Wrong item decisions exist in every division of League of Legends and even the professional LoL players are sometimes not quite sure. This was shown in the game between G2 Esports and DWG KIA when Heo “ShowMaker” Su built the Morellonomicon on Azir.
What kind of items are we talking about exactly? It primarily concerns items with the effect of “Grievous Wounds”. This leads to a reduction of the healing of opponents affected by the effect.
The “Morellonomicon” or “Morellos” is an item for champions who focus on health and ability power. The effect “Grievous Wounds” reduces champions’ healing by 25% fundamentally. This increases to 40% healing reduction when the opponent falls below 50% health.
However, it only matters for the healing that happens in the next 4 seconds after the opponent receives magic damage. This effect can be extended by an additional 4 seconds if the item “Liandry’s Anguish” has been purchased.
Why is the item still purchased by the professionals?
What did the item aim against G2? In the first game of Group B between G2 Esports and DWG KIA, the mid-laner of DWG chose the Morellonomicon. Azir was facing Seraphine, who is supposed to ensure longer survival in fights with healing, CC, and poke damage.
For this game, the Morellonomicon only proved to be limitedly beneficial for Azir. The purchase meant that Seraphine could not play as aggressively as she would have wanted. Showmaker was already leading with 3/0/3 at that time. This advantage could have been exploited even more by Showmaker with another item, such as the “Shadowflame”.
Renato Perdigão is a video producer for the LEC and posted Showmaker’s stats on Twitter:

Here you can see Showmaker’s Morellonomicon stats against G2
Here you can see when the Morellonomicon’s stats kicked in. In the first 6 minutes that Showmaker had the item, only 4 health points of healing were reduced. That’s less than a minion’s attack on the lane.
By the end of the game, a total of 890 healing was reduced. That is quite low for a game lasting 32 minutes.
Is the item suitable for your ranked games? The Morellonomicon is a helpful item when it comes to significantly reducing healing. It refers to healing in combat. This can be especially true for champions like Soraka, Aatrox, Sylas, or Olaf, who heal a lot during the fight.
If the healing occurs after the fight, the item’s effect won’t help you much. It takes up an inventory slot and delays your stronger phase of the game. Even “LS” has commented on the item, reiterating what he has always said about the Morellonomicon, namely that the item has significantly better alternatives.

Nick “LS” De Cesare is annoyed about the Morellonomicon
Moreover, the additional effect of the Morellonomicon only takes effect when the opponent falls below 50% health. This effect is described as “a joke” by LS.
If you are considering purchasing the item, you should first ask yourself how much healing the opponents have in the fight. Or is there perhaps a better item that amplifies your damage in the early game phases?
Diablo Immortal has received a new update, which includes several new features, including a new currency: Telluric Pearls. With these, you can buy the coveted legendary gems, and even for free. However, you will have to grind for quite a while.
About these items: Legendary gems are crucial for your strength. They have various effects that make many class builds genuinely useful. You can get legendary gems for free or buy them with real money.
They enhance the efficiency of your remaining equipment through so-called Resonance and can only be obtained quickly with a significant investment of real money. Legendary gems are therefore considered the major Pay2Win factor of Diablo Immortal.
What’s new: Telluric Pearls are the new currency in Diablo Immortal. With these, you can buy specific legendary gems with 5 stars from the Master Gemsmith. There are 3 sources to obtain the pearls:
for 800 Hilt at the Hilt vendor in Westmark (once a week)
by participating in time-limited events
for real money in the shop as part of certain bundles
After the change that you can get more legendary emblems, Telluric Pearls provide a new way to obtain legendary gems for free. However, you will need to dedicate a lot of time.
What exactly legendary gems are and how they work, we explain in the video:
Start video
Diablo Immortal: What are legendary gems? Facts and locations in 3 minutes
What’s the catch? The new system comes with two issues. The first is that, according to reports, you can only obtain gems with 2/5 stars. While these gems still fall into the category of the most powerful items (5-star gems), they are at the weakest rank.
The stars can be upgraded, but that involves even more grinding. And already, the grind is enormous. The second issue is that you need 40 pearls for one gem. Since you only get one pearl guaranteed for free per week, that means up to 40 weeks of grinding – or just over 9 months.
This, of course, only applies if you don’t want to spend money. We don’t yet know how many pearls will be available in the events. But expect several months of pure grinding.
Telluric Pearls are available weekly from the vendor. The Traveler’s supplies are a source, but cost real money.Gems like the coveted Blood-Soaked Jade can be crafted easily.
“This is still a good deal”
Is it worth it? Even though the grind sounds like a lot, according to some hardcore players, it’s better than almost all other options currently available for free-to-play players in the game (via reddit).
You can obtain a 2/5-star gem with the pearls for 32,000 Hilt, and it is worth 32 gem power. You need gem power to upgrade other legendary gems, and it does not matter which gem you “scrap” for this.
The previously best alternative was purchasing Ca’arsen’s Buff, a 1-star gem, or a legendary emblem. Both cost 1,600 Hilt and yield one gem power – or with luck, a little more.
2/5-star gems are indeed highly sought after for upgrading, as they are relatively easy to get. With the pearls, it is a long grind, but still better than the alternatives.
Elsewhere, the community is currently frustrated about a persistent issue: PvP:
The Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti is one of the fastest graphics cards you can buy for your gaming PC. Prices are around 1000 euros, which is a lot of money. A user was able to snag such a graphics card for only 640 euros. But the deal wasn’t as good as it seemed.
With the release of the RTX 4080 and RTX 4090, there are new powerful graphics cards on the market again. Some users are trying to get the current generation graphics cards like the RTX 3080 at a lower price.
A gamer recently pulled off a special coup, as he allegedly purchased an RTX 3080 Ti for only 640 euros. In retail, you still pay at least 1,000 euros or more for that.
You can read in our buying guide for whom an RTX 3080 Ti is really worth it:
Gamer installs RTX 3080 Ti – GPU is recognized as “only” RTX 3070
What is the problem? The user complained on reddit that the RTX 3080 Ti was detected by the system only as an RTX 3070. And that is already a significant difference in price and performance. He has already tried quite a bit:
First, he updated his graphics card drivers and the software.
Then he checked the graphics card once again with GPU Z, a small tool.
However, the graphics card continues to be displayed as RTX 3070. For this reason, he turned to the community on reddit. And here the first comment mentioned (via reddit.com):
Sounds like fraud. Try checking the device manager and see what it shows.
What is behind the problem? The annoyance was resolved quite quickly. Because the purchased graphics card was actually not an RTX 3080 Ti, but the displayed RTX 3070.
Some users explained that the supposed errors did not look like problems at all, but the graphics card simply displayed the correct data. For the buyer, this is certainly still quite annoying. Because, as another user explained, he had been sold an RTX 3070 for the price of an RTX 3080 (via reddit.com).
This makes the offer not seem so great anymore, as if he had bought an RTX 3080 Ti for 600 euros. With 640 euros, the price is actually within the range of what you would currently need to pay for an RTX 3070 in stores (like geizhals.de).
However, the situation ends well: The user explains in a short update of his thread that he is getting his money back from the seller.
The new RTX 4000 series graphics cards are being sold by scalpers at exorbitant prices, while you can still get the cards at MSRP:
Be careful what you buy and test used hardware directly
What can you learn from this? Basically, you should always be careful with offers on Amazon or eBay. Especially when a deal looks too good, you should consider whether you really want to buy the product. Because in many cases, the effort and the associated trouble are not worth it.
In the best case, consumer protection programs from eBay or Amazon will protect you, so that you at least get your money back in the most annoying cases. Also, you should always directly test hardware that you buy used. This way, you can be sure that everything works and is as it should be.
Another user had a similar experience, as he allegedly bought an RX 6900 XT for a mere 300 euros. This also turned out to be fraud:
More stories about graphics cards: Another user had purchased an RTX 3080 relatively cheaply. But he also had little joy with the graphics card, as he encountered several issues:
Guild Wars 2 is one of the most successful and best MMORPGs on the market. Still, many old players long for a “real successor to Guild Wars 1”. The game from 2005 did many things differently than other MMORPGs of the time, winning the hearts of many players. MeinMMO editor Alexander Leitsch reveals what was so good about it.
Guild Wars 1 was never a classic MMORPG. The world was divided into dozens of private instances, the max level was just 20, and even in terms of skills and payment model, the game took unusual paths for its time.
Yet these decisions turned out to be a stroke of luck. The development studio ArenaNet was able to build a fan base that is still active in Guild Wars 1 17 years after release and 13 years after the last expansion.
And they still loudly call for a “true Guild Wars 2”.
Who’s speaking here? Alex dove into the world of Guild Wars 1 in 2006 with the release of Factions and has since spent over 10,000 hours on the game. His heart still beats for the game, and the Rift and Underworld are his home, even if he is also close to 10,000 play hours in Guild Wars 2.
Strict separation of PvE and PvP – With great successes
Right at the character creation, the first difference compared to classic MMORPGs awaited. You had the choice between a role-playing character or a PvP character:
The role-playing character started at level 1 in one of the campaigns and you could use him in PvE or PvP. In PvP, however, he only became useful when you reached max level.
PvP characters had max level from the start but could not leave the PvP lobbies.
These options allowed newcomers to start directly in PvP and participate in various arenas. Generally, Guild Wars 1 differed in terms of PvP from other titles of its time. There was no PvP in the open world – also because there was no open world.
PvP only took place in designated arenas.
The first decision in the game: Do I start in PvE or PvP?
What fascinated me most back then was that skill in PvP was the most important factor.
With the PvP characters, level and equipment did not matter much, as you could quickly unlock all relevant skills, and the max equipment was predefined.
However, if you wanted to dominate in Hero’s Ascension or Guild Battles, you needed to put together a good team combo and train with it, train, train, train. I myself had PvP training up to five times a week in its heyday.
PvE was only possible as a group, even if it didn’t necessarily consist of players
If you couldn’t get into PvP, you started as a role-playing character. After a short tutorial covering the basics, it became clear especially for veterans of EverQuest or WoW that Guild Wars 1 was not a classic MMORPG.
Because you only encountered other players in cities. Every area outside the cities was completely instantiated, just like dungeons. You could enter these areas with a group of 1 to initially 4 and later up to 8 players. And you always needed a group.
Of course, it was most fun when the empty slots were filled by other players. Even in simple story quests, you were forced to interact with others. Alone you would walk to a certain death.
If you could not find or did not want to find teammates, you could rely on allies, i.e., NPCs. Later, heroes were introduced – NPCs you could customize and equip. This group system created a very special feeling:
In Guild Wars 1, you were never alone,
you were always dependent on healers,
tactics and positioning always played a role.
The cool thing about the system was that due to instantiation, you never had to wait on mobs. You could simply leave the area and re-enter – ideal for grinders. Additionally, a hard mode for each area was later introduced that you could activate optionally. This is what makes GW1 unique even today.

5 old MMORPGs that are still actively played
Fast to max level, but still a lot to do
If you did not want a long grind but wanted to get to the end-game areas quickly, Guild Wars 1 also made it relatively easy. The max level was only 20 and could be reached in a matter of hours in later campaigns. The max equipment could also easily be bought from a vendor – also requiring very little time.
You could even skip the travel times to new cities, thanks to so-called rushers. They were paid to simply walk from one place to another. Because when a member of the group enters a city or a new area, the entire group is teleported there. Yes, in Guild Wars 1, you were paid to just walk to another location while the buyer was AFK.
However, if you think this meant you quickly reached the end of the game, you are greatly mistaken:
Completing the campaigns (a total of four) took between 5 to 20 hours each.
To unlock all skills – especially the elite skills – challenges had to be mastered, and certain bosses had to be defeated.
There were many elite areas like Underworld, Rift, or Torment’s Gate, which could only be completed with player groups.
In the endgame, everything revolved around fashion and titles. To get the coolest armor skins, you often had to grind weeks or months. Those wanting the famous title “God Among Mortals” had to work on various challenges for years.
By the way, Guild Wars 1 can still be played today, although the player numbers are relatively low and there are no updates:
As much as I remember back then, I often forget the problems of the game. The story was very thin in many places, many of the 250 skills were useless in virtually every scenario, and you mostly played the meta builds; the combat system was too static at many points, and long loading times and lags sometimes decided entire PvP matches.
Moreover, a large part of the game content consisted of heavy grind for rare titles or armor or just assembling builds. If you had no fun with that, you quickly disappeared from Guild Wars 1.
Nevertheless, many wish for a modern version of the game. A “real Guild Wars 2”, as some veterans emphasize here on MeinMMO:
RSH wrote under an article: “GuildWars 1 was amazing back then. The incredibly many build versions and play styles, especially in PvP. Rarely have I been so addicted […}. Even PvE farming was fun; the dungeons were cool. A shame that Guild Wars 2 had nothing to do with GW1.
Yannick Trevy also could not get into the successor: “GW1 was also my first online game. I could spend hours on it without thinking of anything else. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get into GW2 at all, which made me very sad because I was really looking forward to it.”
The problem: Guild Wars 2 breaks with almost all of these special features. The game world is open, there are no heroes or dual classes, the variety of builds is smaller, and the entire story can be completed solo.

