. The fight took place on the evening of April 2nd and became a major event.
A few days later, Trymacs watched the fight again with his viewers during a stream and analyzed it.
Knossi watched this analysis (via YouTube). He praised Trymacs, his family, and especially his father in the highest terms: “Cool guy, very, very nice people. The Trymacs family, man, the father – best friends with father Trymacs”
Knossalla gushed about how well he got along with the father. They were on the same wavelength, both laughing at each other’s jokes. Knossi loved both Trymacs’ father and brother – he was over the moon while reporting about the two in his stream. He was really excited about the video and felt positive.
Knossalla then lost it. He switched his chat to emote-only mode and began to scream: “Where does he look like me?”, and he continued: “I will talk to your father about this, Maximilian.”
He then immediately called Trymacs, who knew exactly what it was about and answered Knossi’s call: “Hey, what’s up, are you mad?”
Knossi demanded to speak to Stemmler’s father, with whom he was friends. He also asked where he looked like MckyTV after the punch. Trymacs just laughed and said that he definitely looked more like him after the punch than before. “You saw me, how I really look, how beautiful I am,” Knossi tried to instill in his colleague.
After the phone call, Knossalla still cheered for MckyTV, even though he knew that the match went to Trymacs. “For me, the fight is not over yet, now the fight is just starting – everything can change again!” shouted the streamer to his viewers.
Is there now beef between the two streamers? Of course not. Knossi himself decorated his YouTube video, which summarized the highlights of his stream, with ironic emojis and titled it “MOM he insulted ME! MESSAGE to TRYMACS!” Both took the situation more with humor and the conversation served simply as entertainment, as you know from Knossi.

Daniel “Keemstar” Keem is an important voice in gaming with 2.7 million followers on Twitter. He engages with the discussion about YouTuber IShowSpeed: He was banned from Valorant for vile sexist and racist insults. For Keemstar, such outbursts aren’t real, as video games aren’t real either. That’s just trash talk, it comes with the territory.
This is the situation:
E-sport journalist Jake Luckey shared a clip from Valorant in which YouTuber IShowSpeed (19) had an outburst and insulted a female player in the worst sexist manner. He yelled at her to get out of the game and do the dishes for her husband.
Riot subsequently banned the YouTuber from all games. A representative from YouTube Gaming stated they are looking closer into the case. The career end of the very successful YouTube star is at stake. The YouTuber himself admitted that his behavior in the clip was wrong. But he is very young and still developing.
A controversy has now erupted surrounding this incident. Influential content creator Keemstar has intervened: He believes the action against IShowSpeed is racially motivated and defends the black content creator. It’s just trash talk, after all.
This isn’t real – just like the guns in video games
This is what Keemstar says: In a video comment on Twitter, Keemstar defends the young IShowSpeed (via twitter):
What is going on in the world we live in? You have this e-sports reporter who is attacking Speed for trash talk in a game. First of all: The boy is a kid! And what is being said is simply not real. These are not real statements. This is trash talk in a video game. If they were to stand face to face in real life, they would never say such things to each other. […]
Things said in a fantasy video game are simply not real. You know what else isn’t real? The guns! The guns in the game are not real weapons.
KeemStar
Keemstar sees a racial motivation behind the discussion about IShowSpeed. The white e-sports journalist attacked the biggest black streamer on YouTube Gaming while downplaying the misbehavior of other white influencers in the past.

Discussion about whether one can change or always remains the same
What is the reaction to this? The biggest streamer on Twitch, xQc, is known for his outbursts and sexist comments towards women. He is also a well-known trash talker. He responded directly to Keemstar.
xQc says that such sexist remarks are “not trash talk at all.” And it is quite audacious to play the racism card while simply overlooking sexism.
Keemstar is just trying to attract attention by catering to hate against women.
xQc responds: That’s a great example. These old stories show (via twitter):
some people, like xQc himself, can change radically in 3, 4 years. They can get better
other people, like Keemstar, wouldn’t change a bit even in 10, 15 years.
xQc was known for sexist remarks in the past. He says: His example shows how true change is possible.
Are there other perspectives?? Yes, the well-known MMORPG streamer Amsongold addresses the ban of IShowSpeed. He believes it is not a solution to simply ban people who misbehave, just to show that there are consequences for misconduct. That helps no one.
It would be better if people acknowledged their mistakes, promised to change, and actually followed through. People should also realize what nonsense they themselves did when they were 17 or 19 – depending on what age one estimates IShowSpeed to be.

Who is Keemstar and what role does he play? Keemstar came to prominence in 2009 when he demonstrated horrible trash talk in a YouTube video, earning a reputation as a “trash talker.”
The 40-year-old Keemstar is now a podcaster, streamer, and YouTuber. He is known for addressing controversial topics, taking contrarian positions, and generating a lot of attention.
With his show “DramaAlert,” he is simultaneously active in a journalistic role: He “comments on drama,” while also stirring up those very topics he reports on with harsh comments. Thus, he has a very controversial role in the influencer scene.
Since most influencers are in their 20s, while he himself is already 40, Keemstar constantly hears from younger people that he is becoming “old and irrelevant” and that he should behave more appropriately for his age.
Keemstar has become the figure on Twitter who people reach out to when they catch any kind of “villain” doing something wrong. They hope that Keemstar will then expose them on his internet gallows.
Keemstar was involved in an ugly campaign against Twitch streamer Pokimane.
Can you make a great gaming mouse even better? A user tried it, and the result is almost too good. A clip from Overwatch is causing a stir.
How can you make one of the best gaming mice in the world even better? A user probably thought the same. A tinkerer modified the G502 Hero, which according to Logitech is the most popular gaming mouse in the world, with LEGO (via logitech.com).
The result is quite impressive. The effort is minimal, but the result is significantly better. Even though some may wonder if such a lifehack isn’t cheating.
User combines LEGO motor with Logitech’s G502 Hero
This is what the user did: The user explained in a Twitter post that he attached a small motor to the scroll wheel of the G502 Hero made of LEGO. He takes advantage of a feature of the G520 Hero: With the G502 Hero, you can choose between a notched and a free-spinning scroll wheel. Nowadays, Razer even includes a free-spinning scroll wheel in its new mouse, because everyone loves this scroll wheel.
To control the motor better, he attached the construction to a glove that he can put on and take off at will. You can see the result on Twitter:

What exactly does it bring? In his test with the motor, he plays Mercy. She’s a supporter from the shooter Overwatch by Blizzard.
The tinkerer has bound both her healing and damage-boosting abilities to the scroll wheel. The motor now continuously spins the free-spinning scroll wheel, rapidly switching between attack and healing boosts so that the supported target receives both buffs.

