Pokémon GO kicks off the last part of summer full of adventures, brings a rare Ponyta

In Pokémon GO you can catch a special Ponita. If you want it, you need to hurry.

Part 3 and thus the last part of the summer full of adventures is ready to kick off in Pokémon GO. After you have already caught a special Lapras and an Elekid in the past weeks, you can now look forward to a Ponita.

The event named Candela’s Victory Mission starts on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM. It runs until Monday, June 15, 2026, at 8:00 PM.

A Ponita and many Raids

How do I get the Ponita? In the event, you can catch a Ponita that not only has a Candela-style accessory but also a special background. You will receive it in the event’s GO Pass. With a bit of luck, you can also get the shiny version.

What monsters are in the event? In addition to the Ponita, several other monsters await you in the event.

In the wild:

• Hisui-Arcanine*
• Machoke*
• Ponita*
• Scyther*
• Flareon*
• Slugma*

In Raids:

All monsters marked with * can also appear as shiny with some luck.

What else is in the GO Pass? In addition to the Ponita, there are more contents in the GO Pass. As usual, there is a free and a paid Deluxe variant.

In both versions, the following rewards await you:

• Encounters with Flareon*, Sableye*, the special Ponita*, and other monsters
• increased attack bonus in Raids (from level 10)
• 1.5 times the amount of stardust from Raids (from level 20)

In the Deluxe Pass, the following additional rewards await you:

• additional encounters with the Ponita
• six additional premium battle passes
• up to 2 raid passes from gyms (from level 20)

From Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 12:00 AM to Monday, June 15, 2026, at 7:59 PM there is no daily limit for points in the GO Pass. If you haven’t claimed all the rewards you want by then, you can still use this time to gather a lot of points.
