Aion 2 Endgame: What can PvE and PvP fans expect at level 45?

Aion 2 Endgame

Aion 2 is a vast theme park MMORPG that is divided into the leveling phase and the endgame. MeinMMO explains what to expect at the maximum level 45 for the global release.

How do I quickly reach the endgame in Aion 2? The leveling phase of Aion 2 takes you to the maximum level 45 and can easily be advanced through progress in the main quest line as well as some side quests and dungeon visits. Depending on experience, you should be able to complete the experience points hunt in ten to 15 play hours.

How is the endgame of Aion 2 structured? You can expect a weekly structured content offering, where the goal is to increase your combat power (Combat Power, CP) to gain access to tougher challenges.

The areas of PvE and PvP are strictly separated regarding equipment and content offerings. Additionally, the PvP content is purely optional. Those who do not want to play PvP do not have to. Details on the modes and challenges that await you are provided below.

Through the content summary, you can jump directly to the PvE and PvP content from the endgame of Aion 2:

What affects the CP? In Aion 2, not only does your equipment affect your combat power; you can also increase your character’s CP through other areas, such as …

  • Progress in the Daevanion talent system
  • Unlocks in the Pantheon (a sort of housing area intertwined with your character’s progress)
  • Your collection of Arcana cards
  • The levels of your skills and stigma socket stones
  • Special bonuses and effects from titles or your wings

Importantly, equipment varies in strength for PvE and PvP, and in instanced PvP content like arenas and battlegrounds, the equipment of all participants is raised to a comparable level.

The endgame of Aion 2 for PvE fans

The majority of Aion 2’s content is aimed at fans of PvE challenges. You can expect content for solists, small groups (5 players), and raids (10 players). Let’s take a closer look at the content.

PvE content for solists

  • Ascension Trials: Solo challenges where you have to prove yourself against waves of enemies and bosses – the faster you are, the better the rating
  • Sealed Dungeons: Instanced mini-dungeons that you can find in the open world, with environmental puzzles and one boss each
  • Strongholds: Fortified areas in the open world or in instanced areas that you must clear of enemies and where you must fulfill specific goals. They can also optionally be completed in a group
  • Nightmare Dungeons: Instanced solo challenge where you must defeat one boss after another solo

PvE content for small groups (5 players)

  • Expeditions: The standard dungeons for groups of 5 players
  • Transcendence Dungeons: Time-critical endgame dungeons for 5 players with better rewards, where you must defeat a fixed number of monsters and bosses as quickly as possible
Aion 2: PvE Endgame
Tough bosses are crucial in the endgame of Aion 2.

PvE content for raids (10 players)

  • Sanctuary: Raid for 10 players with tough boss fights and special rewards like the transcendence equipment
  • Ludra: Raid for 10 players with one boss and 3 difficulty levels (might come with a later update)

PvE content in the open world

  • Strongholds: Fortified areas in the open world or in instanced areas that you must clear of enemies and where you must fulfill specific goals. They can also optionally be completed in a group
  • Invasion events and world bosses: Large events in the open world where all present work together to fight enemies and bosses to secure bonuses for the server and rewards
  • Exploration of the world and completion of the collection for your progress in the Pantheon
  • Quests

The endgame of Aion 2 for PvP fans

PvP fans can look forward to the following content in Aion 2’s endgame:

  • Large battles on various maps in the Abyss, where the two factions fight for control zones, artifacts, resources, and world bosses in the air and on the ground – each player only has limited access to the Abyss (7 hours per week, which can be increased through items and subscription)
  • Arena of Solitude, for 1v1 duels
  • Arena of Cooperation, for battles of two teams with 4 participants each
  • Battlegrounds for two teams of 10 players each
  • A battle royale mode for 100 players (most likely coming with a later update)
  • Spacetime rifts, allowing one faction to attack the opposing side’s territory at scheduled times in the open world – those wishing to participate must deliberately mark themselves for PvP
  • The Shugofesta, a collection of mini-games where you can compete with other players in various challenges such as races or skill tests

Those who repeatedly engage in the instanced arena battles can climb a leaderboard and earn exclusive seasonal rewards.

Additionally, you earn Abyss points and PvP medals through PvP content, which you can use to acquire PvP equipment that provides special bonuses for damage output and damage reduction in PvP situations. Since the equipment in instanced modes is raised to a comparable level, the special PvP equipment is especially helpful in the Abyss and at the spacetime rifts.