The clip left some users speechless: You can’t normally play Mercy like that.
What are the reactions? People are both surprised and stunned. One person writes on Twitter in a comment that it is “absolutely incredible” what he has done with his mouse. Others are not so sure whether what the user did with his mouse can really be legal.
The G502 Hero is one of the best-selling mice in the world
What makes the G502 Hero so popular? On Amazon, the G502 Hero is an absolute bestseller and regularly ranks among the best-selling gaming mice. Logitech’s G502 Hero has the advantage of being a strong all-rounder: The mouse is not tied to any specific game or genre but offers many buttons, providing a lot of options when you want to customize it to your gaming style:
If you are currently playing a shooter, you can remove the weights from the mouse and configure the sniper button or assign gadgets or your secondary weapon to the additional buttons.
If you prefer playing an MMORPG, you can assign important spells or abilities to the buttons on the mouse.
Currently, thanks to Easter offers on Amazon, you can get the mouse at a really good price. If you are interested in the G502 Hero, you can get the gaming mouse for only 36 Euros:

It’s not the first time a user has modified Logitech’s G502 Hero or given it a completely different appearance. A user had turned the G502 Hero into a bow that you can actually play with. You can read the story about the bow-mouse and how it works on MeinMMO:
Since January 2022, the servers of all Dark Souls games on Steam have been offline. The cause was several severe exploits discovered and partially exploited by hackers. Now there has been a change on the Steam page, and fans are concerned: Will the servers remain permanently offline?
Publisher Bandai Namco and developer FromSoftware reacted by taking the Steam servers completely offline. It was said that they wanted to solve the problem and bring the servers back online.
At the time, criticism arose regarding the fact that the exploits had already existed for years and that action was only taken when they were publicly released by hackers. Some hackers had even tried to warn the developers repeatedly.
The servers of the Dark Souls games remain offline. And now, the multiplayer tag and any mention of multiplayer have even been removed from Steam for the affected games.
The exact reason is currently unknown. But after 2 months of silence and the “stealth” change, fans are now worried whether the servers will ever be back online.
Here the multiplayer tag is now missing. (via Steam)
Will Dark Souls remain offline? Players worried, but some reassure
This is how players are reacting to the step: After no news regarding Dark Souls has surfaced in recent months, there have already been some speculations and discussions. Especially in various subreddits, there are some players who are concerned.
Many are worried after the latest change on the Steam page that the multiplayer might not return and that the Dark Souls games will remain offline.
Some speculate that the issue has already been resolved and that the servers are intentionally kept offline so that people can play the multiplayer of Elden Ring.
Others believe that FromSoftware is primarily focused on their latest open-world game and Dark Souls has to wait for now.
However, there is an explanation that puts the latest step and the removal of multiplayer references in a different light: “False advertisement” or false promises.
Because after two months of missing multiplayer, it is quite possible that Bandai Namco or FromSoftware had this description removed to avoid misunderstandings.
Until then, it could have theoretically happened that new players wanted to purchase one of the Dark Souls installments just because of the multiplayer. If a new player only finds the offline mode, they could feel misled.
Therefore, most players consider it more likely that this is a precautionary measure rather than a hint at the demise of Dark Souls multiplayer.
Nonetheless, there is general criticism of the actions of Bandai Namco and FromSoftware.
“At this point, I just want something other than silence.”
This is the criticism: Aside from various speculations, it is about the communication from the publisher and developer. Since the step in January, which took the servers offline, there has been virtually no word on the subject.
This bothers many players like XBamfo: “At this point, I just want something other than silence. Is anything being worked on? Is a fix planned? Has Fromsoft just disappeared and not cared? It’s ridiculous that they are completely silent on this.”
Most assume after the step that we will not hear anything from the PC servers for a while.
Many are disappointed about this. They prefer the multiplayer over that of Elden Ring and would like to return.
Until there is new information, it may actually take a while. FromSoftware took the servers offline in January. If a quick return were in sight, they would not have adjusted the Steam page.
Which of the various reasons currently speculated to be the actual cause is uncertain.
But after the huge success of Elden Ring and the necessary support for the game, it is quite possible that the developers are currently busy elsewhere.
In Lost Ark you can buy many items with gold in the auction house. To prevent prices from skyrocketing, the currency Pheons was introduced. We from MeinMMO reveal how it works and why it’s so important.
Recently, a thread appeared on the Lost Ark subreddit that discusses market regulation in the game. Reddit user korean1351 explains the real money currency Pheon and its impact on gold prices. This thread is being discussed controversially.
What are Pheons? Pheons are quite unique among the many currencies of Lost Ark. They only come into play when you buy items from other players for gold in the auction house. For each transaction, you have to pay exactly 25 Pheons – regardless of how much gold you spend.
You can obtain Pheons in the cash shop using royal or blue crystals. Additionally, you can receive them at events or as a login reward.
How do F2P players benefit from this? Pheons act as a kind of tax imposed on each transaction between players. This leads to players being able to make only a very limited number of gold purchases in the auction house.
As a result of these limited activities in the auction house, interest in selling items for only a slight profit decreases, which keeps prices overall lower. The risk of losing Pheons is greater than the profit that could be made in gold.
The reddit user also draws on his experience in Korea. There, the prices for equipment skyrocketed for a while until Pheons were introduced last year.

The 5 Reasons for the Incredible Success of Lost Ark
What the community says
What the community says: Opinions on Reddit about the topic are highly divided. Some support the system, while others only complain about Amazon and Smilegate.
DarkSkyKnight: “This subreddit is economically completely incompetent, but I really appreciate this understandable explanation.”
Jus2mint: “I feel the same way. The supply of accessories and ability stones is determined by the game. Excessive demand would mean price increases. Pheon reduces unnecessary demand and thus stabilizes the price of accessories and stones. Since Pheon was introduced, it’s also possible for F2P players with less gold to access the market.”
Is Lost Ark Pay2Win? Many players claim so. However, this mechanism is seen as evidence to the contrary, as players benefit even if they do not spend real money. Pheons must be purchased with real money, while gold can be farmed. This initially makes Pheons more valuable, which is why F2P players want to save them and thus spend less gold.
Since there are only a few Pheons available to the general public, it is not worth artificially creating demand by buying up good equipment. The risk of being left with unsold items and making a loss is too great.
While those who invest a lot of money can gain some advantages in Lost Ark, they cannot manipulate the market. The Pheon system stands in the way and gives F2P players a chance.
What do you think? Does the system work as it should and actually prevent gold prices from skyrocketing? Have you invested real money in Lost Ark? If so, how much? Do you generally consider the game to be Pay2Win or are you satisfied free-to-play players? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments here on MeinMMO!
What exactly is in the shop, we have summarized here:
The MMORPGs RuneScape and Old School RuneScape are free-to-play but share a subscription for endgame content. Until now, the cost was €9.49 per month. Starting in May 2022, this and the costs for shop items and Runecoins will be increased. The community is upset, mainly due to the successes and ongoing issues with the games. They see no justification for the price increase.
What exactly changes with the subscription? From May 4th, the prices for RuneScape will increase in all currencies, although not uniformly. According to the developers, this must be done to offset higher development costs and inflation.
Players paying in euros are particularly affected. Prices there will increase by an average of 21.56%. In US dollars, prices will only increase by an average of 10.77%.
Notably, the developers have completely removed the subscription for three consecutive months. However, they did not provide a reason for this.
The increases will initially only apply to new subscriptions. Those who continue with their subscription are not affected for the time being. It’s also important to note that the regular 12-month subscription previously cost €79.99, but between November and March, there was always the Premier Club, which only cost €64.99 for 12 months. This price will now be adjusted to €69.99 for the entire year.
How is the increase received? Not well. However, players do not criticize the price adjustments themselves, as they would be completely understandable under different circumstances.
The price increase comes at a time when the developer studio Jagex is celebrating record player numbers and revenues. As reported in 2019, RuneScape had its most successful year since 2001. Since then, things have been going even better.
There is also criticism for the lack of player support, an increase in bots, and allegedly poor employee pay. These issues should be addressed first before players are expected to pay more.

