The secret cow level in Diablo 4 has been found, but the way there is a massive grind. Players have now discovered that there is an easy shortcut.
How to get into the cow level? Normally, access to the cow level requires tremendous effort. Those who want to save themselves this grind only need another player who has already completed the tasks.
Once you have completed all the steps, you will receive a special moo emote. If you use this to “moo” at other players, they will also unlock access to the level and can grab the crown of the cow king. The mythical helm has strange affixes and provides you with a new skin, but doesn’t give you a Magnificent Spark when dismantling.
Enter the cow level with a shortcut and without grind
This is what players say about the trick: On Reddit, a player points out the trick that you can let yourself be mooed at to get into the cow level. Many seem to be unaware of this. AugustusNZ writes: “So that annoying guy in Temis last week actually tried to help me?”

- If a teammate moos at you, a chat message appears: “A wanderer has mooed at you and you feel the weight of a new sin.”
- Then go to the wooden board in Kyovashad that you had to carve something into during the campaign.
- A new option appears: “Carve ‘Moo’ into the wood.”
- You will be teleported to the waypoint “Torenbruch”.
- Just above the dungeon “Kataklysmus”, a portal to the secret cow level opens.
The author of the post adds that the level remains permanently open and can be farmed. Those who use the “Leave Dungeon” function even end up on the island with the cow cellar, which normally cannot be entered.
In the comments, players clarify that you only receive the moo emote if you complete all the quest steps for the cow level yourself. Those who get into the level using the trick do not receive the emote but can apparently still teleport other group members into the secret area.