Is Guild Wars 2 a bad game? Definitely not. In pure player and revenue numbers, it is significantly more successful than its predecessor and appeals to a broader audience. But it is not a successor regarding game systems and gameplay. And it is very likely that such a thing will never happen.
Did you play Guild Wars 1 at its peak? What made the MMORPG so special for you? What is your favorite memory? Feel free to write it in the comments.
Whether it is worth starting Guild Wars 2 right now, we have discussed here for you:
In addition, there were many smaller tasks, like equipping heroes, collecting miniatures, fully dyeing armor, and so on. In my 10,000 play hours, I have never been bored. This was not least due to the big topic of builds.
250 skills per class, dual-classing, and hero setup
The combat system of Guild Wars 1 has always been quite static. There were no dodge rolls, direct aiming was not needed, and there was not even a key to jump. However, there was a special rule: Every player can only take eight active skills into an area.
Guild Wars 1 already offered around 75 skills per class at launch and the option for a secondary class. As a warrior, I could choose monk as a secondary class and thus use all of the monk’s skills. I could heal myself or shield myself as a melee and tank.
Over time, the classes gained more skills – now there are around 250. Each class has access to all other skills thanks to secondary classes, making it incredibly difficult to reduce the number to eight skills.
I spent hundreds of hours back then in the calculator Paw-Ned (Image via Guildwiki).
From this large pool of possibilities, hardcore theorycrafters then developed the best builds – for solo players but also for groups, NPCs, or PvP teams.
If one wanted, one could spend weeks and months just optimizing builds. If one was lazy, they simply followed the meta, like in the Discord Way with heroes or fixed spike groups in PvP.
However, I have never spent as much time assembling builds and groups in any other MMORPG as I did in Guild Wars 1.
No monthly fees
For me, the decisive factor for Guild Wars 1 in 2006 was the payment model. Because at 13, my mother did not let me sign up for a subscription for WoW. However, Guild Wars 1 only had to be purchased once and you could always play it – later, new expansions were added. It was the forerunner of the Buy2Play model that many games use today.
By the way, Guild Wars 1 can still be played today, although the player numbers are relatively low and there are no updates:

Whether it is worth starting Guild Wars 2 right now, we have discussed here for you:
In Destiny 2, Guardians have often found one or another unannounced quest. However, the last secret has been quite some time ago. Thus, it was predictable that after Bungie’s cryptic patch notes for Update 6.2.0.8, hope immediately sparked among the Guardians. MeinMMO tells you what was going on.
Puzzle-loving Guardians immediately caught fire when Bungie published the probably most mysterious patch notes for Update 6.2.0.8 on Tuesday, October 11. Those who expected the usual general information and bug fixes for existing issues were disappointed.
Instead, curious Guardians were met with a short and cryptic message that Bungie stated should not be paid further attention to:
This is a test. Please do not pay attention. We are testing a new technology for a different type of hotfix. There are no hidden quests or things that are added or changed. Seriously, believe us. If you want to go looking, feel free. But don’t complain if you find nothing.
was stated in the patch notes for Update 6.2.0.8
Secret missions are part of the identity of Destiny 2.
The message had the exact opposite effect: However, what Bungie likely wanted to avoid happened, namely that Guardians in the shooter launched a pointless search for nothing.
Nothing helped. The passionate and puzzle-loving Guardians were all the more fired up after this message and absolutely ready to turn over every pixel of the FPS shooter. Especially since “The about nothing” patch still required a download, so something in the game must have changed.
The streamer and PvP ace True Vanguard immediately posted with a hint of irony on Twitter: “I will be the first to find out what a secret quest is.”
Many Guardians looked more closely in the strikes and the open world to see if they could discover new doors or signals. In vain.
The only thing Bungie achieved with this “Here is nothing” message was to hype Guardians unnecessarily and then disappoint them:
Hyped by cryptic information with the trigger word “hidden quests or things”.
Disappointed by the fact that there are apparently still no secret things to discover in the game.
You have caused us unimaginable chaos, the search will continue. Is there a single secret in the game that we have overlooked so far? If so, please let the community know so we can find it. We need something to keep us on our toes.
Bungie clarifies that it really was nothing: However, curiosity did not wane. Many players and content creators as well as journalists asked Bungie again for more tips or hints. Consequently, Bungie’s community manager dmg04 felt obliged to point out again that there really is nothing. It was really just a test. Nothing more.
As he explained: Since the studio had nothing to announce except “Updated version number to 6.2.0.8”, it was decided “instead of delivering nothing that looks even more suspicious, to have a little fun with the patch notes.”

Bungie’s community manager clarified the situation again.
A change in the update routine: Obviously, Bungie is planning a change in the deployment infrastructure for updates and patch notes. Thus, the update 6.2.0.8 was delivered within the Destiny app on Xbox and not via the standard Microsoft release channel.
The players’ reaction to these funny patch notes from Bungie shows, however, what Destiny 2 is currently most missing: discoverable secrets.
Reactions show what players really want
Foreboding was the last secret mission in Destiny 2 during Season 13.
Hardly anything left to find on your own: The last secret that Guardians could discover was in Season 13 the horror ship Glykon in the mission “Foreboding”. Back then, the mission for the exotic “Tale of a Dead Man” started in a rather boring playlist strike. Suddenly, a door opened that had always been locked until then and led the Guardians on new paths.
Yet, these are the very things that players in Destiny 2 sporadically long for. The unexpected that occasionally breaks them out of the routine of strikes, top loot, and raids to send them on a new, adventurous mission for a while.
The user Craig sums it up on Twitter when he posts: “I mean, we all love and miss that.”
Also on reddit, opinions are no different, like that of player TheBeefiestofCakes: “No secrets or interesting puzzles […] no wonder the [players] are starving. The Destiny community loves big puzzles, and we haven’t really gotten a single one.”
At least some Guardians could still find something funny in the situation and made jokes about the nonexistent update info.
The player FireCloud42 writes: “Did you do something with the Tower? It feels slower again (not too bad, but slower than last week)”
Spooky Dev Hazel calls out, “Guys, grab your Telestos. Let’s have fun.” Just like the motto, if there’s nothing to report, then let’s find a new bug with the most buggy exotic in Destiny 2.
The Guardian Higgins82 suggests, “If we take the capital letters [from the English patch notes], we get “TWHTSID.” What, in my opinion, means: “Trials will contain the secret information, Dredgen.” So equip your Dredgen titles and play some PvP this weekend!”
What is your opinion on the information from Bungie? Do you believe the developer that it was just a test? Do you suspect there’s more behind it and participated in the guessing? Or would you have preferred that Bungie fixed annoying bugs with the update instead? Feel free to share your thoughts on the rather unusual patch notes in the comments.
Next week, Halloween will already start in Destiny 2 and we have summarized all relevant details and leaks for you in an article:
That the previous version of the Steam Mobile App was, to put it mildly, a bit awkward is something anyone who downloaded it must have noticed. Now Valve has completely overhauled it, giving it a new framework, a new design, and new features. You can find all the information in this article.
On the evening of yesterday Wednesday, October 12, 2022 Valve surprisingly announced that they have completely revamped the Steam Mobile App for Android and iOS. This was urgently needed since the previous version of the app was no longer up to date, especially regarding its design and user interface.