These are currently the 7 most popular MMORPGs 2022
RuneScape celebrates great success with mobile and Steam release
In early 2022, the financial report for the year 2020 was released. Revenues in RuneScape grew by 18%, while in Old School RuneScape they grew by 6% (via Jagex financial report ).
Revenues were €130 million in 2019 and €144 million in 2020
The pure profit after tax, operating costs, and so on was €52 million in 2019 and €42 million in 2020
What is the problem? These profits should be used, as the community wishes, to improve the two MMORPGs. However, Jagex belongs to another company that takes a share of the revenues.
This company withdrew a total of €109 million in 2019 and 2020. More than the actual profits allowed.
This leads to a standstill in the development of the two MMORPGs. Fans are upset because they fear that the additional revenues from subscription fees will not flow into the further development of the games, but directly into the pockets of the investors.
The user esporx wrote a long post about this (via reddit). He emphasizes that the problem is not the developers and community managers, but those at the top who are letting the game deteriorate. Generally, the topic of price increases is currently dominating the subreddits of both MMORPGs.
Price increase would be acceptable if the value is right
What are the problems with RuneScape? According to the reddit user TTGunlimited, there are some issues that Jagex needs to address for the game to be worth the price increase (via reddit):
The customer support is said to be poor. Those who lose access to their account or are wrongly banned are said to have only a very small chance of ever getting their account back.
The chat is said to be crawling with scams, bots, and gold sellers.
Account security is a problem because you cannot use capital letters and symbols in passwords.
Employee pay is said to be poor, also because the studio itself is located in one of the most expensive environments in the UK.
So far, Jagex has not commented on these allegations.
How do you see the price increase for RuneScape? Do you think the costs are too high, or are some players exaggerating their concerns?
In WoW, there was also a big discussion about subscription fees in early 2021. At that time, the options for Game Time Cards for 30, 90, and 180 days were removed:
Ghost Recon Breakpoint is no longer receiving updates, meaning the game is basically at an end. However, in December, developer Ubisoft introduced NFTs into the game – unique digital items. How Ubisoft’s NFT system works and what happens to the items now can be found on MeinMMO.
The tactical shooter failed to meet expectations at Ubisoft from the start. The developers explained that the imminent release and the few changes from the predecessor Wildlands were the main reasons for the flop.
After 2.5 years, it is now over – the servers remain online, but there are no new updates. In December, however, they introduced NFTs into the game. These are unique digital items, referred to as “Digits” by Ubisoft.
The first items were free for Breakpoint players and can even be used in the game. The second wave of items was then sold by Ubisoft like microtransactions.
Due to their connection to a blockchain, the items are now tradable.
Breakpoint was apparently seen by Ubisoft as a good opportunity to test their Digits platform called “Quartz”. We explain what it’s all about (via quartz.ubisoft.com).
6 of the total 7 available Digits from Breakpoint.
In-game items become tradable objects
How do NFTs from Breakpoint work? Through the connection of the Ubisoft account with the Quartz platform, you can access the items. In-game requirements had to be met for this.
For some, it was sufficient to reach level 5 in the game. For a specific pair of pants, 100 gameplay hours were required, and for a helmet, even 600 gameplay hours.
The first wave of items was free. Later items were sold relatively expensively and often ended up on trading platforms for around €20 each.
Ubisoft plans to make the items available in other titles later. However, there is no announcement yet on how that will happen.
Due to their structure as NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens), the items are “unique”. There is only a limited quantity of the items, and the NFT contains information about the current and previous owner, the serial number, and the Ubisoft names of the players who created the NFT.
The NFTs from Ubisoft run on the “Tezos” blockchain – a “Proof of Stake” blockchain. Unlike the Ethereum or Bitcoin blockchains, there are fewer energy-consuming processes to conduct transactions here.
After receiving the items in the game, it was possible to offer the digital goods on 2 selected trading platforms that work with “Tezos”.
This allowed you to upgrade the received Digit to a tradable NFT, and if desired, the items can be sold via the two platforms.
Sales of Ubisoft NFTs are rare, but often over €100
How expensive are the NFTs? At the time of the article, one “Tezos” was worth €3.14 (via coinbase.com). Many offers of Ubisoft NFTs are set to “Offer”. You can make offers, and the creator can decide whether to accept the offer.
Recently, a Breakpoint NFT was sold for 85 Tezos, a bit more than €260. The highest transaction value on the platform “Rarible” was a sale for 120 Tezos, a bit more than €370 (via rarible.com).
Many transactions have a value over €100; some go for only €10 or €20.
What happens to the NFTs if the game goes offline? As the owner of the NFT, the token remains with the buyer even after the game ends. In the case of an NFT racing game, the developers offered to exchange the purchased NFTs for other values.
In the case of Ubisoft-Quartz Digits, the developers want to make the unique items available in other games as well.
Even after the end, Breakpoint NFTs continue to be sold
Why do the NFTs still have value? Much of the value creation topic is based on the value that buyers, users, or collectors assign to something.
There is a certain trust that these things will not lose value and ideally even increase in value. Money, for example.
Behind the Euro is the European Central Bank, which is supported by the states participating in the Euro. Banknotes, checking account balances, and even the larger coins – all just symbols conveying a value that they physically do not actually have.
But there is trust that you get something for your money, so it is also worth something.
With Ubisoft NFTs, the “Tezos” blockchain serves as the central bank, and Ubisoft itself would be the state backing the trust. As long as the trust in the publisher remains, the NFTs remain valuable.
It is possible that the NFTs could still be used in games in 10 years – a practical value based on trust.
Since these were Ubisoft’s first NFTs, a collector’s value could also arise – an abstract value based on speculation.
In the end, there could also be a complete loss of value. However, no trend can yet be observed with the Ubisoft NFTs.
NFTs remain extremely controversial in gaming, which is certainly justified. The proximity to highly speculative cryptocurrencies makes it hard to predict which direction it all will take.
Breakpoint is a pilot project, and if Ubisoft wants to continue pursuing its Quartz platform, it will need to keep a close eye on current developments and public opinion.
We also want to know what you think about NFTs in gaming. Do you think these items will gain value? Do you think such tradable items have no future in games? Feel free to leave a comment on the topic.

