League of Legends is already a difficult game, but a Twitch streamer has now set himself an absurd challenge, replacing even a teammate.
What is the challenge? According to his own description on Twitch, the streamer forgottenwav is a Draven OTP (he only plays him), who has already reached Master with 300 LP, a remarkable achievement. However, that challenge apparently wasn’t enough for him, as he has started a new challenge.
He plays 2 champions simultaneously, mainly Draven and Thresh in the bot lane. As shown in videos, such as on YouTube, he uses a PC, a laptop and two mice, each with many buttons, where he has assigned the abilities and summoner spells. This seems to work quite well.
Strong performance despite low Elo
How is it going for the streamer? To begin with, it should be mentioned that he plays low-Elo. According to op.gg, he is currently Bronze 3. However, looking at his gameplay, it is still impressive how well he can handle both champions, as controlling with 2 hands and 2 mice is pretty tough.
In the bot lane, he has the advantage that both champions are on one lane, which gives him at least a solid overview. Nevertheless, he needs good coordination to control both champions with the mice, as he does not intuitively use a D-pad or a stick.
The champions he plays are also noteworthy. With Draven, he only has to aim with the E and ultimate ability, but he has to catch the axes purposefully to get the most out of the champion. Thresh is also not an easy champion; after all, he has to hit his Q ability to pull in enemies and initiate fights.
However, whether this works at a higher Elo is questionable.
Is this even allowed? There is technically nothing in Riot’s terms of service against having 2 active accounts simultaneously, as long as the player does not use external software to play better with 2 champions at the same time. From watching the streams, he simply uses 2 PCs and 2 mice.
It gets tricky when it comes to game impairment. While he is currently performing well, the further he goes, the higher the likelihood is that he won’t be able to keep up with this method. Riot could probably intervene here. One might also argue whether he is a smurf, as he plays with a new account at low Elo as an extremely good player.
