Team GO Rocket has new monsters in Pokémon GO. And you shouldn’t miss them if you want to snag some strong attackers.
Once again, Team GO Rocket has hijacked an event in Pokémon GO. During this takeover, which runs from Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 00:00 to Monday, June 29, 2026, at 20:00, they have also brought new monsters along.
While many Rocket events feature Pokémon from the leaders of the evil team that are rather subpar, this time they are really strong. Besides the new legendary Crypto from Giovanni, you should also seek out and defeat the other members from the elite ranks of the team.
2 of the best attackers overall
Which monsters do the leaders have? With the start of the event, all 3 leaders have received new monsters. While 2 of them belong to the absolute elite, the 3rd Pokémon is still a very useful attacker if you don’t have better alternatives.
Arlo is currently using the Crypto variant of Balgoras. This monster evolves into Monargoras and has the types Rock and Dragon. Monargoras is one of the best Rock-type attackers in Pokémon GO and is only surpassed by a few other specimens here.
If you encounter Cliff, you also have reason to be happy. Currently, you can get Milza from him, which can evolve into Sharfax and then into Maxax. Maxax is one of the best Dragon-type attackers and after Crypto-Knakrack, it is even the best Crypto attacker of its type.
However, it may also be worth defeating Sierra. You will currently receive Amarino from her. The Rock-Ice monster can evolve into Amagarga. As such, it is a very strong Ice attacker, although it is not quite as strong as the other two monsters.
