Thaddeus Ross is dangerous not only as a general; as Red Hulk, he can inflict tremendous damage. Thor experienced this in the comic Hulk No. 5. After Thaddeus defeats the green Hulk, he fights with the Thunder God. Suddenly, he grabs the hammer and jumps into space.
The Red Hulk claims that he can hold the hammer as long as Thor is holding it – thus ignoring the worthiness thing. It gets even more absurd in space. Without gravity, Red Hulk takes Mjölnir and starts hitting Thor.
He throws the Avenger onto the moon and leaves him defeated there. Even though the whole gravity thing in the context of Mjölnir is controversial and does not seem very plausible, Red Hulk managed to defeat Thor with his own weapon.
