Every few weeks, ZywOo from Vitality dominates the strongest teams in Counter-Strike, but he much prefers to play completely different games in the evenings.
Who is it about? Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut (25) from Team Vitality is currently considered the best player in Counter-Strike 2. The Frenchman has not only won numerous titles in his career, earning prize money of over 2,000,000 euros, but has also been named the best player of the year by the Counter-Strike website HLTV four times – including in 2025 as well as 2019, 2020, and 2023. He has also made it into the top 3 three more times.
Even in 2026, he is on track to win the title of best player of the year again, statistically ahead of other top players like m0NESY, donk, and his teammate flameZ.
What did he say about his gaming habits? In an interview (via X) during the Blast Rivals Spring 2026, ZywOo was asked what games he is currently playing. The Frenchman then shared that he plays Hearthstone, a 12-year-old online collectible card game from Blizzard.
Moreover, he is currently gaming in the evenings with a friend for 2-3 hours on “some pirate game”, which is presumably the survival game Windrose released in April, where you sail the seas as pirates and attempt to survive against the dangers of the oceans and various islands in PvE battles.
Does he not play any shooters? He is currently not playing shooters much. He is rather watching series to unwind. He hardly plays Counter-Strike outside of the team. He gets 50 kills every evening in deathmatches, but then gets bored, and otherwise, he mostly plays surf maps and similar in CS2.
CS2 professionals like ZywOo still spend a lot of time in the tactical shooter. The Frenchman himself is said to have over 20,000 hours in Counter-Strike. Moreover, it is known that Ukrainian professional Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyljev can show similar numbers: The Price of Success in Counter-Strike: He invests more than 23,000 hours and becomes one of the best players in the world
