On Saturday, July 18, 2026, a popular children’s show – the Tigerenten Club – returns, but not to television, rather to Twitch.
Streamers compete against each other in the Tigerenten Club: Anyone who regularly watched television as a child is likely to remember the Tigerenten Club. It is a children’s show from SWR, where two school classes compete against each other in various games.
For the special edition “Tigerenten Club – The Big Streamer Battle” on the ARD Twitch channel, the previous lineup will be slightly changed on Saturday, July 18, 2026.
Nils Bomhoff – a member of RocketBeans – will host the evening and ensure that the streamers Chefstrobel, Fibii, Luara, Merleperle, Haixdo, Junicats, Knirpz, and KaddiTV play fairly against each other. The lineup of the streamer teams is as follows:
- Team Tigerenten: Chefstrobel, Fibii, Luara, and Merleperle
- Team Frogs: Haixdo, Junicats, Knirpz, and KaddiTV
In the last 30 years of Tigerenten Club, some interesting games have come together. In the most popular variants, the Twitch streamers are supposed to compete against each other in the special episode. Through victories, they can earn advantages for the finale – a rodeo ride on a Tigerente.
The Twitch chat or the viewers also have the opportunity to participate in the game night: They can guess the answers to the quiz questions and also play against each other. Additionally, they can influence the streamers and the games, for example, by changing the game rules.
The streamers have the chance to win a prize sum of 3,000 euros, which the winning team can donate to a selected project as part of the children’s charity campaign Herzenssache
by SWR and SR. However, the runners-up will also not leave empty-handed: They will receive 2,000 euros for a good cause.
What does MeinMMO author Johanna think of the planned event? As a child who watched the Tigerenten Club very frequently, I find the new approach exciting. I still remember that the voice actors of the children’s movie Sinbad
were guests on the show. They demonstrated how character dubbing works, and little Johanna was completely fascinated by that.
Since then, the Tigerenten Club has held a special place in my heart, and I am very much looking forward to the new spin that the show wants to take with the event on Twitch. I will definitely tune in!
