XDefiant is set to become the major CoD competitor from Ubisoft, yet the shooter hope has postponed the release once again.
What kind of game is it?
XDefiant is an upcoming arena shooter from Ubisoft, in which you can play factions from various Ubisoft titles – including, for example, the Freedom Fighters from Far Cry 6 or the Cleaners from The Division.
In XDefiant, you compete against other players in various PvP modes such as Domination and Payload.
Gameplay-wise, XDefiant features intuitive weapon handling with low recoil as well as comparatively fast movement. Additionally, you can modify your weapons with attachments.
XDefiant is set to be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
This is what we know about the postponement: Ubisoft has postponed the release of XDefiant to October 9. However, no new release date has been mentioned (via Twitter).
In a statement from September 11, 2023, it was said that the release was planned for mid to late September or early to mid-October – depending on whether some final fixes are needed. On September 29, a final public test followed.
No official release date was given at that time either.
Why is there still hope? A few days before the postponement was announced, a leak emerged that spoke of a release on October 28, 2023. According to the leaker, a launch event is planned for that day (via Twitter).
The question now is whether October 28 was established as the release date before or after the public announcement of the postponement.
Since the release in the statement from September 11 was intended for early to mid-October, a release on October 28 would already be a postponement – there is hope that the leak is still current and XDefiant will be released in October. However, you shouldn’t rely on it.
Why was the release postponed? As Mark Rubin, Executive Producer at Ubisoft and the head of XDefiant, stated in a statement on Twitter, the postponement is necessary to address several issues identified during the public test on September 28.
One issue, for example, was found with the movement, specifically with sliding. Players reportedly felt that the movement felt weird and suspected a nerf for the slide. However, that was not the case, and the team investigated and found a bug.
With the postponement, they aim to ensure that all players have a great time playing XDefiant and to resolve the issues that have arisen.

In EA FC 24 hackers have managed to log into the accounts of well-known Twitch streamers and cause damage. The content creators complain in their statement videos about the loss of their players and several million coins in Ultimate Team.

After Hacker Attack: Streamer “broken” and “in free fall”
What consequences did the hacking attack have for IamTabak? IamTabak explains in his statement on YouTube in detail the impacts and consequences of the hacking attack. All tradable players, namely cards that can be traded for coins on the transfer market, have been completely removed from the club.
As a result, the trading expert already had to accept a loss of around 11 million coins, as he owned strong icons like Franck Ribéry or Patrick Vieira.
But that’s not all.
In addition, all coins were also removed from the account balance. For the streamer, this meant, according to his own statements, a loss of 17 million coins.
All in all, the affected party lost a total of around 28 million coins. This corresponds to more than three times the price of the most expensive player on the transfer market (Icon Ronaldo costs around 8 million coins). Many players haven’t even earned that many coins throughout their entire FIFA career.

The transfer revenues are thus prestigious for traders worldwide. The biggest streamers compete for a place among the top 100 traders.
This list also included IamTabak and is probably why he was specifically targeted by the hackers. In the past, other ranked major streamers like Trymacs, GamerBrother, Smexy, or EliasN97 have also fallen into the sights of criminals and were robbed of their coins and players.

Flail Build as Tank
How to play as a tank? Basically, your goal is to keep the aggro of enemies on you. This works quite well if you equip a taunt stone on the weapon. Then, the ability Protective Flail also provides taunt. The ability Arcane Whirl, on the other hand, roots enemies so they will initially stay close to you.
You also have some passive buffs for yourself and the group, but you must also actively block and dodge. The good thing is that you are rewarded with passive effects for blocking and dodging.
Especially important is the effect Courage. Because of the bonus in Constitution, you receive 10% less damage when you have this buff. However, you can grant this buff to yourself constantly, for example by using one of the three abilities.

This makes it much easier for healers. The perk Refreshing Move is also useful, which reduces the cooldowns of your abilities with your attacks.
Ideally, you use the new artifact Odo, a flail that passively heals you while you block. An ideal weapon for tanking.
What does my rotation look like? You start the fight with Arcane Shatter. Here you make a light jump forward and create an AoE field that weakens enemies. Then you need to use a heavy attack to give the enemy the debuff Damage. This activates passively through your Bastion tree.
Then you use Protective Flail for taunt and Arcane Whirl to buff yourself.
Otherwise, the build is very easy to play because you don’t have to land any special attacks to buff yourself. Many effects simply trigger passively.

What does my rotation look like? Basically, you should position yourself where you are near your ranged allies since you heal them passively. You start with the flail and the ability Arcane Shatter. This field weakens enemies and gives allies life-steal. Ideally, you place it right by the tank.
Through Protective Flail, you establish a special connection with the tank, causing him to take less damage. Arcane Eruption is your healing ability.
If you need to heal a lot, then switch to the life staff. There, it’s important that you use your passive ability Intensification. For this, you have to execute 3 strong attacks, which noticeably increases your healing. To maintain the 3 stacks, you must land a strong attack every 10 seconds. Also, dodging increases your healing passively, so you should use it every now and then.
Then, you place the ability Blessed Ground on your tank or in your group and use the ability Beacon. From then on, Beacon can be used permanently on cooldown.
How to play in PvP? In PvP, there are actually several ways to use the flail. One option is the healer build shown above, which also works great in Outpost Rush or in invasions. However, here Arcane Whirl is often used instead of direct healing with Arcane Eruption.

