In Diablo 4, the hunt for the best loot drives many players. Now there seems to be a way to get mythical items directly. However, hardly anyone has seen the corresponding feature so far, and starting now probably isn’t worth it.
What kind of shrine is this? Through the talent trees of the war plans, you can find special ritual sites in the Pit. The node “Cursed Rituals” is located on the right path on the right side.
If you enter the Pit with this selected talent, you have a chance to find special Chronos materials (blood, flesh [which is incorrectly called sweat in the talent], and tears), which you can then use at ritual sites to receive gold, materials, or items.
Actually, these rituals are just a small bonus to the grind that is already occurring. However, on Reddit, a player has found a “mythical ritual site” that is apparently so rare that hardly anyone knows about it.
“By the time you have that together, the season will be over”
In the comments, most users note that they have never seen a mythical ritual site or even heard of one. Only one mentions that they have experienced it once. Allegedly, there are guaranteed mythical items to obtain, which are the strongest in the game, as well as a magnificent spark.
The catch is that you need 666 units of each material to activate this ritual site. When asked if it’s worth changing the talent trees just for this chest, there’s a clear warning from the community: “By the time you gather the 3×666, the season will be over. It’s not worth it for a Mythic and a spark.”
Season 13 runs until June 30, 2026, so at the time of this article’s release, there are still 12 days left. Season 14 will then be released on the same day. If you have some time left and have completed everything, it might be worth trying the grind out of curiosity – otherwise, probably not.

Mythical items will receive a fundamental overhaul in Season 14. Instead of a collection of special and legendary items, mythical
will merely become a new rarity tier. This does not sit well with many players: Diablo 4 changes the Mythics with Season 14, allowing you to carry more Oboluses.
