One of the voices from the game Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has finally played the RPG after having false assumptions about it.
Who feels like a fraud and why? The voice of Gustave from Expedition 33 is the actor Charlie Cox. Many of you might know him from the Marvel series Daredevil.
In Clair Obscur, he delivered a great voice performance for the character, which he supposedly only took 4 hours to complete. That’s why the actor once mentioned in an interview that he feels like a fraud

Especially since he isn’t a gamer and hasn’t played the game at all. This also led him to think for a long time that he voiced the final boss in Clair Obscur. What kept him from gaming was mainly that he doesn’t own a console.
But now, Charlie Cox finally dared to approach the game not only as a voice actor but also as a gamer, at least a little bit.
Charlie Cox is not really good
at Clair Obscur
In an interview with GamesRader+, Charlie Cox talked about his recent experience with Clair Obscur. He has played a little, walked around the initial sections, and found that he is not really good at it

Perhaps that’s partly because his last gaming experiences were almost 30 years ago. The actor lists FIFA 98 and Goldeneye 007 in the interview among others. Those are clearly very different types of video games from what Clair Obscur is. Charlie Cox himself describes the game as a movie in which you participate

Regarding the fact that Charlie Cox essentially plays himself in the RPG, he said: “It didn’t really feel like me… I didn’t really see it as myself, but as Gustave.”