In Pokémon GO, trainers are reporting that the free daily box can get better. I had to try this “trick” for myself and found out: It really works. I will show you how my box improved and what I did.
What kind of trick is this? A few weeks ago, trainers first reported about the phenomenon of the free box that suddenly becomes “better”. This box is a package in the shop that every trainer can pick up for free once a day. The contents vary depending on the trainer.
Usually, it contains a few Poké Balls, berries, and weak potions. But if you wait, the contents can turn for the better.
My box got better – and it was really easy
This is what it’s about: I have seen from various trainers in the last few days that their boxes changed from “mediocre” contents to quite strong variants. The trick was likely unavailable since the first discovery and is now back. For example, trainer kpopthrowaway101 showed on April 6 on reddit that in his free box, there were 2x Fast TMs, 1 Super Incubator, 1 Snorlax, and 3 Lucky Eggs. I had to try it!
How does it work? Well, the trick seems quite simple. You check your free box in the morning, remember what was inside (or just take a screenshot), and then check back in a few hours later. For some trainers, the contents change throughout the day. The exact number of hours is unclear.
This is how it worked for me: On April 7, I checked my “Daily Free Box” in the Pokémon GO shop at 07:17 AM. I found 2 Raspberry and 2 Poké Balls inside. I did not redeem the contents, but simply closed the overview of the box.
In the evening at 10:07 PM, I checked the box again. The contents had changed. Instead of a total of 4 items, there were now 14 items.
Before:
2 Raspberries
2 Poké Balls
After:
4 Ultra Balls
5 Great Balls
2 Potions
3 Nanab Berries
I know that this isn’t the strong yield that other trainers rave about. I did not get any Fast TMs, Lucky Eggs, Sinnoh Stones, or Rare Candy in the package. But the contents changed, and that shows me that it can happen to any trainer.
How can you try this? Currently, there is no guaranteed way to reliably alter the box. A few trainers on reddit report that it has worked for them for three consecutive days now.
So, check your free box once in the morning, but do not redeem the items from it. Then come back to the game a few hours later and check if the contents have changed. If yes, redeem them or wait even longer. For some trainers, 11 PM is the ideal time to get good items. But this is just an assumption.
Have you already tried the “trick”, and did your boxes change? What items did you get by waiting? Or are you not interested in the free boxes in Pokémon GO at all and you already have enough of all items?
Let us know your opinion here on MeinMMO in the comments and exchange ideas with other trainers about the package contents.

Do you want the perfect perk combination for every killer in Dead by Daylight? That’s exactly what we have here – this will really heat things up for the survivors.
The asymmetrical horror game Dead by Daylight has grown larger and more complex over the years. There are now 27 killers and hundreds of perks for players to choose from. In addition to the list of the 10 best perks for all killers, we want to present another list: The 4 perks that work best for each killer individually. We will explain why exactly these 4 perks are particularly effective for every killer and what advantages they bring to gameplay.
The selected perks are largely based on current matches of professionals. This includes streamers like “not Otzdarva” or “Monto”, who are among the very best players in the game.
[toc]
The best perk setups for all 27 killers
Update: The list is current as of patch 5.6.2 – the “Sadako Rising” chapter, on April 8, 2022.
Please note that the perks are generally only recommendations. All killers can be played in different ways and various players rely on different strategies. The perk combinations presented here have proven to be very effective as of patch 5.6.1.
The tips mentioned here are mainly suitable for advanced players and professionals. If you are new and looking for generally strong perks to get started, you can find them in our article on the 10 best killer perks.
The Trapper can work effectively on most maps even without addons, especially in grass, where his traps are extremely effective. However, there are maps without good hiding spots for traps, which is where perks come into play. The mentioned perks help find survivors early, as they spread across a smaller portion of the map, and prolong the match. At the same time, with Starstruck, you can eliminate multiple survivors in succession or make it more difficult for survivors to save their teammates.
The best perks for the Wraith
Hex: Ruin
Surge
A Nurse’s Call
Barbecue & Chili
The Wraith is strongest when played with a “Hit & Run” strategy, and these perks help significantly. Hex: Ruin ensures that generators are reset when you scare survivors away from them. Surge helps deal damage to multiple generators and creates heavy skill checks that expose survivors nearby. Since the Wraith is completely invisible at over 20 meters, “A Nurse’s Calling” helps find healing survivors before they can notice the killer. Lastly, Barbecue and Chili help locate survivors and determine whether others are nearby or far away.
The best perks for the Hillbilly
Hex: Ruin
Pop Goes the Weasel
Barbecue & Chili
Bamboozle
The Hillbilly benefits from his high speed. He can travel quickly across the entire map and take down survivors with a single blow if he gets the chance. His weakness lies in windows that hinder the use of the chainsaw. This is mitigated by Bamboozle, which specifically blocks windows. Ruin helps slow down the game and is replaced by Pop Goes The Weasel should the totem be destroyed. Barbecue & Chili, on the other hand, helps quickly find the next victim after hanging a survivor.
The best perks for the Nurse
Corrupt Intervention
Thrilling Tremors
Pop Goes the Weasel
Starstruck
The Nurse is hardly dependent on perks, as almost her entire potential lies in her ability. Anyone who masters her can probably survive even without perks. Corrupt Intervention helps find survivors faster at the beginning, and Thrilling Tremors reveals immediately where more survivors are after the first pickup. The corresponding generator can then be reset significantly with Pop Goes the Weasel. Starstruck fits into this combo and should be used aggressively. After bringing a survivor down, take them towards the generator that is being repaired to hang them. This will likely affect the other survivors with Starstruck, making them vulnerable. This can lead to devastating chain reactions.
The best perks for the Huntress
Corrupt Intervention
Pop Goes the Weasel
Barbecue & Chili
Bitter Murmur
Good perks for the Huntress are difficult to find. Like almost all killers, Corrupt Intervention helps find survivors early, and Pop Goes the Weasel helps prolong the game. Barbecue & Chili reveals where survivors are located and can be used to throw axes over long distances, landing a few targeted hits. Bitter Murmur serves as an additional info perk whenever a generator is repaired and can also be used to practice throwing axes at long range, achieving successes.
The best perks for the Shape
Corrupt Intervention
Hex: Ruin
Hex: Undying
Hex: Retribution
Michael Myers primarily benefits from his ability, but he must first come out of Tier I to reach Tier II and then Tier III. To expedite this process, Corrupt Intervention helps drive survivors close to him. The Hex perks serve multiple purposes. Ruin helps reset the generators when Michael chases the survivors with Tier III of his ability. If survivors then start cleansing the totems, Michael sees the aura of the survivors every time to quickly go from Tier II to Tier III and create a chain reaction. Additionally, the entire process of searching for totems takes a lot of time, further prolonging the match.
The best perks for the Hag
Whispers
Agitation
Starstruck
Hex: Ruin
As the Hag, it is essential to set up a network of traps early to cover a large area of the map and be able to teleport quickly. Once that is done, Whispers helps find survivors. Thanks to Agitation, you can carry survivors further and even chase other survivors who will go down immediately with Starstruck. Hex: Ruin, as always, helps prolong the match and reset generators faster, giving you more time to catch the survivors.
Are you a survivor? Then these articles here could also be interesting:
This combination of perks enhances the Doctor’s power and makes him extremely annoying for survivors. Distressing increases the size of the terror radius and thus the range of his secondary ability. Unnerving Presence makes skill checks harder within the terror radius, while Overcharge triggers especially difficult skill checks at damaged generators. Since the Doctor already turns skill checks into complete chaos with his power, survivors will frequently betray their position as long as you are near them. Brutal Strength helps quickly clear pallets and damage generators faster – something you should do regularly.
The best perks for the Cannibal
Hex: Ruin
Hex: Undying
Discordance
Tinkerer
The Cannibal benefits from his chainsaw, especially when he has multiple survivors in front of him. Discordance helps identify generators being repaired by multiple survivors simultaneously. Tinkerer suppresses the terror radius when a generator is close to completion and can help achieve successful stealth kills where multiple survivors go down. Hex: Ruin and Hex: Undying once again help to prolong matches and reset generators to take advantage of Tinkerer multiple times without having to break the chase.
The best perks for the Nightmare
Corrupt Intervention
Hex: Ruin
Pop Goes the Weasel
Tinkerer
The Nightmare relies on his ability to teleport to generators and set traps. Like most killers, he benefits greatly from prolonging the match, where Hex: Ruin comes into play. Corrupt Intervention helps put the first survivors to sleep early. Tinkerer rarely helps with stealth attacks, as the Nightmare has a unique lullaby radius, but it serves as an indicator of which generator to teleport to immediately to interrupt progress. If Hex: Ruin fails, Pop Goes the Weasel helps quickly weaken generators by many percentage points.
The best perks for the Pig
Hex: Ruin
Hex: Devour Hope
Hex: Undying
Hex: Thrill of the Hunt
The Pig is a master at giving survivors additional tasks that eat up their time. With these 4 Hex perks, this is taken to the extreme. Survivors must cleanse all totems to get rid of all effects. Hex: Thrill of the Hunt always reveals when they are working on a totem, while Hex: Devour Hope makes you increasingly deadly and Hex: Ruin steals the time from opponents. Even if the totems are cleansed relatively quickly, there should be enough time for you to already inflict significant damage on the survivors’ team.
The best perks for the Clown
Hex: Devour Hope
Hex: Ruin
Hex: Undying
Surge
The Clown also relies on many Hex perks that buy him time to become even deadlier. The Clown is particularly dangerous when he can down survivors with a single blow – this is achieved through Hex: Devour Hope, which is enhanced by Hex: Undying. Hex: Ruin helps further reset generators, while Surge acts as an emergency perk and steals 8% of each generator in a 32-meter radius.
The best perks for the Spirit
Hex: Ruin
Hex: Undying
Surge
Surveillance
The Spirit is a devastating killer who only gets better with perks. Her only weakness is that games often end quickly before she can unleash her strengths. Hex: Ruin and Hex: Undying ensure that generators are reset, just as Surge does. Paired with Surveillance, you can immediately see which generators are being repaired, so you can appear at the generator with your ability and, with some luck, interrupt and catch a survivor directly at work.
The best perks for the Legion
Surge
Thrilling Tremors
Pop Goes the Weasel
Hex: Devour Hope
The Legion is particularly good at keeping all survivors in a constant state of injury, which means chases end relatively quickly. Therefore, this perk selection helps locate survivors (Thrilling Tremors), reduce progress (Surge and Pop Goes the Weasel), and increase the lethality of the Legion. Especially with 3 or more tokens on Hex: Devour Hope, the Legion becomes an unexpected, spontaneously deadly threat.
The best perks for the Plague
Discordance
Hex: Ruin
Hex: Undying
Hex: Retribution
The Plague is also a solid killer even without perks, capable of guaranteeing injuries with delays. With the ability to contaminate generators and objects, all survivors will inevitably be injured sooner or later. Discordance helps find as many survivors as possible at the start and infect them simultaneously. If you don’t catch the survivors, then infect the generator. Now the survivors have no real choice. If they leave the generator alone, it will be reset (by Hex: Ruin); if they work on it, they will become infected. This quickly leads to a chain reaction and many fountains that you can use if survivors try to heal their illness.
The best perks for Ghostface
Corrupt Intervention
Pop Goes the Weasel
Surge
A Nurse’s Calling
Ghostface is also inherently a solid killer if he can regularly stalk survivors to down them at the right moment with a single attack. Corrupt Intervention helps locate survivors early, while Pop Goes the Weasel and Surge help reset generators. A Nurse’s Calling is beneficial as Ghostface has no terror radius in stealth, allowing him to sneak up on survivors healing.
The best perks for the Demogorgon
Hex: Ruin
Hex: Undying
Save the Best for Last
Tinkerer
As with most killers, Hex: Ruin and Hex: Undying help to slow down the game. Save the Best for Last helps switch to the special attack quickly after a melee attack. Make sure to only hit the Obsession with the special attack to avoid losing tokens. Finally, Tinkerer ensures that you always know which generator is close to completion, allowing you to sneak up on it unnoticed. With good portal placement, you can do this very quickly.
The best perks for the Oni
Hex: Ruin
Pop Goes the Weasel
Discordance
Tinkerer
The Oni is a devastating killer with his power who relies on Hex: Ruin. Should Hex: Ruin be cleansed, the alternative is Pop Goes the Weasel. Discordance helps quickly identify which generators are being worked on by multiple survivors, and Tinkerer provides a stealth element that allows you to strike unexpectedly and possibly take out multiple survivors at the same time.
The best perks for the Deathslinger
Hex: Ruin
Surge
Agitation
Starstruck
To slow down the game, the Deathslinger also relies on Hex: Ruin and Surge.
The combination of Agitation and Starstruck allows you to down survivors while carrying another survivor – or shortly after. Thanks to his shot mechanic, he can also achieve high success at distances and deliver one-hits almost continuously. Moreover, you can carry survivors further to bring the deadly terror radius (from Starstruck) closer to the survivors.
The best perks for the Executioner
Hex: Ruin
Hex: Undying
Discordance
Tinkerer
Even the Executioner benefits from Hex: Ruin and Hex: Undying to prolong the game and reset generators. With Discordance, you can quickly determine which generator is being repaired by multiple survivors, and Tinkerer once again brings the stealth element back. Thanks to his ability, this can lead to multiple hits at once and quickly ensure a victory. Regularly use your cages, especially when all survivors are in one spot. They will then have to run all over the map to help their teammate and cannot block the hanging.
The best perks for the Blight
Hex: Ruin
Hex: Undying
Hex: Devour Hope
Hex: Haunted Grounds
The standard combo of Hex: Ruin and Hex: Undying is also used by the Blight, but is accompanied by even more Hex perks. The Blight benefits from his extremely high speed and can therefore take advantage of both Hex: Devour Hope and Hex: Haunted Grounds to down multiple survivors with a single blow. Even if these perks risk being disabled altogether, by that point significant damage has usually already been done.
The best perks for the Twins
Hex: Ruin
Hex: Undying
Discordance
Barbecue & Chili
The Twins do not benefit equally from all perks, as Victor is either unaffected by perks or only affected in exceptional cases. Therefore, a conservative setup of Hex: Ruin, Hex: Undying, and Discordance is also worthwhile for the Twins to quickly locate the majority of survivors and slow down their progress. Barbecue & Chili provides more visibility after hanging a survivor and helps clarify whether survivors are nearby or far away.
The best perks for the Trickster
Hex: Ruin
Hex: Undying
Corrupt Intervention
Tinkerer
The Trickster also benefits most from a standard build. However, this only works well if you can handle his power well and accurately land knife throws. Corrupt Intervention helps find survivors early, Hex: Ruin and Hex: Undying prolong the match, and Tinkerer helps once again to sneak up on the first hit “for free”.
The best perks for Nemesis
Barbecue & Chili
Pop Goes the Weasel
Save The Best for Last
Corrupt Intervention
Nemesis also benefits from a standard build but can particularly benefit from “Save the Best for Last”. Thanks to the tentacle strike, Nemesis can take down the obsession without ever using a melee attack. As a result, the perk never loses its stacks, and you can execute sneaky and quick hit combinations on the other survivors. First, give them a melee hit and then benefit from the reduced cooldown to follow up with a tentacle strike. “Corrupt Intervention” provides a smaller field and Pop Goes the Weasel extends the match.
The best perks for the Cenobite
Barbecue & Chili
Hoarder
Franklin’s Demise
Save The Best for Last
The Cenobite is the only killer so far who makes good use of the perk “Hoarder,” thanks to his base kit of abilities. Since the puzzle box counts as an item, the Cenobite is alerted as soon as a player picks up the box.
This allows the killer to head directly towards the survivor with the box before they begin solving it. This is particularly insidious when paired with “Franklin’s Demise.” If the survivor is hit by a melee attack, they immediately drop the puzzle box, and the Cenobite picks it up. This immediately triggers a chain hunt that reveals and massively hinders all survivors. “Barbecue & Chili” and “Save The Best for Last” are standard options that help quickly transition from one survivor to another and always be informed of everyone’s location.
The best perks for the Artist
Discordance
Hex: Ruin
Barbecue & Chili
No Way Out
The Artist benefits from delaying the game as much as possible. For that, “Hex: Ruin” combined with Discordance is optimal. Once she is informed that survivors are working in pairs at a generator, she can send her crows to interfere or wound the survivors at the generator. Once chased away, this generator will be automatically reset by “Hex: Ruin.” Barbecue & Chili creates a similar benefit, allowing her to attack the next survivor right after hanging.
Finally, “No Way Out” is another way to gain a good minute more of gameplay and hinder survivors from escaping. In 60 seconds, you can often take down 1-2 more survivors and eliminate them from the game.
The best perks for Onryō
Barbecue & Chili
Make Your Choice
Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance
Corrupt Intervention
Like many other killers with teleportation abilities, the Onryō benefits greatly from “Make Your Choice.” If someone is rescued from the hook, she can easily teleport to a nearby TV and hunt the rescuer. Corrupt Intervention and Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance both help slow the game down and drive survivors into the arms of the Onryō early on.