The English-language announcement trailer for the new Steam Mobile App.
These are the new features of the Steam Mobile App
As usual, you can of course still browse the shop, receive Steam Guard codes, and confirm trade requests. In addition, there are now a lot of new features:
The two-factor authentication ensures that only you have access to your account.
Log in to Steam by scanning a QR code instead of using a password or
confirm your usual login with a simple tap on “Approve” or “Deny”.
Authorized devices: Access management for devices logged into your account
Access to the Steam shop, community, news, etc. – anytime and anywhere
Your library with all game content, discussions, guides, support pages, and more
Remote downloads of games and updates to your PC from your smartphone
Customization of Steam notifications: wish list, sales, comments, trade requests, discussions, friend requests, and more
Management of trade and market confirmations to ensure that items leave your inventory only with your consent
An enhanced experience for browsing the shop on mobile devices
It is immediately noticeable that the updated Mobile App now has a very similar design to the desktop version. A unified design would also be a novelty for Valve’s platform.
In addition to smarter notifications and a significantly improved library view with the option for remote downloads, one of the biggest innovations is that you can now log in directly with a QR code on your computer.
The updated Steam Mobile App also offers much better protection for your account thanks to the new two-factor authentication.
This is how two-factor authentication works for login
After scanning the QR code, the Steam Mobile App shows you a confirmation page with information about the login, such as the location of the device from which the login attempt originated. Based on these details, you can identify yourself securely and clearly for Steam.
Consequently, you can also refuse further login attempts that should not be from you with two-factor authentication – for example, if your password has been stolen.
This type of login has been known for a long time from many other apps. The integration of this feature was therefore long overdue. Of course, you can still log in with your account name and password if you prefer the old way.
What do you think of the design and the new features of the app? Will you, for example, use the QR code login or continue logging in with your account name and password? Feel free to let us know in the comments.

The developers of D&D: Dark Alliance have announced that a new AAA game in the Dungeons and Dragons universe is in development. According to a rumor, it could be like The Witcher.
What kind of game is this? The new game is a currently developing AAA title that is supposed to be based on the Dungeons and Dragons universe. The fantasy game is being developed by Invoke Studios using Unreal Engine 5.
What do we know about the studio? Invoke Studios is comprised of the team from Tuque Games, the developers of Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Alliance. Tuque Games announced the rebranding to Invoke Studios on October 12.
Invoke Studios is part of the American publisher Wizards of the Coast, who are behind games like Magic: The Gathering and Magic Spellslingers. (via company.wizards.com)

Rumor: Open-world and fantasy RPG is “a safe bet”
What is this rumor? The American online magazine Polygon.com states in a report, “an open-world fantasy RPG in the style of The Witcher or Dragon Age seems to be a safe bet”.
If the rumor is true, the D&D game would be a fantasy RPG set in an open world. However, as of now, the rumor is merely speculation. There is currently no official information about the game or how it will be structured.
However, the experience of Dominic Guay, Vice President and General Manager of Invoke Studios, supports the rumor. Dominic Guay is a veteran in the gaming industry and has worked for Ubisoft Montreal for 20 years. There, he was involved as a project manager and senior producer in Watch Dogs 1 and 2 (via LinkedIn) – he is therefore familiar with open-world games.
What do we know about the release? Similar to the general concept and design of the game, we currently have no information about the planned release.

Several maps are missing in Overwatch 2. But what happened to the popular maps? Are they coming back?
In the meantime, Overwatch 2 is running smoothly, and at least the server issues from the launch are becoming more and more forgotten. However, this has made some veterans notice other problems that exist – and even the lack of content. Many of the most popular maps have disappeared from Blizzard’s hero shooter, namely all “Assault” maps. This includes the fan-favorite Hanamura.
But other maps, such as Volskaya Industries, Temple of Anubis, Paris, and the Horizon Lunar Colony have also been removed from the game.
Why is Hanamura so popular? Hanamura, with its Japanese aesthetic, was not only a beautiful map for “proud weebs” but also for anyone who engaged with Overwatch’s story. Both heroes Hanzo and Genji lived in Hanamura, and one of the most well-known Overwatch cinematics took place on this map. Blizzard even incorporated many details back then, such as arrows or parts of the destruction that occurred in the cinematic. Additionally, Hanamura had very soft colors and was simply a visually pleasing sight.
The fact that Hanamura is considered an essential part of Overwatch’s DNA by many fans is also shown by a post in the Overwatch subreddit – there were more than 19,000 upvotes for the demand that Hanamura should return.

Why were the maps removed? This is primarily because the entire game mode “Assault” has been removed. All maps where two control points had to be captured one after the other are no longer part of the main game. The mode turned out to be not very enjoyable, especially in the competitive scene, and usually led to one of two scenarios:
Either there was a “snowball” effect, where one team captured both control points in very rapid succession, or there were prolonged “overtime” matches that had no end even after several minutes past the time.
The Russian map “Volskaya” was one of the Assault maps that has now disappeared.
Accordingly, this game mode fell from grace and was little fun for many, no matter how pretty the maps looked. In the “Push” maps, the battles are different; they shift to different places due to the moving payload.
Although Overwatch 2 is the sequel to the hero shooter, not all content made it into the successor. In particular, a larger portion of the original maps is no longer part of the rotation and has thus been effectively removed from the game.
In custom games, the old maps can still be selected – except for Temple of Anubis.
Can the maps still be played? Yes, it is possible – at least partially. However, only in a “Custom Game,” that is, outside of the ranked or “Quick Match” mode, the maps are available except for “Temple of Anubis.” You must activate the “Assault” mode to access and play the old maps.
In all public game modes – which reward XP for the battle pass – the maps are no longer available.
Will Blizzard bring the maps back? That is likely, albeit in an altered form. In an interview with the magazine Polygon, Dion Rogers (Art Director) spoke weeks ago about Hanamura and the other maps, stating:
It was a difficult decision for us to lose these Assault maps. Hanamura was one of my favorite maps in the game, with the Japanese aesthetic and the arcade that you can destroy. We plan to reuse that in some way because it’s so deeply connected to the story of the game – just like the Temple of Anubis and Volskaya. […]
When we originally created the game, many maps had a direct connection to the story, so we hope to revisit them in some other way, especially Hanamura. Either as a new map with similar aesthetics or another area of Hanamura. There are some ideas. […]
But we really believe it would be better if these maps were part of the main game. We’ve already talked a lot about reusing these maps. We will create a new map with the same look.
It remains to be hoped that Overwatch 2 will bring these maps back with variations in the future since they were quite popular with many players.
Do you want to see the return of these maps? Or are you glad that these maps have disappeared from the current pool?

