Grandea was a Jedi Master who belonged to the Theelin people and served in the Clone Wars. When Order 66 was commanded by Palpatine, her great interest in mind tricks paid off.

While other Jedi preferred the lightsaber, Grandea studied the possibilities of manipulation and ultimately used them very effectively during Order 66. When Clone Troopers approached her to execute the order, Grandea convinced them with the power of her thoughts that she was not a Jedi.

The trick worked wonderfully, and the Jedi Master escaped. Through the Force, she realized that the old life was over, so she put aside her calling and even destroyed her lightsaber. Later, the mind trick helped her survive again, when Inquisitors sent by Darth Vader tracked her down.
