According to an insider, the team has officially filed a complaint with ESL because they felt they were mocked too harshly in a Twitch stream. ESL casters had mocked the CS:GO team (Steam) of Evil Geniuses.
What kind of “particularly cool” team is this?
Evil Geniuses (EG) is a US-based esports organization that competes in esports games such as CS:GO, DOTA, or LoL.
The organization has been around since 1999 – it is based in Seattle. The team has a glorious history: in 2015, they won The International in DOTA. In 2018, they took the championship in Call of Duty. In the spring of 2022, they became the US LoL champions.
Essentially, the organization wants to appear “casual” and “evil.” For example, in LoL they have made fun of the competition with Twitter clips: “ Evil Geniuses, indeed.

Counter-Strike 2: Trailer – The New Smoke
This was the incident: As reported by US journalist Richard Lewis (via richardlewis), an incident occurred in an official ESL CS:GO Twitch stream on February 24. In a segment meant to be funny, 4 casters made fun of several teams in the league. Among other things, they improvised lines that one would never hear at an Evil Geniuses bootcamp.

What was supposed to be the problem? As Lewis reports, citing ESL sources, EG’s management was so angry about these remarks that they filed an official complaint with ESL. It is said that the team perceived the jokes as “damaging to the brand.”
In the segment, other teams such as FaZe or Outsiders were also mocked, but only Evil Geniuses officially filed a complaint.

He follows the Norse faith – it is notoriously difficult to reform the faith because you need 3 “holy sites” for that, and they are firmly in enemy hands.
He is “Norse” but has little chance of becoming the head of culture – first, he would have to get past the Swede from Björn Ironside.
With his bastard line, he has little prospects of becoming the head of his own dynasty – and that is actually what you want to do, to steer the fate of your dynasty.
Normally, Dyre is doomed to spend his next 50 years far from the action, somewhere in the wilderness. While his relatives rampage, plunder, and burn all over England, he is stuck in the east.
In “normal games,” he is usually overrun by cavalry hordes from the east and has little impact on the course of the game – but that is supposed to change under our rule.
Was the character real? Yes, at least a similar character existed at that time in Kyiv. Historically, Dyre didn’t even live to be 40 years old. He governed Kyiv for a few years but was killed in 882 by Oleg the Wise.
Whether the historical figure was really the son of Halfdan and thus a grandson of Ragnar is not really clear. After all, that was 1150 years ago – the boundaries between history and myth have become severely blurred over such a long time.
This is Jarl Dyre – he is a semi-historical figure. In real history, he died in 882 – just 15 years after the start of Crusader Kings 3. We will make something more of him.
This is how I become a man-eating Viking in 50 years
These are our goals:

Ideally, we want to create the “Kingdom of Mann and the Isles” – a kind of fantasy Viking kingdom, for that we must become a “Living Legend” and be a Viking. What are the first steps? So we start in 867 in Kyiv and want to get away as quickly as possible:

With the faith from the pilgrimage, we will divorce the current wife and seek a better match (with genetically inheritable traits – ideally a genius or at least a clever woman).
We will constantly host hunts and feasts; we need every prestige point to build our army and become a “Living Legend.”
With the 1st jump, we go to Lübeck – from there we will attack the King of Scotland: We have about double the men as he does. Also: We are Vikings and he is not.
From exile back into action, into the Highlands of Scotland
This is how world domination begins: To reach the action in England, we need to make a jump: we declare war on the chief of Lübeck, seize one of his two provinces, and move the red flag there.
From Lübeck, we go north into Scotland with the “Varangian Adventure.” We will take the 6 provinces in Moray – and give up the previous provinces for them. They would only distract us from the action anyway.

