The self-proclaimed king of the internet, Jens “Knossi” Knossalla (36) is one of the biggest streamers in the German-speaking Twitch. But his heart belongs to television. Now he returns with Let‘s Dance back to the screen.
For Knossi, it has always been clear that he wanted to enter the show business. His first appearances on television were as an amateur actor in court shows, as a participant in game shows, and as a host of poker tournaments.
His last major TV appearance was probably the participation in the Wok-WM on ProSieben in November 2022. Afterwards, Knossi appeared on YouTube in the survival show 7 vs. Wild, where he surprised the audience as the least experienced participant with his perseverance.
Knossi used part of his airtime in 7 vs. Wild to talk about the current state of classic television. He spoke of his love for the medium, but also that television urgently needs to reinvent itself.
Now Knossi is returning to TV: He will be seen on the RTL show Let’s Dance.

What kind of show is this? Let’s Dance is a dance show that has been broadcast on RTL since 2006. More or less famous participants receive professional dance partners and compete against each other.
Who are the participants? In the upcoming 16th season of the series, alongside more traditional celebrities such as actresses, musicians, and comedians, there are also personalities from social media participating.
With Twitch streamer Knossi, YouTubers Sally Özcan and Julia Beautx, as well as TikToker Younes Zarou, 4 of the 13 participants already known are recognized from their internet appearances (via rtl.de).

What experience does Knossi have? For Knossi, participating after the survival struggle in tropical temperatures will likely be the next major challenge. Because until now, the entertainer’s dancing performances have mostly been limited to hopping around at Ballermann (via YouTube).

What kind of oven is this? The “Samsung Bespoke AI Oven” is a new “smart” oven designed to impress consumers with promising features. It comes equipped with lots of smart technology that allows the oven to prepare your food without any involvement from you.
The oven utilizes an integrated camera. The images are analyzed, and the oven recognizes what you want to prepare. A software determines temperature, cooking time, convection, bottom and top heat, etc.
Interestingly, Samsung has also found another use for the integrated camera. It can be used to share a livestream from the oven directly to Twitch or other social media channels.
What is the CES? The Consumer Electronics Show is one of the largest trade shows for consumer electronics, attended by experts, industry insiders, and journalists. It has been held annually in January in Las Vegas since 1998. Therefore, the CES is an important barometer that shows how the industry might develop in the coming months and years.
In addition to computers and consumer electronics, many household appliances are also showcased, and in recent years, smart home devices have played a particularly significant role. An oven with artificial intelligence and cameras is not so far-fetched.

Why is Samsung making an oven that can stream? Although Samsung aims to specifically target influencers in its promotional materials, the oven is not a product solely directed at streamers. It is much more likely that the marketing team came up with the idea of using the camera built into the oven for streaming only later.
Technically, however, Samsung offers a brilliant solution for Twitch chefs. They can easily add another perspective to their streams, providing real value.
Therefore, the product could become particularly popular among streamers. The “Just Chatting” category on Twitch has been booming for years. Many viewers enjoy cooking streams, and there are some streamers who only broadcast from their kitchens. WoW and Twitch veteran Asmongold sees it similarly, believing that the future of Twitch consists of cooking shows and reality.
So it is not too surprising that Samsung believes it can fill a market gap with its new oven.
Do you need something like this? Frozen pizza or fries in, lid down, and a few minutes later it’s served. This is the dream Samsung wants to make a reality with the new “Bespoke AI Oven”. Admittedly, this is more of a luxury problem.
Therefore, Samsung also wants to convince skeptics that the oven is able to recognize if your food is burning. Perfect for those who want to quickly make something to eat between two gaming sessions.
Despite all the great features, it is unlikely that the AI oven will soon be found in every household. This is probably also due to the price, which is still unknown. However, it will probably not be cheap.

What are IRL streams? This type of stream takes place “in real life”. While streamers like MontanaBlack often stream from their dark gaming caves, IRL streamers are out and about, showing themselves in everyday situations.
This may sound harmless, but it is quite dangerous: so-called stream snipers often try to locate a streamer and disrupt the stream. There can also be confrontations with complete strangers.
What kind of stream was it? In a stream from January 2, justketh was at the pool of her hotel. An incident occurred with another hotel guest.
This guest invited the streamer to sit with him by the pool. He allegedly made a sexually suggestive gesture that upset justketh. She tried to continue her stream but was disturbed again.
The man approached the streamer and demanded that she “shut up”; he was trying to relax and felt disturbed. justketh moved away from the annoyed guest, stating she had things to do.
As she was leaving, she shouted back at him that he was a damn idiot; the man then turned around and followed the streamer. When she explained the situation to the hotel staff, the guest reappeared in the background, apparently throwing her equipment left by the pool on the ground.

