Also in World of Warcraft they are celebrating the World Championship – at least a little bit. You can grab a trophy for your house.
While the world is currently buzzing around the football World Championship, there is a new update, namely Patch 12.0.7 in World of Warcraft. This includes a small but fine nod to the World Cup in the form of a new housing item. If you want to place a nice trophy in your home, you just have to solve a small puzzle – this can be done in a few minutes.
Additionally, there are also images featuring the emblems of the Horde and the Alliance and stylish new tabards. So those are well-invested 5 minutes.
A Trophy for Housing in WoW
How do you get the trophy? To get the trophy, you first need to travel to Silvermoon and visit the Academy. At the coordinates 39 / 59 (right by the tiled grass field), you will find the character Richmond, who has some items for you.
Buy a tabard of your faction (Horde or Alliance) and three footballs there. Equip the tabard or learn it and transmogrify it onto your gear.
Then enter the playing field (the tiled grass field) and place the ball in the middle. Now simply shoot the ball into one of the two goals. Repeat this three times and you will receive the achievement that is rewarded with a trophy!
Can you buy more versions of it? Yes. Both the trophy and the images can be obtained multiple times. The first item is free, and you can buy additional ones for 5,000 gold coins each from Richmond. So if you want to decorate the whole house with images of your faction or trophies, you’ll need to dig deep into your gold purse.
What do you think about this small nod to the World Cup in World of Warcraft? A cool idea that fits well into the world of Azeroth? Or should such overlaps be left out of the game world and focus on other things? Let us know in the comments!