Finally reached the endgame, but what’s next? Quests, dungeons, upgrading gear, or maybe sailing? You definitely shouldn’t miss these activities in Lost Ark.
Update: We last updated the article on April 08. We added a link to the Mokoko map under point 4.
[toc]
1. Continue the story in North Vern
To progress in Lost Ark, you need to keep advancing the story. The first act leads you to Castle Vern and is the quickest way to reach level 50.
But that’s not where the story ends. After all, you have only found three Arks and brought them to Trixion. Four are still missing.
Here’s what’s next:
When you leave Vern, it gets icy. You sail north towards Shushire. The quests there take a total of about two to three hours, and you will receive the gear for item level 302 afterwards. Alternatively, you can, of course, upgrade your equipment in Castle Vern.
Next, the plan is to raise the item level to 460 and move to the western continent of Rohendel. There, too, you should continue with the quests. You can only start chaos dungeons in Rohendel once you have completed the quests.
With item level 600, you continue to Yorn. There, you raise your item level to 960.
For 960 to 1100, you sail further to Fayton.
The (for now) last continent is Punika. There, you will be at item level 1100 and above.

2. Complete squad quests
At level 50, you will receive numerous squad quests that you can and should complete. They provide experience for your entire squad, meaning the level for all your characters on the server. For each level, you unlock rewards in the squad menu (hotkey O).
The quests are marked in purple; some you need to accept from NPCs, but most appear on their own.
Among them are some that have [Advisor] before their names.
Then you just need to read a bit or have someone explain it to you and can directly try out what you learned.
To enter chaos dungeons or guardian raids, you need to first complete the corresponding squad quests.
Also, to use your two free power passes, you need to complete the corresponding squad quest once you reach level 50. It’s called “Ealyn’s Gift.” With the power pass, you can then boost two more characters in your squad directly to level 50.
The squad rewards improve your stats.
3. Choose engravings
Most classes in Lost Ark can choose from two class engravings. You decide on one of them and thereby select your playstyle for your character’s future.
For the Shadowhunter, for example, you decide whether you want to focus entirely on the demon mode or leave it out to perfect the normal attacks.
In addition to class engravings, there are combat engravings. These are identical for all classes.
To level your engravings, you use the class or combat engraving books that you have received throughout the game.
To bring an engraving to level 1, you must read 20 of the green books, then the blue and purple books. You can find out how this works in our engraving guide.
You can improve certain aspects with them but also degrade them. Therefore, in the endgame, it’s essential to choose the right ones for your character. Maxroll has build guides for every class, detailing the most sensible engraving combinations.
4. Complete adventure tomes
Press N to open your adventure tome. By completing the main quests, you will fill about 10-20% on each continent and receive some rewards, such as potions or collectible cards.
If you reach higher percentages, there are additional items to collect on the continent. For example, you may have missed a mount, rare cards, or decoration for your stronghold.
If you want to play Lost Ark with a focus on completion, you should take the time to revisit some maps.
Bosses, viewpoints, dungeons on both difficulty levels, triports, relationships, and collectibles should be completed to receive valuable rewards.
At 30% in North Vern, for example, you can find the Raptor.
All over Lost Ark, you will encounter NPCs with whom you can build relationships. At launch, there are more than 70 of them. Through gifts, emotes, quests, and songs, you gain reputation and will be rewarded by the NPCs in the end. However, you have a limited number of relationship actions available each day.
Additionally, you will surely still find a few Mokokos that you left behind during your first run. Papunika provides you with an interactive map to easily locate Mokokos, bosses, and hidden side quests.
As a final reward, for 100% of the adventure tome, you receive the Ignea mark of the continent. In capitals, you can exchange these marks for further rewards, such as a mount, a rune, or a skill potion.
5. Sailing
You receive your boat around level 40 to sail to the next continent. Along the way, you will pass many small islands where you can dock. By the endgame, you should visit these islands and complete the quests, as they provide upgrade materials, maps, and other useful rewards.
On each of the islands, you will experience unique little stories, some of which are very cute. For example, the Panda-Pupu Island is an absolute must.
On the Panda-Pupu Island, you become a panda yourself!
Additionally, from level 50, events will appear in the top left, as you can only visit some islands at specific times. For example, sometimes a little deathmatch takes place among all present players on Death Grip Island.
The islands are useful for quickly reaching a higher item level. You will reach 460 very quickly through island rewards.
Don’t forget to upgrade and regularly repair your ship.
6. Chaos dungeons and guardian raids
You can enter chaos dungeons and guardian raids as soon as you reach Castle Vern and complete the respective advisor quests. You start chaos dungeons at a statue in the north of the map, and guardian raids at the bulletin board behind it.
While you face many monsters in the chaos dungeon, in the guardian raid, you encounter a single strong boss. There are stronger bosses that you can select as opponents if you have a higher item level.
In the chaos dungeon, you can bring simple healing potions and use as many as you need. You can also die as often as you want. In the guardian raid, however, only combat potions are allowed. These are the ones that heal a specific percentage of HP. Additionally, only three deaths are allowed in your group overall.
You enter the fight with up to four players and can farm loot, especially upgrade material, twice a day. You can start chaos dungeons more often, but you will only receive perception fragments and crystals of disorder then. These can be traded with an NPC near the statue.
We recommend completing chaos dungeons and guardian raids daily. It’s worth it.
7. Abyss dungeons
In the endgame, there are 13 different abyss dungeons to complete, the first one with item level 340 and the last two with 1370. Each dungeon can be completed once per character per week.
You will be rewarded with gold, engraving manuals, and items that increase weapon and gear upgrade chances. The drops are great, but the dungeons are particularly challenging.
Just like chaos dungeons and guardian raids, you can start the abyss dungeons in the north of Castle Vern. Enter them with a group of four players.
As in guardian raids, you may only use combat potions in abyss dungeons and no simple healing potions.

8. The Tower
You tackle the tower alone in Lost Ark. At item level 302, you can enter and fight your way up level by level. You will either face multiple enemies or a boss.
With the higher levels, you need a higher item level:
Floor 1: Item level 302
Floor 5: Item level 340
Floor 10: Item level 380
Floor 15: Item level 400
Floor 20: Item level 420
Floor 25: Item level 440
Floor 30: Item level 460
Floor 35: Item level 480
Floor 40: Item level 500
Floor 45: Item level 520
Floor 50: Item level 540
As in guardian raids, you may not use normal healing potions, only the combat potions that heal a specific percentage of HP. Also, if you die, you must leave the tower.
If you leave the tower, whether through death or voluntarily, you will receive rewards for all completed levels. On the lower levels, for example, you will gather card packs.
9. Collect card decks
You receive collectible cards from the very beginning in Lost Ark, but they only become interesting in the endgame. You get them from quests, in the adventure tome, in combat, and through many other means.
You can equip up to six cards in your card deck. Certain combinations, i.e., complete decks, provide your character with bonuses. The effects are activated after two, three, four, and six set pieces.
Now you should decide or check online which deck is the most sensible for you. Then you can start collecting all the cards of that deck. Some, however, are very expensive.
You can also upgrade your card set and add a so-called awakening to it. For this, you need additional copies of the collectible card and generate card experience this way. For a maximum upgrade, you need to collect the card 15 times. If you want to read more about this, check out our guide to collectible cards.
There are over 500 different collectible cards in Lost Ark.
10. Expand housing further
Already at levels 26-28, you receive your own island, your stronghold, and thus unlock housing in Lost Ark.
In the lab, you research expansions and new recipes that you can then craft in the workshop. These include potions that you would otherwise have to buy in the auction house for gold. It’s worth using housing to save gold.
You can also send your sailors on expeditions from the island. They return with rewards, such as pirate coins.
Once you reach level 50 and use the power pass, additional characters in the stronghold can engage in what is known as “training.” This is a type of automatic leveling, so you don’t have to level every twink to the max level of 60 yourself. Leveling becomes very time-consuming after level 50.
Also interesting are the merchants that arrive on your island and stay for a few hours. They offer different items, such as sailors for your expeditions or new recipes. The merchants can be paid with seals you earned through NPC missions.
11. Unas Tasks
Unas Tasks are daily and weekly quests in Lost Ark that you unlock in Vern at level 50. You can complete three quests daily and weekly each. The reset for dailies is at 11:00 AM, and the weekly quests reset on Thursdays.
The quests vary greatly and can be chosen based on what you are already doing. This way you don’t have to put in much effort and can kill two birds with one stone. You can also complete Unas Tasks with multiple characters.
Unas Tasks include many different quests
12. Chaos Portals
Chaos portals are only available at certain times and will be displayed to you in the top left at events starting from level 50. The locations of the chaos portals are spread throughout Arkesia. Each portal opens once a week.
Together with about 30 players, you proceed through the portal and will be teleported to a map where you must search for and defeat one boss after another. Rewards include chaos fragments, the rune Rage, and treasure maps.
At the end, the boss drops a legendary treasure map, which is auctioned for gold among all participants.
13. Life Skills and World Tree Leaves
To craft the items for the endgame, you need materials. You obtain these through life skills, often referred to as professions in other games.
Life skills are the crafting abilities you learn at levels 24-26. These include mining, logging, hunting, gathering, fishing, and excavating.
The levels of the tools range from tier 1 to tier 5. You have probably already bought the green tier-1 tools from the merchant. Starting from tier 2, you need to craft them yourself.
Additionally, you receive so-called world tree leaves when performing crafting activities. You can exchange these with the NPC Chapman, and for every six leaves, you receive a reward. These include a crafting skill XP potion, a title, the ability to transform into a rabbit (Yes, really! You can choose whether blue or pink!), and other rewards.
With these 13 activities, you have plenty to do in the endgame. Which of them have you already tried, and what was new for you? Do you prefer going into dungeons and raids, or do you sail around relaxing and improving your life skills in the process? Feel free to let us know in the comments here on meinMMO!
At first, the mechanics, the multitude of attributes, and equipment may seem overwhelming, and it takes a long time to understand everything – paperwork and calculator included.
But whether you look for a build online or grab a pen and paper yourself: Prepare yourself for a long loot search.
There is a “Targeted Loot System” that allows you to farm specific equipment, but for each piece of equipment, there are so many variables that winning at bingo in your local community center seems like a given by comparison.
Quests and areas sometimes give you “Targeted Loot”.
Among these lucky strikes for your build, hundreds of other pieces fall into your inventory. Especially at the beginning of the endgame, when you’re not quite sure whether a piece is good or worthless junk, inventory management is a real turnoff.
You are constantly sorting, comparing values, filling the bank and are always accompanied by the creeping fear of having dismantled a good attribute combo.
You are shown whether a value is strong on a piece, but you have to pay attention to an abnormally high number of variables.
In the first few hours, this is fun because the complexity makes you want more, and you continuously increase your power so that enemies seem to melt away.
But after 100 hours, this becomes a tedious chore, as you cannot play with a full inventory, and eventually you will have to sort things out.
A longer fight fills up your inventory quite a bit.
In addition, there is a pretty strict meta in the endgame. There are actually 3 types of attributes: Damage, Skill, and Defense. However, it ultimately all revolves around damage attributes. Not even healers are in demand – even though there is strong healing in the game.
Whether you want to play the raids, clear up in PvP, or conquer the Dark Zone: Without an optimized damage build, you’re rarely going to get very far.
The hunt for the perfect piece of equipment ultimately dictates the entire endgame. There are cool puzzles in the game, numerous missions, and a lot to discover. However, much of this has little to no replay value.
Even the fights against the countless gangsters lose their charm over time because it always comes down to pumping a very sponge-like bullet sponge full of ammunition for several minutes.
The motivation ultimately hangs only on the min-max aspect: “I definitely want to get the remaining 0.3% weapon damage on my damned knee pads!”.
And then you grind the same mission at the Lincoln Memorial 13 times because “Targeted Loot” promises knee pads that day.