This should take about 3 years, and we are now a duchy with 7 lands – all still tribal.
About 4 years after the game starts, we own 6 counties in Scotland and have already gathered the first people in the council: Above all, the Marshal and Steward need to be quickly replaced with people from 20+ backgrounds. Later, this will be done by the own children.
Establish a new culture and own religion
How do we proceed from here? The goal now is to become a “Living Legend” and a Viking in the next roughly 45 years, then we can create the Kingdom of Mann. Additionally, the faith needs to be reformed.
First, however, we need our own culture to explore Onagers: We will assign our steward to Ulster and let him foster “cultural acceptance”: Thanks to Norse traits, we only need 20% acceptance, then we can establish a hybrid culture, “Norse-Gaelo,” and spread it. As long as that runs, war against Irish people is taboo: Because that will only set us back.
With “Norse-Gaelo”, it is important to keep the origin as “North Germanic” – so that the special establishment of the islands remains possible.
It is also essential that we do not form a kingly title – one can open duchies but must not distribute them, otherwise, the dukes will become independent.
When in Scotland, one can persuade Papa Halfdan or Uncle Ivar to form an alliance – that gives support. When the two die, we will target their descendants.
This is a good combo for the first own culture: You can continue to utilize Viking units, create ports early, and develop women into shield-maidens: In later generations, the culture can also be further developed and adapted.
This is done on the side: You now mainly need to collect prestige and plunder to become a “Viking.” Keep in mind that Dyre himself leads his plundering army. You should also participate in every feast and hunt.
As “easy” targets, if you get bored and want to conquer something, the 3 islands north of our position and Iceland are first choices. You can leave these to your sons as counties (each son gets all the counties of a duchy).
Once authority is a bit expanded, you will acquire the “Prophet” skill with the education lifestyle to reform the faith.
The trickiest wars are for the 3 “holy cities”: I recommend “North Riding” when Halfdan is dead, and Prandheim in Scandinavia – as easy prey.
An important milestone target: After plundering 40 or 50 cities, we will become a true Viking.
What’s next? Once you have created your new culture and faith, you can begin to conquer Ireland and further consume Scotland – but be careful not to consume so much that you create another kingly title upon your death:
You can take 7 lands in Ireland: Ulster and Connacht are good options.
From Scotland, you can nibble off Moray, the Isles, Strathclyde, and perhaps Lothian – as long as Scotland itself remains a kingly title with the region around Gowrie.
Deheuenbarth in Wales is always a good target.
You should also get the Northern Isles and Iceland in the North – including Uppland and Prandheim in Scandinavia.
You can also start taking pieces out of England: About Cornwall or East Anglia – you definitely need York.
Showdown in Eastern Sweden over the supremacy of the faith
This is the decisive war: The decisive war is for the 3rd province, “Uppland” in Eastern Sweden – you have to take on Björn Ironshield or his descendants. It will be a duel at eye level.
For this, one should forge many alliances, demand favors, and call up mercenary armies – it will be tough.
Around the year 900, the dynasty should stand. After all, the other descendants of Ragnar count towards our house, which we then hopefully lead.
You will become “The Great and Terrible”
This is how it looks at the end: By the mid-60s, you should become a “Living Legend” and conquer the king of the islands. The exciting part here is that the otherwise insignificant island “Mann” is being built up so powerfully, receiving a total of 8 building slots and an army of 7500 Vikings.
You will also receive the nickname “The Great and Terrible” as a man-eating Viking; you are the stuff of children’s nightmares in the Middle Ages.
Additionally, you should then have a number of good descendants ruling over parts of England.
The “Isle of Man” will become the central place of the British Isles – not Dublin or London.
How should the faith look? Most players in Crusader Kings 3 reform the “Christian faith”: When you reform the Norse faith, you get a really malevolent ability with “Bellicosity,” with which you will subjugate everyone for a long time.
I also recommend “Community Integration” to spread the culture more easily – and maybe “Ritual Cannibalism” – this makes eating useful against stress. And “Dread” remains consistently high when you are constantly eating prisoners.

What can go wrong with this play style? Crusader Kings 3 is a highly dynamic game. Therefore, many things can go wrong. Even the best plan can fail if the ruler dies of disease or falls victim to some absurd assassination attempt:
Typical problems with an aggressive play style, like the one depicted, are:
Children die when you assign them as counts to expand the domain limit: young counts either die in battles or during sieges. One must watch out to always have many champions or manually forbid dynasty members from fighting in armies.
I had the problem that a brilliant second-born son, who was the “heir” of many duchies, was now ruled by the babies of fallen brothers. But the dude kept killing babies and accumulating inherited counties. That’s what happens when you raise them to be cannibals.
In general, one should avoid conquering so much that one receives more than one kingly title or that further king titles are automatically created after Dyre’s death. Otherwise, troubles will arise during inheritance. The actual expansion of the realm should only be addressed when one can become emperor of Alba in the same generation.
Prisoners are welcome to stay for lunch… as the main course.
The decisive and most difficult phase comes just when one is at the goal of dreams and has declared oneself king:
One switches from tribal duchy to feudal kingdom – perhaps one has to disband the army to save gold.
By then, Jarl Dyre will soon bite the dust – hence it is important to handle the inheritance: By distributing duchies and disinheriting, one ensures that one has only one heir – with whom one can continue to play.
But militarily, hardly anything can stop you for the next hundred years.
If you want to take it easy, take your time conquering until you can give a new county to an “adult descendant” – it’s best to choose a suitable wife for him beforehand. In the meantime, you can go plundering for a couple more rounds.

A company has purchased old drilling wells to operate a crypto mine using the remaining gas. While this may be efficient, the side effects are driving neighbors crazy over a wide area.

The residents of Elk County, Pennsylvania, have complained about a loud, unpleasant humming coming from an abandoned natural gas source. A company has likely purchased these holes and converted them into a crypto mining facility.
However, this causes several problems. Above all, the high noise level produced by these machines is troubling the people. According to authorities, these noises can be heard in many municipalities in the vicinity.

Why is it so loud? The process used by the company is called “Wellhead Mining”: Here, a motor is directly connected to the old oil or gas source. The motor then uses the reserves from the borehole to provide energy for the crypto mine. This means that the municipal power grid is no longer needed.
The problem is that these motors are quite large and correspondingly loud. Therefore, the machines can still be heard from a considerable distance. And this is what residents of several municipalities who can perceive the humming are now complaining about. Day and night.

A Vexed Form of the Escalation Protocol
How to find the event? First of all, the event with the “Vex Strike Force” is well concealed and really rare. If you want to discover it, you have to look very carefully, because it initially looks like an inconspicuous, normal Public Event on the map.

Now you either need a lot of patience or a bit of luck. It is not uncommon for Guardians to report that they have not even discovered or played this event since the start of Lightfall on February 28, 2023.
The Destiny editorial team at MeinMMO had a waiting time of over an hour during their first attempt to catch the event. And this, even though Bungie recently increased the spawn rate of the event.

The power level rating of the enemies is 1,810 and is subject to the Open World penalty of Neomuna. Players cannot overlevel and thereby trivialize the event.
Consequently, those who want the loot almost certainly need the help of other Guardians or their fireteam to succeed.

What kind of update is this? This is a small client patch to fix some issues from the first beta phase of Diablo 4. Here are the patch notes:
Fixed issues with the world boss spawn timer
Sometimes the queue did not show a time despite still being in the queue
In general, the queue times are expected to be more accurate
The quest “In Her Wake” did not always progress correctly
Players with 16 GB of RAM were not always able to use “High Texture Settings”
Sometimes challenges showed no progress even though they were already completed
Removed reasons for game crashes
Console only: Couch co-op players could not join during the prologue

In the patch notes, the officials thank the community for participating in the first beta phase. They appreciate the patience – especially at the start of the beta when there were long queues and many crashes.
This is part of the development process and is meant to ensure that the next beta launch runs more smoothly, and ideally there will be no server issues at release.
In the second week of the beta, the Druid and the Necromancer will be added to the game. Then all release classes can be tested. The pre-order beta only offered three of the five classes.
In South Korea, League of Legends is firmly in the hands of the “greatest player of all time”, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok. He and his team T1 won the Spring Split of the LCK with 17-1. Even more impressive: They won every single award that the LCK has to offer. This has never been achieved by any team in South Korea before.
How have Faker and T1 been doing recently?
Actually, it looked like in 2022 that Faker could finally win the long-desired 4th world championship title after 5 weaker years. Faker now has an excellent team at T1, especially the brilliant young supporter, Keria, is increasingly becoming a revelation.
In spring 2022, T1 became champions in Korea again after a long break, and in summer 2022, they at least finished second behind the strong arch-rival Gen G.
As the Worlds approached, T1 looked like the sure title candidate, eliminating strong competition from China, only for Faker to ultimately lose in the finals against his old school friend Deft and miss out on title number 4.
This is how 2023 has gone so far: The regular season in South Korea has just concluded:
T1 won 17 matches, losing only one against Hanwha Life. Of the 43 matches played, they dropped 8 matches.
The team comes off a 13-game win streak, confidently taking the 1st place in the regular season and is now considered the favorite to win the Spring Split in South Korea.
With a KDA of 6.9, Keria leads the LCK statistics. Gumayusi (5.1), Oner (4.8), and Faker (4.3) are also among the top 20.

All T1 Players Make it into the ALL-LCK Team – No One Before Them Has Achieved This
This is the special achievement: T1 won all the awards at the ceremony at the end of the regular season:
All 5 players of T1 were chosen for the “1st All Pro” team, which no team in South Korea before them has managed to do.
Additionally, the supporter Keria was also voted MVP and awarded “Player of the Split”. Each of the 5 players receives 2 million won, which is about $1,500.
In the 2nd team, players like Peanut, Chovy, and Deft were included.
As Dexerto knows, only G2 in Europe has managed to fill all 5 positions in the “All Pro” team even in international comparison, which was in their glorious season in 2019 when they nearly became world champions.
In South Korea, where the competition is even tougher, and so many excellent players work together in great teams, T1’s achievement is unmatched. It is also questionable whether any team will manage to do this again.
How Are the Best Players Selected? There is a vote in which about 40 people are involved, including team managers, casters, analysts, and reporters. They chose the 5 players from T1.
