In the meantime, over 55,000 players are currently active on Steam according to SteamDB in Enshrouded. There don’t seem to be any major issues, so we’re saying goodbye to you and ending our ticker for the 1.0 release of Enshrouded.

The number of players on Steam has increased to over 43,000 according to SteamDB (and is still rising). This makes Enshrouded achieve the highest value in the last eleven months. Only during the update in November 2025 were the numbers higher with 50,460 simultaneously active players.
At the original Early Access release in January 2024, more than 160,000 players were simultaneously in the game.

We were able to start our game without any issues, load old saves, create new ones, build our own worlds, use the server search, and view player builds.

A little reminder: After you claim your rewards, be sure to check your skill tree – the points were reset with the release of version 1.0. Otherwise, you’ll walk out of your base and experience a “nasty surprise,” as the developers put it in their blog post.

Anyone who purchased and played Enshrouded during Early Access can collect rewards in the menu under “Redeem Add-Ons.” We were greeted with a notification right at the game’s start and were able to grab the loot there. By the way, you can claim the chest that contains the items as often as you want:

Enshrouded is having its 1.0 release, bringing numerous new features
The time has come, and Enshrouded is having its full release! On Steam, we already have an update to version 1.0 with around 19 GB.
The update brings many “Quality of Life” changes and new content to the German survival game, including:
- A large, floating biome expands the map, while towns and villages have been completely rebuilt for better integration. Additionally, the max level rises to 50 (equipment up to level 55).
- The combat system, including two-handed weapons and magic (9 new spells), has been overhauled. Accordingly, you can expect new enemy variants for all factions.
- Improved performance on weaker systems, smoother animations, optionally more realistic character models, and a reset, fine-tuned talent tree.
- The new logic system “Sparkworks” allows the construction of puzzles, traps, or automatic irrigation systems.
- All NPCs and lore texts are voiced by well-known German voice actors.

Over 1,000 fans are now waiting for the new YouTube video, more than 21,000 are watching various Enshrouded streams on Twitch, and currently more than 9,400 players are simultaneously in the game (Source: SteamDB). It will show in the coming hours how much the numbers rise here.

Important for everyone who wants to play with their friends at the 1.0 release: Unfortunately, you still need the game on the same platform.
Crossplay between PC and PlayStation is not yet possible, but it is definitely planned for the future. However, there is still no release date for the feature.

A little note for those switching from Early Access to version 1.0 today:
Your skill trees from Early Access will be reset, and you will need to redistribute the points.
If, like me, you can’t remember your current build, it’s best to take a screenshot before 17:00 CEST. That way you can quickly get back into it without having to think too much about it.

Enshrouded 1.0: Everything about start time, crossplay, and rewards
What time can you play Enshrouded? In Germany, the full release starts today at 17:00 CEST. You can find other start times on the corresponding map:
Is there crossplay, can you play with friends on the other platform? Unfortunately not, at least not at launch. The developers have firmly planned crossplay, but there is still no fixed date when the feature will be available.
Can game saves from Early Access also be used with 1.0? Definitely. You can still use your saved worlds and characters.
Are there rewards for playing Enshrouded in Early Access? Yes, you will receive 3 exclusive decorative items that you can also place in other worlds:
- A 4-meter tall statue with the Enshrouded logo
- A stylish book with the Enshrouded “E,” which also served as the logo for Early Access for two years
- A beacon in the shape of the Enshrouded logo
How do you get the rewards? If you purchased and played Enshrouded in Early Access, you can collect the rewards in the menu under “Add-Ons.”
