Order 66 is one of the most dramatic events in Star Wars. The majority of the Jedi were wiped out, but about 100 members managed to survive. The following 7 are among the lucky ones.
At the end of Episode 3, Palpatine resorts to extreme measures: He issues Order 66, which leads to the near-total annihilation of the Jedi Order. The forces, primarily the clone army, turn against their allies, as they supposedly committed treachery against the Republic.
In this list, however, you will find seven Jedi who survived the massacre for various reasons. They are part of an absolute minority, as only about 100 of the estimated 10,000 members of the Order survived – that’s 1%.
Obi-Wan Kenobi – Anakin’s Master escaped Order 66
That Obi-Wan Kenobi survived Order 66 was really no surprise, at least not if you had watched Episode 4 beforehand. There he lives in exile on Tatooine. However, it was preceded by a spectacular escape.
It began on the planet Utapau, where Obi-Wan was supposed to take down General Grievous. Although the Jedi achieved victory over the villain, shortly thereafter Palpatine gave the order to execute Order 66. Obi-Wan was shot off his mount and fell deep into a lake. He managed to remain hidden from the search droids, and he fled the planet on a starship. Subsequently, he met with Yoda and Bail Organa on his ship.
