Tactical retreats can be worthwhile and are no shame
If an enemy or a group of enemies is too strong for you, it is no shame to retreat and escape the battle for a while. Where in Early Access there was the problem that enemies completely regenerated their health in such cases, since the release of version 1.0, they now regenerate their health slowly.
So after you escape, you have some time to heal, regenerate your stamina, and regroup before attempting again. This gives you another tactical option when challenges are particularly tough.
Check your quest log regularly in multiplayer
When you are playing in multiplayer but not always in the same setup, you should regularly check your journal. It may happen that quests were completed in your absence that you now need to catch up on.
You will find them under “Missed Quests” and can catch up on them. This way, you won’t lose track of what has happened in your world while you were away, and you can still claim missed rewards.
You do not have to craft items for quests and collections yourself
Also a tip for multiplayer: You do not have to complete everything or collect everything in the world for your quests. If a teammate has already built and placed the required building, you can simply transfer it to your inventory and place it again. This way, your quest will be completed as well.
You do not need 100 workbenches – one is enough. The same applies to collections and collectible items. If you or a teammate finds such an item, you can pass it on to any player so that it is activated in the collection. You do not have to find these items multiple times. One is enough.
Adjust your world settings if you get stuck – Achievements are still available
If there are points in the game that annoy you, you can adjust them in the settings before entering the world. Whether it’s the damage enemies inflict, the amount of resources you receive, or your stamina – you can adjust all parameters so that they fit your playstyle.
You also don’t have to worry about not being able to receive achievements – you will still get them. So be bold here and experiment to create the gaming experience you need.
