Team GO Rocket returns to Pokémon GO with a really strong legendary monster.
What kind of event is this? Team GO Rocket is taking over the Flying Taxi event currently running in Pokémon GO. As usual, the villains have new monsters with them. This includes the team boss, Giovanni, who has a new legendary Crypto monster in tow.
If you want to obtain the new Cryptos, you should hurry. The event starts on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 12:00 PM and ends on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 8:00 PM.
Flying Taxi: Takeover – All event content
Which monster does Giovanni have? In the event, the boss of Team GO Rocket has Reshiram as Crypto for the first time. To get the monster, you must reach rank 30 in the GO Pass of the regular Flying Taxi event, which has been running since Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
You shouldn’t miss Crypto-Reshiram. The legendary monster is so strong that it will directly enter the list of the best attackers in Pokémon GO and will be among the top 3 Fire attackers. With a bit of luck, you might even get it as Shiny.
There you will get a Super Rocket Radar, which allows you to search for and challenge Giovanni. While you used to find Giovanni in balloons, you can only find the boss at PokéStops in this event.
You have until Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 7:59 PM to collect the rewards from the GO Pass.
What other new Cryptos are there? In addition to Reshiram, there are other monsters that the minions of Team GO Rocket have for the first time. These include:
