The Twitch streamer Isaiah hmblzayy
Thomas walked from Philadelphia to California while live. That’s about 4,800 km. He completed this feat, even after being hit by a car in between.
Who goes where? The streamer hmblzayy is still relatively new to Twitch, as he created his channel according to SullyGnome in November 2025. However, he has managed to gather over 69,000 followers, likely due to his current campaign.
For the last 124 days, the streamer had something very special planned: he walked from the city of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania to California. That’s about 3,000 miles or 4,800 km.
With this, he raised donations for the construction of a vocational school to benefit those youth who cannot afford college. On July 27, 2026, hmblzayy successfully completed his run and managed to collect over $200,000.
What difficulties did hmblzayy face? His run was by no means easy. One incident in particular made many doubt whether the fundraising run would continue. In Indiana, hmblzayy was hit by a car.
In a clip of the incident, it appears that a car wants to overtake him and waits for the right moment. However, another car came from behind and collided with the front one, hitting hmblzayy as well.

In an interview with the BBC, hmblzayy spoke about the incident: It happened so fast, but it felt like it was in slow motion; it was like I was just gliding through the air – it was crazy.
Hmblzayy went to the hospital afterward, but didn’t seem to have any serious injuries at first glance. He then took a break from running and streaming to recover and subsequently completed the remaining 2,000 miles.
Moreover, there were always points where he had to walk on difficult ground. Steep mountains also posed challenges for him repeatedly. At one point, he was helped by a viewer, as captured here in a clip on Reddit:
