Throne and Liberty is a new MMORPG that is set to be released in 2023 for PC and console. With its graphics and massive battles, it has garnered a lot of attention. However, there will be no classes in the game. You will use various weapons for your skills. We summarize what these will be in this article.
How does the combat system work? Throne and Liberty features a tab-target combat system. However, you can target enemies and keep them in sight, so you do not have to aim your skills. The long animations make the battles seem somewhat static.
Your skills are determined by the weapons. Theoretically, each character can wield any weapon, similar to New World. In combat, it is also possible to switch between two different weapon sets. One weapon is wielded while the other is visible on your back.
What weapons are there? The developers have not officially commented on this yet. However, we have looked through all trailers and videos of the game and selected all the weapons that were used by playable characters. It is possible that more weapons will be introduced or that previously shown weapons will be removed by release.

What melee weapons are there? Melee fighters have access to several weapons:
A two-handed sword with a jumping attack towards enemies. Additionally, there is a parry that – with correct timing – knocks enemies back.

What ranged and magical weapons are there? A two-handed staff was shown in the Director’s Preview with which you can create electric attacks and lightning. It is also seen that rain allows attacks to hit multiple targets, while in sunshine only one enemy is attacked. This is due to the dynamic weather system.
Another magical weapon is a one-handed staff along with a tome in the second hand.
A bow is also already known, with which you can shoot arrows at enemies from a great distance. Here, the wind is supposed to play a role, potentially increasing the speed of the arrows. There will also be an ability that allows you to jump backwards away from enemies.
A weapon with medium range seems to be the crossbow, with one being held in each hand. This fires arrows at a rapid frequency.

What other weapons might there be? Videos also show a one-handed axe and a two-handed axe. It is unclear whether these are wielded by players or NPCs.
Will there be a Holy Trinity? There are conflicting statements about this. Initially, it was said that Throne and Liberty would rely on a Holy Trinity of tank, healer, and DPS. Recently, however, it was stated that each weapon will provide offensive and defensive abilities, allowing players to roam the world without teammates.
It is quite possible that the new MMORPG from NCSoft will ultimately be oriented towards Guild Wars 2, where – at least in the base game – there was no Holy Trinity and each player had to keep themselves alive through evasive roles and healing skills.

However, following a controversy surrounding a demonstration, both skins are no longer available in CoD Warzone, and streamer DrDisrespect is deleting the game.

On May 31, Activision Blizzard released two skin bundles for €20 each for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and CoD Warzone. The bundles were inspired by two of the biggest streamers related to Warzone: Nickmercs (Twitch) and TimTheTatman (YouTube).
However, just a few days later, a controversy arose surrounding Nickmercs, who had made comments on Twitter regarding an LGBTQ demonstration outside a school, stating: “They should leave the little children alone. That is the real problem.” The tweet received 15 million views on Twitter and sparked outrage.
This was DrDisrespect’s reaction: YouTube streamer DrDisrespect was very upset about how Activision Blizzard treated Nickmercs. He called the behavior “Pathetic”.
According to DrDisrespect, he will no longer play Call of Duty until Activision publicly apologizes to Nickmercs and reinstates the skin bundle:

Although each of the 5 classes in Diablo 4 plays completely differently, experienced players say that starting from level 70, each of them relies on 2 effects. Without these, a build would not be competitive. MeinMMO explains vulnerability and ‘Unstoppable.’
What are these effects?
In Diablo 4, there are abilities that make you unstoppable or make enemies vulnerable.
If you do without them, you are putting stones in your own way, says the community. The effects are far too strong – and that is a problem.
That’s why the effects are so important: Due to vulnerability, you deal more damage to enemies. This alone is a reason why many builds rely on the effect. One of the strongest builds for the Necromancer is even completely built around the effect.
You can find equipment that brings multipliers for vulnerability. This means: You deal significantly more damage to vulnerable enemies, so that the numbers can go into the millions overall. Since vulnerability already causes more damage, the effect is its ‘own multiplier.’
Skills that make you unstoppable remove control effects like ‘frozen’ and ‘stunned’. This is especially important at higher levels and in most endgame activities like Nightmare Dungeons. If an enemy stuns you there and you can’t prevent it, you are as good as dead.
Anyway, good defense is indispensable later in the game. Many players only rely on armor, as it is the best defensive stat. Everything else is hardly worth it. According to the players, this has major disadvantages.

“Everyone has to play the meta”
In several threads on Reddit and also in the forum, players complain that they are forced to incorporate both effects into their builds. This greatly restricts their build diversity. Everything that is not meta can be forgotten directly.
A very prominent example is the Sorceress. She has very few abilities that reliably cause vulnerability or make you unstoppable:
Frostnova is the only skill that makes enemies 100% vulnerable
Teleport and Fire Shield are the only skills that guarantee to make you unstoppable
Deep Freeze even makes you invulnerable, but also binds you in place
According to players, this leads to almost every build for Sorceresses needing 3-4 of the possible 6 skills for defensive abilities. From there, you can still vary one or two spells – typically the ultimate skill and one for main damage.
Builds that are based on the Fire Hydra can be forgotten right away. Abilities like Ice Shard and Fire Wall are so much stronger in comparison that you knowingly hinder yourself if you don’t level them up.
This only affects players who want to achieve a lot, and that wouldn’t be a problem. However, you are forced to eventually play at World Tier 4. World Tier 3 only scales up to level 70. And without vulnerability and ‘unstoppable’, you are pretty quickly in trouble there.

What changes does Reddit want to make? To enjoy Reddit on mobile without annoying ads, many users rely on third-party apps, such as Infinity for Android or Apollo for iOS. These exist only because Reddit grants them access.
But that might be coming to an end, as a fee will be charged for access to the data. And it’s so high that it will drive out third-party apps (via Kotaku).
This will force mobile app users to read directly on Reddit, without switching to other apps. This annoys not only the users but especially the moderators of the subreddits.
What is the community upset about? Users are disturbed by numerous ads while reading, which could be avoided using apps like Apollo. But that’s not all; these apps also offer practical moderation tools (via Kotaku).
After the initial announcement, Reddit moderators joined forces and planned a protest.
What is happening on Reddit? On June 12, numerous subreddits will be set to private mode. This means that people who do not follow the subreddits will not have access to them. So far, more than 4,800 subreddits have joined.

When will the subreddits work again? The subreddit for Steam speaks of a two-day protest, from June 12 to June 14. Others only specify June 12 as the timeframe. Whether the protest will last longer on most subreddits remains to be seen.
A moderator from the Steam subreddit writes as an explanation:
Some will return after 48 hours, while others will disappear permanently unless the issue is adequately resolved. Many moderators can no longer perform their duties due to the poor tools in the official app. We do not make this decision lightly. We do what we do because we love Reddit and firmly believe that this change will make it impossible to do what we love.
The two-day shutdown is not the goal and not the end. If by the 14th there are no signs that Reddit intends to fix what they have broken, we will use the community and the attention we’ve built up by then as a tool for further action.

Quixoticry9 explains that Alomomola was likely fighting with the Swampert moveset but using Alomomola’s stats. “It felt like a 1-star raid and it started with half health. I assume it’s Alomomola’s full HP compared to the health bar of Swampert.” The player found the raid via the Campfire app.