Currently, there are numerous MMORPGs that make gamers’ hearts race. But what if you could only play one of them for the rest of your life? Which game would you choose?
What does MMORPG mean? The abbreviation MMORPG stands for Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game.
In MMORPGs, gamers can immerse themselves in a completely different world and assume various roles and settings. With the vast selection of MMORPGs currently available, there is something suitable for every player.
This includes many RPGs set in a fantasy setting. Well-known representatives of this genre are World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy XIV. Additionally, there are historically-based games like Broken Ranks and those set in the future, like in EVE Online.
Now we are interested in your opinion. Assuming you can only choose one MMORPG to play for the rest of your life, which one would you choose?
This time, the poll runs directly through the comments. Feel free to let us know which MMORPG you would choose if you could only play one for the rest of your life.
It doesn’t matter whether they are current MMORPGs or games that have already been shut down, such as TERA or Elyon.
Feel free to explain the reasons for your decision: Why would you choose this particular MMORPG? Have you perhaps been playing it for what feels like forever, or is it an exciting new discovery that you don’t want to miss out on anymore?
With Super People (PC), a new Battle Royale was released on Steam on October 11, which has a unique twist. Players take on the roles of characters with special superpowers. The gameplay is receiving praise and attracting many players. However, they were mainly annoyed by the skins. The developers responded immediately.
Update October 13: The developers have responded and announced changes to the in-game store. Outfits will now be permanently unlocked, there will be new ways to earn skins in the game itself, and players have been refunded the money spent since early access (via Steam).
What kind of game is this? Super People is a classic Battle Royale and visually resembles PUBG, largely because both games are based on the Unreal Engine – in this case, the U4:
There are modes for solo, duo, or trio matches.
You can choose to play in first-person or third-person view.
You choose one of 13 different soldiers with firearms and special abilities.
At the beginning of the game, you will be dropped over the map and can choose a place to land.
You start with little and can progressively equip yourself better. There is even a crafting system like in Realm Royale.
In terms of movement and weapons, it is more reminiscent of Apex Legends.
The twist are the super abilities that the different classes have. One class can jump particularly high, while another is particularly fast. The sniper, for example, can hear the opponents’ heartbeat from a greater distance and thus locate them early.
On the release day, 45,297 players concurrently checked out the Battle Royale at peak times (via SteamDB). And although the gameplay receives much praise, the finished release version has also received harsh criticism.

Super People – Trailer zum letzten Beta-Test
Despite much praise, many rate the game negatively on Steam and the skins were to blame
How is the rating? On October 12 at 4:00 PM, Super People only had 48% positive reviews out of 1,360 ratings on Steam. Interestingly, even many negative reviews praise the basic gameplay. On October 13 at 10:30 AM, at least 57% of the reviews were positive.
The major criticism is directed at the shop. Although it is not pay-to-win, it sells many cosmetic skins for real money:
The soldiers are said to look very bad in their basic version, which is why many would like to buy skins.
However, these skins only last for 3, 5, or 7 days. After that, they are simply taken away from the players.
Additionally, some skins that could be earned in the beta have been relegated to the shop in the final release version.
The reviews of the game read in many cases like this:
The gameplay is great, but the item shop is terrible. You buy skins but can’t even keep them! They are only temporary! WTF, such a stupid thing.
Are there other points of criticism? Yes, some users complain about crashes, glitches, and graphical bugs, as is common with many new releases nowadays. Additionally, the interface of the shop and the overall inventory are said to be very confusing and difficult to manage.
However, the gameplay is hardly criticized in any negative review. In the positive reviews, almost everyone praises the fun combat system, and some players already describe it as the “better PUBG.” Many hope that the Korean developer Wonder Games will improve the shop and thus make Super People a really good game.
What do you think of Super People? Is a new Battle Royale with additional abilities and crafting systems appealing to you? Or are you tired of the genre by now?
The best Battle Royales you can play right now can be found in this list:
Blizzard shows no mercy to players. In World of Warcraft Dragonflight, you must face an old evil that still causes sleepless nights.
There are now thousands of quests in World of Warcraft. Most of them just pass by, being well-known gathering and killing quests. Other missions with epic stories remain memorable for longer. But only the most annoying of all quests burn themselves into memory and are collectively greeted by players with an exasperated groan.
Blizzard makes a joke out of this in Dragonflight and brings back one of the most exhausting NPCs of all time – who apparently has not learned from his mistakes: Khadgar’s servant is roaming in Valdrakken.
What does this refer to? The NPC “Khadgar’s improved servant” is an evolution of “Khadgar’s servant.” Those who played back in the days of “The Burning Crusade” might now feel the cold sweat of post-traumatic stress on their forehead. Because in the questline “City of Light,” you had to follow one of Khadgar’s elementals in Shattrath back then. He calmly guided you through the city, occasionally explaining things about the various factions and locations. This tour lasted several minutes.
The mages in Valdrakken suffer from Khadgar’s servant. (Image source: wowhead)
Those who thought back then: “I won’t put myself through this nonsense” and simply went afk during the quest found upon their return that the quest was not completed. Because if you did not follow the elemental every step of the way, there was no quest progress, and you had to repeat the mission. Simply “skipping” was not an option either because back then the quest was practically mandatory if you wanted to unlock more quests in Shattrath.
“City of Light” remains one of the most hated quests to this day and a reason why many players have still not forgiven Khadgar and his elemental.
More about World of Warcraft can be found here on MeinMMO:
Where can you find Khadgar’s servant? In Valdrakken, the new capital in Dragonflight, you can encounter “Khadgar’s servant” once again starting in November. He will then be giving tours of the city and will be accompanied by 4 “visiting mages” who will comment on every (very slow) step of the elemental. Apparently, these mages have also had contact with Khadgar’s servants. They say things like:
“Can we not go any faster?”
“Why is this thing so slow?”
“Khadgar thinks he’s funny, doesn’t he?”
“That brings back memories. Not good ones, but memories.”
At least players in Dragonflight have a clear advantage: They can choose to follow Khadgar’s servant of their own free will and don’t have to do so because a quest forces them to – unlike the 4 NPC mages.
Today, on October 12, the next weekly update for Lost Ark is released, rewarding mainly new players and those who wish to return to the MMORPG. We at MeinMMO summarize the changes for you.
What kind of update is this? Although the login rewards also end on October 12 and new ones come with the patch, as well as smaller content updates, contrary to some assumptions, this is not the monthly October update. That is yet to come.
Therefore, the weekly update is smaller than the huge September update or the upcoming November patch. Nevertheless, you shouldn’t miss the update today, as it primarily rewards those of you who are currently not actively playing Lost Ark.
Update October 13: In the original version of the article, we speculated that this update could be the October update. However, that is not the case, and the big monthly update is yet to come, as Amazon informed us.
What does the update bring? The focus of the weekly update is on the new season pass, called Ark Pass 2. It once again offers free rewards when you complete certain tasks in the game. The first Ark Pass was introduced with the April update.
There is also a premium version of the Ark Pass, which includes exclusive content and skins, for which you will have to spend real money.
Additionally, there are new login rewards for everyone, but with a special gimmick for fans who haven’t been around for a while. Completely new players and returnees receive special login rewards for the next 15 days that are truly substantial.
According to Lost Ark, you count as a returnee if you haven’t logged in even once in the last 30 days. If you belong to that group, you will receive really hefty rewards starting today after the server downtime.
These details are as follows:
Lost Ark: Server Down on October 12 – How long offline?
When will the servers go offline? As usual, the Lost Ark servers will go down at 9 AM German time and remain down for several hours. The downtime depends mostly on which of the two European servers you are playing on.
How long will the Lost Ark servers be down? EU Central will have a relatively short 4-hour downtime. EU West, however, may face up to 12 hours of server downtime. The reason for this is the merging of servers in the EU West region.
Update 1:30 PM: The EU Central region is back online and you can already play. The server Evergrace has been renamed to Vaigrys, otherwise nothing has changed there. EU West remains offline.
How large will the download be? Since new skins are coming with the Ark Pass, this also means new textures need to be downloaded, so don’t expect a tiny download.
However, it should not be too large either. We will keep you updated in this article about when the servers will be back and how large the download will ultimately be.
The September update brought, among other things, the Machinist:

Small Changes and Bug Fixes
What else does the update bring? Besides the ongoing express event and strong rewards for returnees, and of course the Ark Pass, there are only smaller changes in this update. These mainly include bug fixes and a small quality-of-life update.
This states that you will now get the gold for canceled crafting orders back on your island if you do not allow them to finish running. However, the gold you receive this way is again locked for 3 days and counts towards the held back gold, just like in trading.
Apart from that, there are only small bug fixes affecting a chat command and a cutscene. So nothing that would have stood out to you much.
What do you think of the update? Is this a reason for you to check out Lost Ark again? Or have you long since turned your back on the game irretrievably? Are you still playing actively and would like to get the rewards for returnees? Feel free to let us know in the comments here on MeinMMO.
In Genshin Impact there are many stories and long dialogues. A player does not want to go through them again on his second account and builds a machine that skips the conversations for him.
Some dialogues are more interesting than others and there are very many of them in Genshin Impact. You can let the conversations run on autoplay, but that is rather slower. It goes faster by repeatedly pressing the skip button.
The player zephyr8604 shows in a post on reddit a machine that he built himself. Ultimately, it is a mechanism that keeps pressing the same spot. If he places his controller at the right spot, his construction skips the dialogues for him. It is equipped with a type of electromagnet and he uses a program that he linked in the thread.

In the comments, he mentions that he did not build the machine out of disinterest in the story of Genshin Impact: “I want to say that I use it to skip dialogues when I start new accounts with my friends, because I don’t want to experience the dialogues multiple times,” he adds.
Players discuss auto-clicker
Some responses under the post advise the user to use an auto-clicker instead. However, that is forbidden in Genshin Impact and can lead to bans. Whether the machine of zephyr8604 is also considered an auto-clicker remains open.
This is what the users write:
EllyNelly97: “If I had to play all the quests again, I would definitely skip the dialogues too.”
NommySed: “Much less effort required: Just use an auto-clicker.”
Oztralian: “Isn’t one banned for auto-clickers because it’s third-party software?”
MagicAce3: “The man lives in 2077!”
It is also questionable whether the machine is good for his controller button. However, the user defends his construct. It does not press the button all the way down but taps it lightly. Thus, he does not cause any damage.
What do you think about the machine of the reddit user? Is it an auto-clicker, or is his construct so special that it circumvents the rules? Do long dialogues in Genshin Impact bother you? Which part of the story do you find the most interesting? Or do you skip all conversations yourself and have no interest in the story? Feel free to write it in the comments here on MeinMMO!
With PlayStation Stars, Sony has introduced a loyalty program for PlayStation. Starting today, October 13, 2022, you can also use the program in Germany. MeinMMO presents all the important information you need to know.
What is PlayStation Stars anyway? PlayStation Stars is a loyalty program from Sony for PlayStation. You collect points and digital collectibles through various actions. You can redeem the points for various items while you can showcase the collectibles. It’s an additional incentive for players who spend a lot of time in the PlayStation ecosystem.
How do I sign up? Currently, there are two ways to participate in the program. You cannot sign up directly via your PS4 or PS5, which is quite frustrating:
1st option: On the main page of the official PlayStation Store, there is a tab for PlayStation Stars. Here you log in with your PS account and follow the instructions on the screen.
2nd option: You install the PlayStation App on your phone and log in through it. Again, follow the instructions on the screen.
Which option is better? At first, we recommend the app and it has a simple reason: The rewards and ongoing campaigns from Sony can currently only be viewed through the app and not via PC. If anything changes, we will update the article.
What are these points? With the “PlayStation Stars” program, you earn points for various tasks. You can redeem these points for various rewards. It’s essentially a new digital currency on the PS4 and PS5.
How long are the points valid? Once you have earned points, they are valid for 24 months. You should redeem them in time, as they will eventually expire.
What do you earn points for? You can earn points through various actions:
By completing specific tasks or “campaigns” from PlayStation.
As a PS Plus subscriber, you receive 4% of your purchases back in points.
For pre-orders in the PS Store, you also receive points. Sony will later credit these points to your account.
What do you not earn points for?
If you buy games in the PS Store and do not have a PS Plus subscription.
If you purchase physical games, for example, on Amazon. You do not earn points for this either.
Kotaku reports that you also do not earn points for certain purchases retroactively.

Collectibles, free games, and credit – These are the rewards available
What rewards are available? The rewards that you can unlock with PlayStation Stars vary greatly. The main content of PlayStation Stars consists of digital collectibles that you can showcase in a display case. Additionally, you can collect points that you can redeem for various items. We will present the individual rewards separately:
Digital Collectibles
What is that? The digital collectibles are either earned as direct rewards for completing campaigns or through exchanging points. You can then showcase these collectibles on your profile. According to Sony, these items will not have any other utility and they are not NFTs. Thus, they are purely cosmetic items without gameplay utility. The showcased collectibles include:
The PlayStation 3
Gondolier’s Punt from Ape Escape 2
PocketStation
Toro and Kuro celebrating a birthday
and Polygon Man
What does this mean for me? We assume that Sony will also revise the players’ profile pages in the future so that users can showcase their trophies and brag about them.
A collectible: Gondolier’s Punt from Ape Escape 2
Free Games in the PS Store
What games can you buy? For certain actions, you collect points with PlayStation Stars. You can redeem these points for specific games. However, these games are pre-determined, so you cannot buy random games in the store. Currently, the following games are available:
Cult of the Lamb
Hades
It Takes Two
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
The Quarry
These games are supposed to be available until the end of 2022. Afterwards, Sony will either offer a new selection of games or expand the existing selection.
What do the games cost? The prices vary significantly. According to the online magazine Gamerant, prices start at 6,250 points for the action game Hades and go up to 17,500 points for the game The Quarry. So you cannot just buy the best game with a handful of points.
With the collected points, you can also obtain free credit for the PS Store. Instead of getting digital collectibles, you can invest your points in new games. Thanks to the credit, you are free to buy a new game, for example.
How many points do I need? The online magazine Gamerant refers to US prices. However, we assume that the prices in Germany will be similar:
For 1,250 points, you get 5 euros credit
For 5,000 points, you get 20 euros credit.
We cannot tell you how often you can redeem the points for credit. However, we assume that you can exchange points for credit multiple times. We will keep you updated when we know more.