What happened after the incident? At the suggestion of her viewers, justketh went to the police and reported the man. He was subsequently arrested. Another clip shows the streamer on her way to the station to give her statement; the hotel guest can be seen in the background wearing handcuffs.
As justketh informs her viewers, the troublemaker was supposed to pay a fine, which he could not pay due to bank problems. Consequently, he had to spend the night in jail.

What perspectives are there? An online discussion quickly arose in reaction to the recordings. There are very different viewpoints. justketh portrays the situation as follows: The man became angry after she rejected his advances.
But some viewers see the situation differently: The hotel guest felt disturbed because he was filmed against his will. On reddit, where the clip is discussed in the LivestreamFail subreddit, it is said, for example, that the situation was “weird all around”.
Although the man’s behavior was inappropriate, it was also inappropriate to stream at a hotel pool. Many people would likely have a problem being filmed in such a situation (via reddit).
In a series of posts on Twitter, justketh spoke about the incident. She said she did not intentionally film the man but merely positioned her camera to show her jump into the pool. He had no problem with it and even smiled at her.
It was only when she rejected him that he became aggressive.
justketh was not deterred from her IRL streams by the incident and continues to share the rest of her vacation in the Thai city of Pattaya with her viewers.
Since IRL streams were introduced as a category on Twitch in 2016, they have repeatedly led to problems in public. The probably most controversial IRL streamer Ice Poseidon was permanently banned from Twitch in 2017 after one of his streams resulted in a bomb threat.
Warhammer has announced a new official series in the 40k universe, but this time without Henry Cavill. Pariah Nexus is set to launch on the premium service Warhammer+ in 2023. MeinMMO editor Benedict Grothaus, as a fan of the franchise, is thrilled, especially because the trailer highlights factions that usually receive little attention.
No idea what’s going on right now. When the Dragon Age series Absolution was announced in November, I was already more excited than with Arcane. At that point, I was certain: it could only get better if Warhammer nerd Henry Cavill (Superman, The Witcher) eventually becomes the star in a Warhammer series.
Now Warhammer has ANNOUNCED yet another series: Pariah Nexus, an animated series. And it also fulfills my remaining wishes that have been left open in recent weeks.

Divine warrior-nuns and undead robots in the spotlight
The main role in Pariah Nexus is played by a mismatched crew from the units of the Imperium as protagonists and the Necrons as their opponents. Specifically: the trailer shows an Adepta Sororitas and an imperial guardswoman in lead roles.
Since I can imagine that half of you would look at me with a blank expression, I’ll briefly explain what all these foreign words actually mean.
Necrons are, broadly speaking, space zombies. The mechanical species resembles ancient Egypt in terms of its appearance, architecture, and fantasy, but with Gauss cannons and bodies made of nearly indestructible metal. Necrons play a larger role in 40k, but that would exceed the scope of this discussion. Therefore, I refer you to the German Warhammer Wiki.
Adepta Sororitas are basically the fanatical branch of the church of the Imperium, which consists (almost) exclusively of women. The warrior nuns are “only” humans, but their faith in the Emperor grants them almost divine powers such as protection from bullets and fanatical zeal in battle.

However, typical for Warhammer, they are not just obedient nuns. Those who do not obey are punished. My favorite toy of the Sororitas: the “Penitent Engine.” Heretics are strapped in front of an armed walker unprotected and armorless, pumped full of drugs, and sent to the front. This means: the heretic survives even serious injuries, but feels the pain and survives only as long as the will of the Emperor allows.
The Sororitas and the Necrons are my favorite factions in the 40k universe, which I primarily played in the older strategy games of the franchise. To see them now in a series makes me simply happy, even though I still don’t know exactly what roles they will play.
Warhammer 40k finally without pumped-up superhumans
The fact that Sororitas and Necrons are my favorite factions is not the only reason for my joy. Even if Tyranids and Tau or Dark Eldar had played the sole lead role, I would still have been quite satisfied.
Because Warhammer 40k primarily revolves around the idea of Space Marines (“Astartes”). These are literally bred men with a body that would make Arnold Schwarzenegger in his prime look pale in comparison and absurd superhuman abilities.
Some Space Marines can detect poison by taste, have multiple hearts or lungs, bulletproof bones made of a kind of titanium, and are easily over 2 meters tall. They owe this to the “gene-seed” of their Primarchs, the absolute superhumans that the “Big Daddy” Emperor himself has bred.
Sure, cool … if you see it once or twice. However, the Space Marines are the flagship of Warhammer 40k, and there are countless books, games, and more about these crazy characters.
While Space Marines also appear in Pariah Nexus, they are not the main focus. The fact that the series remembers that there are other creatures in the world is excellent! But it also makes me a bit sad.
Actually, I prefer Warhammer Fantasy to the sci-fi world of 40k. Nevertheless, Warhammer 40,000 has some of my favorite video games of all time, including Dawn of War, what I consider the best real-time strategy game of all time.
However, Dawn of War has unfortunately never been as good since the first part, which was released in 2004. The second part of the series had completely different mechanics, no real base building anymore, and more restrictions.
Part 3 was better again but didn’t last long. Only a few months after release, the game was shut down: The game was released in April 2017, a proud 8 years after part 2. Development was discontinued in February 2018. You can still play, but no new content or patches are coming. This is particularly bitter because the Necrons were already confirmed as the first DLC but never arrived.
Back then, I was happy to get at least some progress with Dawn of War 3 over the second part. Here is the announcement trailer that excited me:

Dawn of War is a series that deserves more attention, and I wish for a remaster or a fourth part. To see my two favorite factions now in the series is at least a small consolation.
So it doesn’t bother me much that I have to pay extra for it. Because Pariah Nexus will only be available on Warhammer+, a premium service that costs €5.49 monthly or €54.99 annually.
If the series is released with weekly episodes, I will probably wait until it is all available and then watch it on a weekend. I still don’t know how long the individual episodes will be.
However, I hope that there is indeed more substance here than in Dragon Age: Absolution. That only lasted 3 hours and definitely made me eager for more:
In December, an alleged subscription service leak made the rounds in Destiny 2. Dug up by well-known data miners, it spread quickly in the community, which was not pleased about it. But now it has become known that all the excitement was unnecessary: It was all just fake!
What leak are we talking about? At the end of December, Elliott, a known Destiny 2 data miner, shared via his Discord the information that he had discovered hints of a “Premium Subscriptions” model from Bungie in the game data of Destiny 2.
It reminded of the subscription payment models that one knows from MMORPGs like The Elder Scrolls Online or Final Fantasy XIV. However, since the plans had not been implemented yet, it was initially suspected to be a “test attempt” by Bungie to change Destiny 2’s payment model in the future.
Destiny 2 currently also offers separate season purchases or the annual pass model.
However, the Destiny 2 community was not pleased about this alleged new and secret information at all. Some found the idea of a subscription model fundamentally not bad, but the majority was simply angry and reacted accordingly toxically.
For example, the user TricksterClown on MeinMMO writes: “Then the game will finally die. No one will want DLCs anymore, why should they if they have everything with a subscription?”
And the MeinMMO reader Tronic48 would, if such a subscription model were to come, even stop playing completely: “If Bungie actually considers a subscription (and it doesn’t matter how much it should cost), I’ll be the first not to play Destiny 2 anymore. After such a long time and loyalty, I certainly won’t do that.”
All just faked: The discussion took toxic turns again in the already strained Destiny 2 community and brought many players to place Bungie alone in the spotlight for the idea. In reality, it was all just a fake by the data miners. There was never a plan for a new subscription model in Destiny 2. It was meant to be “just a joke”.

Data miner Elliot admits to major error in subscription leak
Leak sows distrust and anger among Destiny 2 players: The new leak exploded overnight and turned the original joke into a serious matter. Players announced they would leave the game because of it and directly vented their frustration at Bungie.
Only in the new year, several days later, did the data miner admit: It was all just a joke and was only meant to make the community think about such a subscription model. However, the community found that anything but funny. Elliot had to admit that his December joke did not work as planned.
In an initial statement on his Discord server, Elliot stated: “Actually, we wanted to let the thing just continue, but since it has become so big and people outside the server are worried, we wanted to apologize formally and admit that we all trolled.”
Later, however, he revised this statement and wrote:
“[…] It was really immature of me to allow the fabricated leak to go so far and to spread outside of the Discord server. I take full responsibility for my actions and should not have used my platform in this way. Regardless of whether it was a joke or not. I feel pretty terrible and I apologize to anyone who is still upset about it.

In the end, his leak only led to a negative mood against the Destiny 2 data miners and a loss of trust. Especially since he usually provided factual and correct information before that.

If you know how the system works and have already leveled up, you can apparently collect about 300 points or more a day.
How many Overwatch coins can I collect? A package with 200 Overwatch coins costs 1,800 points in Microsoft Rewards. On reddit, a player explained that he can collect around 1,000 Overwatch coins in a month:

What was the last information about Bellatores? The last sign of life from the developer ANU/AndYou was five months ago, and the last news on Bellatores was even eight months ago: it was released in April 2022. Aside from some alleged investments, the studio has nothing to show for it.
Even the latest announcement from the developers regarding the MMORPG announces new investments. The website states that the studio received an investment of 30 billion Korean won, equivalent to about 22.3 million euros (via nyouinc.com).
Previously, the development studio of Bellatores was said to have received investments of about 7.2 million euros and 14.8 million euros. Therefore, the total amount of investments would be over 44 million euros.