What does my rotation look like? You either use the Charge or the Jump from the sword to get close to the enemies. Then use Arcane Shatter, a heavy attack, and Arcane Whirl.

What do I like about the Arctis 7? The comfort. The headset weighs 350 grams, but feels super light and fits just right.
The wearing height is adjustable with a rubber band, so the speakers always sit correctly. The rubber band also ensures that no uncomfortable pressure is created on the head, which had occasionally happened with my once beloved Razer Kraken V2. This way, the hardware does not limit me for long gaming nights or the next meeting marathon.
The ear cushions resting against the head are very easy to remove and reattach. This is an absolute quality-of-life feature for me, as I can easily clean the fabric cushions.
Furthermore, I enjoy the freedom that wireless brings me: I no longer have to worry about internal cable breaks when things get intense while gaming. On the other hand, I can easily get up during game breaks or longer meetings. This way, I stay on the ball and can still refill my coffee or energy drink.
The mute button on the back is simply genius. It allows me to manually turn my headset on and off. This eliminates the frantic search for the mouse pointer and the unmute button on the screen to quickly make myself audible for two sentences in the meeting.
My personal absolute highlight is that the Arctis 7 offers two audio channels: For example, “Arctis 7 Chat” runs Microsoft Teams or my current Discord conversation. The second channel “Arctis 7 Game” plays the sound of my current game or browser tabs.
This way, I can either manually adjust the volume of how loud my conversation partners should be compared to my currently opened medium on the PC or with an additional knob on the headset.

What do I not like so much? The sound of the microphone is unfortunately only okay and not brilliant. For work in the home office, it is absolutely sufficient, and even for private gaming, it is more than enough. However, anyone who requires very good sound quality – whether for podcast recordings, streaming, or YouTube videos – will need an additional external microphone.
Also, in my view, the microphone is a weak point: it is retractable. Since receiving it, I’ve been worried that I might accidentally break it. So far, nothing has happened, but I have also handled it very carefully.
After three years, I can no longer charge the headset while wearing it: the mini-USB port is slightly worn out. This results in the charging cable slipping with the slightest movement, and the charging or not charging status is indicated by a loud sound.

The WoW token is more expensive than ever on some realms. It is hardly possible to farm it through gold – however, ‘Gold Selling’ is being fought.
Those who do not want to pay a subscription in World of Warcraft earn the WoW token through gold. Conversely, players who would like a bit of gold but do not want to farm can buy a WoW token for real money and then offer it for gold in the game. This is a system that has been viewed critically since its inception.
Now the WoW token has reached a new peak – at least in America. A bug was partly responsible, but also the fact that hardly anyone needs gold right now.
Why was the price so high now? The fact that the price on the US realms temporarily rose to over 400,000 gold is likely due to several factors.
The first factor is that the demand for gold in World of Warcraft is currently very low. The current patch has been “played through” and aside from a few players getting boosts, hardly anyone needs gold.
The second important factor is that there was a bug yesterday for a few hours. New WoW tokens could not be infused into the system because listing in the auction house ended with an error message. Since the demand remained the same, but due to the error fewer WoW tokens circulated, the price briefly spiked to over 400,000 gold pieces.

When do prices rise? Typically, gold prices for the WoW token always rise just before and after the release of a new game on Battle.net. How do the medieval and dinosaurs fit together? In 985 A.D., the Vikings discovered strange eggs on their journey to Greenland. From these hatched dinosaurs, which were then taken back to Scandinavia by the Vikings, tamed and prepared for battle.

Then comes the first attack from enemy troops. At first, nothing unusual, until the music changes and you know that the twist is about to happen. Shortly thereafter, the carnivore comes crashing out of the forest with its rider.
The giant has quickly breached the city wall and created an entrance for the enemy troops before ultimately going down himself, which, however, cost a lot of arrows.

What does Embers Adrift offer for the anniversary? Besides the sale, the developers have come up with some small events that they want to experience together with the community:
On October 13, a welcome party will take place from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM directly in the starting area.
On October 14, a naked race will take place from the Wall to the Highland Hills from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
On October 15, starting from 6:00 PM, there will be a dice duel tournament followed by a fireworks display with a lottery and role-playing.
Furthermore, the developers want to be strongly present in the game themselves and will occasionally start hide and seek or special monster invasions. The events will also be accompanied by streamers from the community.
What has happened in Embers Adrift since the release? A lot. The major highlights are 4 completely new areas, 5 dungeons, and 36 new quest lines.
Moreover, several general features were introduced to enhance the gaming experience. These include a first-person camera, an improved teleport system, and a journal that records exactly how many enemies you have defeated of each mob type.
Despite these changes, it remains, at its core, a game for hardcore fans of old-school MMORPGs. If you didn’t like the game at launch, you will still have difficulties now. However, for those who haven’t tried it yet, the coming three weeks should be taken advantage of.
