Pokémon GO: “Keep Going” – 6 Highlights of the New Season You Shouldn’t Miss

Information about the next season in Pokémon GO is now known. What to expect there has been summarized by MeinMMO.

When does the new season start? The next season, titled “Keep Going,” starts on June 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM. It will end on September 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM.

Included are some contents that were already known in advance, as well as many new, previously unannounced, contents. We have taken a look at what they are and what is particularly interesting.

1. GO Fest 2026

It has been known for some time that the global GO Fest 2026 will take place on July 11 and 12, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The biggest highlight of the event is likely the release of the two Mega Mewtwo forms, which is already causing frustration for some trainers.

Furthermore, all major contents of the big event will be completely free. This means you will have access to all contents like Mega Mewtwo, Zeraora, and an increased shiny chance without spending real money.

You definitely should not miss the GO Fest in the new season.

2. Community Days

The dates of the Community Days were also known in advance. Which monsters will appear here is still not known – with one exception: Frospino will be the star of the Community Day on June 20, 2026.

This confirms what was already hinted at through leaks. Do not miss the Community Day with Frospino. The little dragon is a very strong attacker.

3. GO-Pass

The new season brings back several GO Passes that you can level up in a free version and a paid version as usual. As rewards for the 3 monthly passes, there will be one Lugia, one Ho-Oh, and one Latias as rewards.

However, the milestones in the 3 months are especially interesting:

• Level 1: one extra candy when trading
• Level 25: receive, store, and open more gifts
• Level 50: duration of the daily adventure incense will be doubled
• Level 75: more experience points and stardust when hatching monsters

4. New Mega and Dyna Monsters

Also in the new season: new Mega evolutions and Dyna monsters. While no Mega evolutions have been named yet, at least the two Mega evolutions of Raichu can be recognized in the announcement from Niantic. When exactly they will come is still unknown.

3 new Dyna monsters have already been announced by name. These include Electek, Garados, and Barschwa in their Dyna forms. Thus, in the new season, you can also develop Elevoltek, Garados, and Milotic as Dyna monsters.

5. Research Breakthroughs

A research breakthrough is the reward you receive when you complete field research for 7 days. The monsters you can obtain through this will rotate in the new season. You can receive the following rewards:

• Dragonite*
• Milza*
• Gramokles*
• Miniras*
• Servol*
• Klibbe

With Dragonite, there is an attacker here, who may no longer belong to the absolute top, but still could strengthen the team for some trainers. With Gramokles, Servol, and Klibbe, there are also monsters that are relatively rare to find in the game.

6. Changes to Daily Discoveries

The daily discoveries, introduced with the current season, will receive some changes.

• Sunday will become “Scenic Sunday”
  • more monsters appear on routes
  • more monsters appear through incense on routes
  • shorter distance to find candies with your buddy Pokémon on routes
  • Mateo appears on up to 3 routes daily
• On Tuesdays, you can now participate in up to 5 PokéStop showcases

Especially Sunday is interesting. The ability to find candies faster with your buddy Pokémon is particularly good for legendary monsters.

In 7-km eggs:

• Galar Corasonn*
• Galar Flampion*
• Hisui Fucano* (via Mateo)
• Hisui Sneebel* (via Mateo)
• Barschuft (White-lined)* (via Mateo)

In 10-km eggs:

• Flunkifer*
• Absol*
• Frospino*
• Pampuli* (Adventure Sync)
• Shardrago* (Adventure Sync)
• Sen-Long* (Adventure Sync)

New Stickers: You can also receive new stickers in the next season. You can purchase these in the shop or receive them at PokéStops and through gifts.
