You can drop only one mythical item for your friends in Diablo 4. However, they won’t be happy about it, but you can have a little fun with it.
Which Mythic can I give to my friends? You can toss mythical fish on the ground for your friends. This is the only Mythic that is visible to others on the ground when you drop it. All other mythical items will not be displayed to your teammates since they are account-bound anyway.
Things are different with the fish that you can fish since the Lord of Hatred expansion in Diablo 4. In a Reddit post, a user asks what he should do with all his catches after he has already entered them in his fishing book. The community points out that they can be sold for a nice amount of gold.
Another Reddit user has a completely different, cheeky tip:
The mythical fish is the only Mythic in the game that drops visibly for your party members… You can have a lot of fun dropping one when a friend is opening a chest.
When a mythical item is dropped, a very special sound is heard. This also applies to the mythical fish, so you can cause confusion among your teammates at least for a short moment.
In our brief test, we could not see the fish on the ground with each other, but that may not mean much, as we had similar issues with other items in the game before. Maybe you’ll have better luck and it works for you. However, we were able to trade it!
How do I get a mythical fish? You get the mythical specimens by fishing in lava – for example in Skartara, the new area you visit at the end of the Lord of Hatred campaign. Just cast your rod near the “water,” wait for the little fish pop-up, and then press any skill key to pull the catch out of the water.