The upcoming survival game ARK 2 is set to be included in the Game Pass for 3 years. The information comes from a filing by publisher Snail Games to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
ARK: Survival Evolved is a very popular survival game and fans of the title are eagerly awaiting the sequel. Even though the release of ARK 2 has been delayed, there are now new interesting details available.
The ARK YouTuber GP found a filing by publisher Snail Games to the SEC that gives insight into agreements between Studio Wildcard, the developers of ARK 2, and Microsoft (via YouTube).
Who is GP? GP is an ARK YouTuber with nearly 4,700 subscribers who reports on news related to ARK: Survival Evolved and ARK 2.
In June 2022, GP made headlines when he stated in a video that Studio Wildcard CEO Douglas H. Kennedy had informed him when there would be ‘plenty of new information’ available about ARK 2. When the info drop mentioned by GP occurred, there was only the release date trailer for ARK 2, which announced a delay along with the new Steam page.
If you haven’t seen the latest trailer for ARK 2 yet, we are embedding it here:

ARK 2 Trailer Release 2023
What information does the document contain? The document, which is also referenced in a report by the online magazine gamesradar.com, includes a sentence stating that ARK 2 will be included in the Game Pass for three years starting from its release (via sec.report).
You can read the relevant paragraph of the document here:
The company has also entered into a long-term title licensing agreement (‘Game Pass’) with Microsoft for a period of three years. The company recognizes deferred revenues and amortizes these revenues according to the terms of the respective contract. The agreement was originally entered into in November 2018 between the parties and is valid until December 31, 2021. The agreement was subsequently amended in June 2020 to extend the ARK 1 Game Pass indefinitely effective January 1, 2022, and to include ARK 2 in the Game Pass for three years upon release.
Furthermore, the document indicates that Microsoft paid $2.5 million to keep ARK: Survival Evolved in the Game Pass for the first half of 2022. Additionally, Microsoft is reported to have paid another $2.3 million to ensure that ARK 2 will be in the Game Pass at the time of the release of the survival title.
Alongside Microsoft, Sony is also mentioned in the document. Sony is said to have paid $3.5 million to include ARK: Survival Evolved as part of the PS Plus games in March 2022.

Ethan Gach from the American online magazine Kotaku summarizes the information on Twitter:
What do the new information mean for ARK fans? The information that ARK 2 will be included in the Game Pass is not new. However, ARK fans can look forward to the 3-year deal with Microsoft on Xbox and PC, as the subscription service allows players to test the game directly at release without having to purchase it at full price.
In contrast to ARK: Survival Evolved, ARK 2 will also feature cross-platform modding, making community-created mods available in ARK 2 on all platforms – even on Xbox consoles – and playable on unofficial servers. This was not possible in the predecessor ARK: Survival Evolved and makes the survival title even more appealing for ‘Game Pass’ subscribers.
Are there any new updates for PlayStation players? Unfortunately, there is currently no new information regarding ARK 2 for PlayStation players, and a release of the survival game for the PS4 or PS5 has not yet been announced. ARK 2 will be released exclusively for Xbox Series X|S and PC.
What do you think of the information? Do you believe Microsoft has made a good deal? Are you already looking forward to ARK 2 in the Game Pass? Feel free to let us know here on MeinMMO in the comments!
If you are still unaware of what information Studio Wildcard published about ARK 2 this summer and how gameplay will change, you can catch up on that on MeinMMO.

Hell-O-Ween is a new MMORPG that offers MOBA elements. The story takes place between Halloween and Christmas, and you must find the missing Santa Claus. The MMORPG is developed by GamerzDan, a small studio from India.
What kind of game is it? Hell-O-Ween is a free MMORPG with an unusual story. Halloween is not a festivity but a reality, which is why the world is haunted by monsters. They come from myths that become nightmares in the game’s story. You must defeat them.
The goal of the game is to find Santa Claus to restore peace. The graphics are in vibrant anime style, and with its partly funny skins, the game initially reminds you of Fortnite. Hell-O-Ween focuses on PvE, RPG elements, and MOBA-PvP like in League of Legends.
The ability to unlock additional characters during gameplay
Every character can equip all weapon types
Who is it suitable for? If you enjoy playing MMORPGs and are looking for unique settings and stories, Hell-O-Ween is the right choice for you. It seems like a cool alternative to take a break from Lost Ark and similar games.
It also appeals to fans of Halloween and Christmas. Thanks to its unique story, the MMORPG distinguishes itself from other representatives of the genre.
When will Hell-O-Ween be released? The MMORPG will be available on Steam starting October 28, 2022. So it will enter Early Access just in time for Halloween. Since it’s a beta version, there may be bugs initially. We do not currently know when Hell-O-Ween will leave Early Access.
What do you think of the MMORPG? Will you give it a try during Halloween? Are you fans of MOBA games, or does the story attract you more? Feel free to let us know in the comments here on MeinMMO!
Witchfire is an upcoming shooter that gameplay-wise resembles Destiny. Now the title has postponed its “Early Access” launch due to a single feature.
Which shooter is it about? Witchfire (PC) is a first-person shooter developed by the Polish studio The Astronauts, sending you into a war against witches. You are armed with firearms and spells. Witchfire is set to be released on the Epic Games Store.
The studio The Astronauts is known for The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and consists of former employees of People Can Fly, which released the looter shooter Outriders in 2021. The expansion Worldslayer was released in the summer of 2022.
Why should Witchfire play like Destiny? In a blog post from 2019, Creative Director Adrian Chmielarz addressed the similarities to Destiny. There, he praised the weapon behavior of the popular shooter.
Those who have been following the game have noticed a lot of Destiny in Witchfire. Fortunately, no one seems to have a problem with it… and for good reason. […] The way the weapons feel and the physics-based movement is, for me, the best there is in the business.
Chmielarz also added that Witchfire is inspired by Destiny:
Destiny takes from other games, other games take from Destiny […]. We also take from Destiny, but hopefully it will be clear that the similarities on a top level are merely superficial.
When is the release? Originally, the early access release of Witchfire was scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2022. However, at the beginning of the quarter, Creative Director Adrian Chmielarz announced that the early access launch would be postponed.
The new goal is for Witchfire to potentially start early access at the beginning of 2023. Thus, the reason for the delay he cites is the redesigning of a core feature.

