Especially at the beginning, you naturally want to quickly explore the vast world and fight and build as much as you can. Like in most survival games, Enshrouded doesn’t want to make life too easy for you.

Craft gliders and grappling hooks as early as possible
Gliders and grappling hooks are your best friends when you move through the world of Enshrouded. You can craft the first variants as soon as you have built the workbench.
Especially if you want to build higher, solve puzzles, or set out from mountains or vantage points, you need both. The glider will save you valuable time and is also a lot of fun. Just make sure your stamina is sufficient, otherwise, you’ll crash down hard, which could cost you your life.
Collect and destroy everything you can find
And I mean that literally. Especially at the beginning, you need tons of branches, plant fibers, and stones, and later also scrap metal and wood. For that, you should pick up and destroy everything that comes your way. Once your backpack is full, build a chest and store the resources there.
Use your pickaxe and your axe, which you can craft in manual crafting, for this purpose. If they break, you can also use your weapons or fists. You can easily repair them by using your workbench. Everything that is damaged will be automatically repaired.
Once you are a bit more advanced, you can build magical chests from which you can automatically craft without having to actively take out the resources.
Use paths and roads
If your glider can no longer take you further, you have to travel by foot. Use roads and paths whenever possible, especially for longer distances. There, you consume less stamina and can sprint longer.
Additionally, you will encounter enemies and wild animals less often during the day, allowing you to travel with less disturbance. However, at night, bandits, brawlers, or even the dangerous brood like to gather there. You should then think twice about whether and how you want to be on your way.