What do fans say about the developers’ silence? Even though not much is known about the MMORPG yet, there is a small group of fans who are already looking forward to Bellatores. However, the lack of new information worries them, as can be read on a fan Discord of the game.
Every few weeks or months, server members ask if there are new updates or a release date. One disappointed fan says he is somewhat skeptical about the MMORPG, while another hopes it won’t be canceled.
Already in September, a fan estimated that Bellatores would also not release in 2022. This turned out to be true. Whether and when Bellatores will still release, or what will happen to the collected money, remains to be seen.

MeinMMO editor Benedict Grothaus is looking forward to the upcoming Diablo 4. Just the thought of Lilith years ago created excitement that still lasts today. Many fans are also anticipating the game and pondering what might come. One theory is currently being discussed.
In a tiny thread on reddit, the user Tesdey explains that he believes he knows the Lord of Terror will appear in Diablo 4 – the namesake Diablo himself. He was already in charge during parts 1 to 3, at least in the main games.

Diablo is dead – Let Lilith and Inarius live
The Diablo series follows a seemingly clear pattern of good and evil, which players should be able to assign at least superficially. Angels are good, demons are evil, so we beat up the nasty foes.
Diablo has always made this very clear as an antagonist. The big villain seemed to have only terror, death, and destruction on his mind and did not tire of mentioning it. Perfect for mindless hack’n’slay gameplay, after all, you don’t want to think about whom you are currently beheading.
However, reality is not so black and white. Angels can, from a moral standpoint, be quite evil, or at least willing to sacrifice lives for their goal. This was already seen with Malthael in Diablo 3 or, historically much earlier, with Inarius. And also with Lilith.
Diablo offers a much greater depth from the story than the gameplay initially suggests. And Diablo 4 should please utilize this:
I love Diablo, both the series and the character. I even use the female form from Diablo 3 as my avatar in Battle.net, and the Lord of Terror was one of my mains in Heroes of the Storm. But Diablo as a character is played out – from my perspective.
Lilith and Inarius, on the other hand, offer such great potential that should not be wasted. But if Diablo appears as the theory claims, the angel and the demoness would be directly “burned,” without being fully realized.

A small excursion into history explains why Inarius and Lilith deserve more than “just” 4 chapters (or less) in a new Diablo entry. Inarius and Lilith are responsible for the entire world. They created Sanctuary and the Nephalem. Without them, we would not be these powerful beings we are allowed to play today.
Inarius saw it as a danger and wanted to wipe out the Nephalem. Lilith wanted to protect her children. Historically speaking, we should actually want to ally with Lilith and overthrow Inarius.
At the same time, both also wanted to exploit the Nephalem for their own goals. They weave their own intrigues, and it is hard to say how much genuine affection or fear actually speaks from them.
Lilith and Inarius have so many facets that they deserve to be described in detail. One game alone will not do them justice.
Historically, they have done more for the creation of the world of Diablo than the namesake Lord of Terror. Even though the main game takes at least 180 hours to reach max level, there is enough potential for more stories behind it. Faction wars, new features, something along those lines.
No one would likely miss Diablo anyway. For those who play Diablo for the gameplay, it probably does not matter who they are hitting, if they even read the mob names. But lore nerds like me would be delighted by such details in the story. Let’s just hope that the fan theory is incorrect.

Starkeepers is an indie MMO from developer Wolfpack Games, set to be released in 2023. It focuses on cooperative player activities and allows you to organize clans as if you were Vikings.
What kind of game is this? In Starkeepers, you create a character, turning into a beast. Then you enter a mythologically inspired fantasy world where you can decide what you want to do.
What’s special is that there are no fixed classes. You gain skills from relics and customize your abilities individually. Additionally, players seem to be able to embody different heroes to use other skills. We currently do not know how the class system works.
Build a city and defend it
Together with other players, you form a clan and build a city – your own Starkeep. You must protect it from other players. You use crafting to expand and arm it further. The gameplay is reminiscent of the MMO Tribes of Midgard, where you have to protect your village with 10 players.
The focus of Starkeepers seems to be on PvP. A clan that takes over a territory can rule over it. Players are supposed to be able to establish their own rules and hierarchies.
Furthermore, the MMO offers an action-packed combat system. You can learn many skills, perform double jumps, roll on the ground, and block attacks from your opponents.