Witchfire changes how players experience the world
What feature is it about? The changes affect the rogue-lite elements of the dark fantasy shooter. According to Chmielarz, Witchfire will still be a rogue-lite shooter, but the way players experience the world has significantly changed.
They have transformed the combat area from an arena restricted by barriers to a semi-open world, and this transition, according to Chmielarz, took time (via theastronauts.com).
What does combat in an arena look like? Combat in an arena restricted by barriers is known from many games. An example of this is the zones in Destiny 2, where respawns are only limited. You cannot leave such a combat area and must defeat numerous enemies or bosses within the barriers before you can proceed. Often, there is loot for players after a successful battle in such an arena.
Why was there a shift to a semi-open world? Combat in an arena made sense, according to Chmielarz, as it controlled the flow of the game, but they felt “old school”.
More freedom, but also many questions to answer
How does this change affect gameplay? Chmielarz also explained in the blog post why the semi-open world and the associated freedom make the game better. He says:
[…] You can still be caught by a witch at any point, and some doors are locked until you find a key. Also, it might be too dangerous to enter areas near a boss before you are ready. But the world is wide open for you to explore in almost any order, and you can both push forward or retreat as you wish.
Thus, a semi-open world gives players the opportunity to enter an area and possibly retreat later. However, according to Chmielarz, this raised several gameplay questions that the development team needed to solve:
Should the enemies stay in the area if the player moves away?
Should the enemies follow the player?
What if the player runs into another new area where even more monsters appear? Should both groups of monsters merge?
If so, what reward should the player receive: one from the new area, one from the old, or both?
If both, isn’t it essentially an incentive for the player to run into a cave and push enemies into a narrow corridor?
And what about players who just run amok and trigger one area after another, can the game handle a hundred enemies at once?
Should the enemies despawn or freeze behind walls?
“Hundreds of questions that needed to be answered. Hundreds of little solutions that needed to be implemented,” Chmielarz added, explaining why the redesign necessitated a delay in the release.
What do you think about the transition to a semi-open world, and do you find it reasonable that the early access launch was postponed because of it? Feel free to write it to us here on MeinMMO in the comments!

Scars of Honor is a new MMORPG in development, which visually and in content strongly resembles WoW Classic. Humans, dwarves, and elves fight together against the hostile alliance of undead and orcs. The game was announced in 2021, and now there is a new video along with information about the upcoming alpha test.
What kind of game is this? Scars of Honor will be a classic MMORPG with tab-targeting. At launch, you will have the choice of eight different races, four of which will play on the side of the “Sacred Order,” while the other four races belong to the “Domination.”
You level from level 1 to level 50. You have 10 different classes to choose from.
On the way to max level, you can already complete dungeons that are supposed to scale, both in mechanics and loot.
There will be a crafting system and player housing.
In endgame, dungeons and raids will play a major role.
There will be arena PvP, guild wars, and open-world PvP between factions.
Scars of Honor is set to become a free-to-play MMORPG that will be funded through a shop. However, the developers emphasize that this will be free from gameplay advantages such as additional bank slots and pay-to-win elements.
Where does the game currently stand? Scars of Honor is still at an early stage of development. However, the team behind the MMORPG has now released a video in which they talk about the progress and the upcoming alpha test:

New playable races, mounts, and finally quests
What have the developers achieved in recent months? In recent months, the game world has changed significantly. Content creator Kaloyan Vladimirov describes the major milestones in the video:
The two races, dwarves and undead, have been implemented.
There is now a mount system.
You no longer run underwater, but have a swimming animation – haha, New World.
There are now quests that players can complete, which was not the case during the first test in early 2022.
A group system has been introduced.
All these new features can be tested by all players in the future, provided they purchase an appropriate package.
How does the test work? The next alpha test of Scars of Honor runs from October 24 to October 30. To participate, you must financially support the game.
The cheapest package costs 9.99 euros and guarantees you access to all tests, early name reservation, a name change in the live version, as well as 20 Transmogrification Points. The more expensive package costs 29.99 and also gives you a mount, a title, and more Transmogrification Points.
However, keep in mind that the finished version of Scars of Honor will be completely free-to-play. So if you don’t want to test the MMORPG in advance, you don’t have to spend any money.
What do you think of Scars of Honor? Does the new MMORPG appeal to you? Or would you rather stick with WoW?

The TOTW 4 in FIFA 23 is now available. This time, there are some interesting cards in the Team of the Week. The chance of getting usable picks from the Weekend League is not bad at all.
When does TOTW 4 come out? TOTW 4 is now available in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team. It was introduced on Wednesday, October 12, at 19:00 and will remain for a week. By the way, on the same day the new Title Update 2 was released.
You can pull the cards from packs, but the chance of top cards is low. Additionally, you can buy them on the transfer market, although you often need many coins. How to get them is explained in our Trading Guide to FIFA 23.
Moreover, you can get them as rewards from the Weekend League, but you need to reach a certain rank.
This is the TOTW: Every week, the TOTW brings players with improved cards to Ultimate Team, who have performed strongly in real football during the week.
You can see who is in this time here.
FIFA 23: The best cards in TOTW 4 – Who is in the Team of the Week?
This is TOTW 4: The new TOTW features some interesting cards. You can see the complete overview in the graphic:
Which TOTW cards are worth it? Several cards look very useful. We present a selection of the most exciting players here:
As many as 7 cards look really good
Joao Cancelo: Cancelo is already the best left-back in the Premier League in the game, his upgrade to 89 further underscores this status.
Tomori: The AC Milan defender not only combines high speed with defense and physicality, but as an Englishman in Serie A, he can also serve as a chemistry supplier. He receives a 2-point upgrade.
Frimpong: Frimpong’s gold card was already one of the top candidates for Bundesliga teams, now he gets a strong 3-point upgrade. Especially in defense and physicality, the extra points are beneficial.
Pedri: The top talent from FC Barcelona gets an additional point and can especially shine as a playmaker in midfield. 4 stars on weak foot and skill moves make him very versatile.
Mason Mount: Mount also sees a 2-point increase. The result: a very balanced card for offense. Only defensively, the stats are significantly lacking.
Martinelli: The Arsenal winger is this week’s “Featured” card and jumps a whopping 6 points. The new 84-rated card comes with lightning-fast pace, dribbling, and four-star skills. As a Brazilian in the Premier League, he is likely to become very popular.
Luis Muriel: His gold card is a popular option in starter teams of Serie A, his TOTW card represents a good upgrade. Pace, finishing, dribbling – everything is there. He wouldn’t be the first Serie A player in TOTW who has impressed strongly in FIFA 23.
These cards alone provide good arguments to maybe give the Weekend League a try this weekend, as there are TOTW cards in the red FUT Champions rewards.
However, the other picks also look quite good. Donnarumma, for example, impresses with his very high rating (89), while the cards for Correa (85) and Bruno Guimaraes (84) have decent stats. Additionally, interesting players like Pépé (82), Valencia (81), or Modeste (82) sit on the “bench.”