The loot shooter is really good if you want to experience an exciting story in a real setting. Collecting and improving brings fun and motivation, the shooting and clever use of gadgets keep you entertained.
However, the fun has an expiration date, and the air quickly goes out after the start of the endgame. Until that point, Division 2, however, is a strong co-op shooter that is worth recommending.
After the recent announcement that new content is on the way, this quote from MeinMMO reader “Gamer” might apply to many fans: “Still one of the best games for me. Spent countless hours on it. Due to content drought, I only play occasionally now, but I’m looking forward to more”.

The Division 2 was the first game I accompanied as an author and thus holds a special place in that part of my heart that is dedicated to gaming.
However, even from an objective standpoint: I can recommend The Division 2 to any fan of shooters. If the third-person view is not a complete exclusion criterion for you, you can’t go wrong here.
You blast your way through explosive battles in famous American cities, distributing countless bullets on the hordes of gangsters in the streets and rise as the guardian of peace and order.
The graphics still leave little to be desired even 3 years after release and transform the detail-obsessed open world into a wonderland of environmental storytelling.
But don’t expect a long-term relationship with prospects of tax savings thanks to spousal splitting. Instead, see it more as an intense summer camp romance with an expiration date.
Compared to other titles of the Division AAA caliber, the loot shooter offers a great deal, but it simply cannot compete with large MMOs or even MMORPGs.
If you ever get bored, the chance is low that it will change again. Then it’s time to politely say goodbye with a nice message. But don’t ghost; that’s just mean.

In our theme week “Find Your Next Game” we present old and new games that you should take a look at if you don’t know them yet. This time it’s about the loot shooter The Division 2. This is a game that is as grand as its failures, which is why it still provides many fun hours of gameplay in 2022.
Genre: Loot shooter | Developer: Massive Entertainment (Ubisoft) | Platform: PC, PS4, Xbox One, Google Stadia | Release: 15.03.2019
What kind of game is The Division 2? The Division 2 is, quite frankly, a more serious Destiny. While you zoom across a Saturn moon filled with space magic in the sci-fi adventure Destiny, Division sends you to real American cities to fight the demons of evil.
The setting is based on a realistic world, just like the graphics. Parts of the Earth are in ruins after a pandemic, entire societies collapse, and governments are on the brink of dysfunction. That’s when you step in.
The third-person shooter with cover mechanics transforms you into an agent of the “Strategic Homeland Division”. With modern weapons and technological gadgets, you blast your way through the ruins of Washington D.C.
You complete missions in an extremely detailed open world, thwart the plans of the apocalyptic gangs, and cultivate a highly specialized agent who gives local warlords nightmares.
We will show you why The Division 2, even three years after its release, represents a top title in its genre and why you should definitely check it out if you don’t know the game yet in this edition of “Find Your Next Game”. Let’s start with the German launch trailer:

The Division 2 – A Shooter Hit at the Highest Level
How does the loot shooter feel to play? The gameplay loop is very typical for the genre:
You create a character
You level up continually
You collect a ton of stuff that improves you
You improve the stuff you gather in heaps
On your way to the maximum level, you complete story missions, explore the fantastic open world, and continue to develop your agent. Armor and weapons offer different stat improvements that you can coordinate with one another.
The third-person perspective gives you a very good overview of the battlefield, and the cover mechanics round off the gaming experience perfectly.
You don’t even need to walk yourself to reach the next cover. A well-timed roll to the side along with the button for “run to next cover” creates a smooth maneuver.
You can also pierce incoming enemies from cover, aim precisely, or shoot out of sight with a well-timed grenade throw.
A large arsenal of weapons and deadly gadgets stands by your side.
For that little extra, you mix various technological toys into your hail of bullets. You can deploy flying drones, rattling turrets, homing mines, or annoying mini-flash drones. Among the wide range of devices, you can carry 2 with you.
The use of intrusive war toys can even be pushed to the limit, so that firearms play only a supporting role. If you prefer to shoot enemies in the face yourself, you let the technology support you.
When it comes to weapons, war machines, and equipment, there’s something for almost every playstyle.
Overall, everything is very coherent, it rarely feels clumsy, and it should appeal even to first-person shooter veterans who are used only to seeing weapon and hand on screen.
To get an impression of the gameplay, we are embedding a video of a typical mission of The Division 2 here. Pay attention to the detailed environments and the skillful use of devices and cover:
Motivation is provided not only by the excellent environmental storytelling and the long story campaign but also by a flood of loot that regularly brings complete rotations to your inventory.
Once you reach the maximum level of 30 and complete the “first” story, you unlock the specializations. This can keep you occupied for 25 to 30 hours.
The specializations are, broadly speaking, RPG classes that grant you active as well as passive bonuses.
For example, there is the specialization “Firewall”. The quartermaster digs out a flamethrower with a matching shield from his locker, and you mutate into a fiery melee fighter with a wrath against anything that comes within 15 meters of your sight.
If you prefer not to get too close, you can specialize in explosions or range instead. The base game includes 3 specializations, which you must level up individually but can also switch out.
With the specializations, you unlock a heavy weapon and a skills tree.
Almost all content in Division 2 can be played cooperatively. However, the MMO shooter is also a hit as a single player game and caters to your preference; you don’t necessarily need a complete agent team.
At the top of the content food chain are 2 tough raids for 8 agents. Large PvE missions with nasty bosses that require a lot of coordination and mechanical knowledge from you. However, you will need 7 other motivated and fully equipped players for that.
There is also PvP in Division 2. Either in pure PvP battles that quickly find an end and a winner, or in the Dark Zone.
The Dark Zone is an exciting PvEvP mode where you explore an infected zone, loot strong items, and can encounter hostile players at any time. “Contaminated” loot must be extracted before the PvP aspect kicks in and other players can steal your stuff.
In the Dark Zone, you encounter hostile players – but also your own team can betray you.
An advantage of Division 2 is also a little its age. The release was already in 2019, and you can get the base game for just 10 euros – your chosen platform doesn’t matter.
If the base game has convinced you, you can then reach for the big, paid DLC “Warlords of New York”. Here you hunt the nasty antagonist from the first Division game and roam the devastated New York City.
In terms of graphics, the loot shooter does not show its age. The realistically designed environments look really good, provide great views throughout the game, and many models are just bursting with detail.
Division 2 still offers great views and strong graphics.
So far, everything sounds fantastic, right? But where the sun shines, a shadow is not far away. The Division 2 struggles with some problems that we will explain to you in the next section.
Those expecting an MMO endgame will be disappointed
Where does Division 2 fall short? The shooter offers a strong and lengthy story, tons of equipment, gadgetry, and a beautiful, large open world.
If you go into the loot shooter with the right expectations, you will have a good time and experience an exciting adventure. However, if the MMO and service aspect of the game matters to you, it could be possible that you will be disappointed.
If you ever get bored, the chance is low that it will change again. Then it’s time to politely say goodbye with a nice message. But don’t ghost; that’s just mean.
