Mega-Legios celebrates its debut in Pokémon GO. MeinMMO shows you what happens at the event.
What kind of event is this? On Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the Super Mega Raid Day with Legios will take place. You can obtain the monster for the first time in its Mega form. With a bit of luck, it could even be Shiny – the chance for this is also increased.

Where can I find Legios? Mega-Legios appears in the event in Super Mega Raids. These raids do not take place at all gyms, but only at selected ones. So you need to keep an eye out. You can also check the map of pokemongo.com to find suitable gyms.
What bonuses are active during the event? During the raid day, the following bonuses will be active in the game:
- up to 6 free raid passes through the gym photo disks
- increased shiny chance for Legios from Super Mega Raids
- increased remote raid limit of 20 (from 2:00 AM on May 23, 2026, to 5:00 AM on May 24, 2026)
What’s included in the event ticket? For $4.99 (about €5), you can purchase an optional ticket for the event. The following content and bonuses are included:
- up to 14 raid passes through the gym photo disks
- increased chance of rare candy XL through raids
- 5,000 additional experience points through Super Mega Raids
- 5,000 additional stardust through Super Mega Raids
Tips for the event
How do I defeat Legios? The monster is of the Fighting type. This means it is weak to Fairy, Flying, and Psychic type attacks. So focus on these attackers to defeat the boss quickly. The following Pokémon are particularly suitable:
- Mega Rayquaza with Air Slash and Sky Attack
- Shadow Mewtwo with Confusion and Psystrike
- Mega Alakazam with Confusion and Psychic
- Shadow Moltres with Wing Attack and Fly
- Mega Gardevoir with Confusion and Psychic
Legios is a Super Mega Raid. Therefore, you need to strategically deploy your Mega Evolutions in battle to break the boss’s shields. You can find everything about Super Mega Raids on MeinMMO.
How should I proceed during the event? Since you only receive one raid pass per gym after you have used the current one, it is best to proceed as follows:
- Choose a gym with your group
- Defeat the Mega Legios
- Spin the gym’s photo disk to receive a new raid pass
- Choose the next gym
