4 reasons why Aion 2 might not be fun for you
Aion 2 comes from the South Korean developer and publisher NCSoft, and despite various adjustments for the Western market, sadly also brings some typical traits of Asian MMORPGs to the West.
- The payment model is tricky due to the connection between real money currency and in-game purchases, as well as the subscription required for currency exchange and marketplace trading; there are clear pay-to-win or pay-to-progress elements
- The grind factor in Aion 2 is high: Anyone who wants to make their character strong enough to master all PvE challenges must invest a lot of time into the various progression systems and especially repeatedly visit the many dungeons
- If you want to dive into an immersive fantasy world, Aion 2 is not for you; many characters wear revealing or silly skins and everywhere you see supermodels with long legs, big breasts, and big eyes
- Those who expect a deep, multi-layered combat system may find themselves disappointed; experienced MMORPG veterans sometimes complain about the relatively low difficulty level
