Finally, there are the specific contents for the Mega Finale in Pokémon GO. And there are really powerful monsters involved.
On Saturday, September 5, 2026, and on Sunday, September 6, 2026, the Mega Finale in Pokémon GO will take place from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day. This marks the culmination of the celebrations for the 10th anniversary of the game.
In advance, from Monday, August 31, 2026, at 10:00 AM, until Friday, September 4, 2026, the so-called Mega Ascension will take place to set the mood. In both events, you can expect some content and, as the name suggests, plenty of Mega Evolutions.
Mega Monsters, Mega Monsters Everywhere
Which monsters are available in the events? Both events will bring you plenty of Mega Evolutions. While the Mega Ascension will have different Mega Evolutions waiting in raids each day, they will be available in different habitats on both days during the Mega Finale. The habitats will be active for one hour each on both days.
Among the highlights of the Mega Evolutions are likely to be the two Mega forms of Mewtwo, if you haven’t managed to get them so far, as well as the debut of the 3 Mega Evolutions from Brigaron, Fennexis, and Quajutsu. However, there are also other strong Mega Evolutions like Dragoran, Garados, Simsala, and both Raichu forms as part of the events. You’ll find some monsters here that are among the best attackers in Pokémon GO.
Furthermore, apart from the two Mega Mewtwo forms, all Mega Evolutions are available in Mega Raids and not in Super Mega Raids, as was previously the case with Dragoran. Therefore, it will be significantly easier to defeat and catch some Mega Evolutions.
What else is in the events? In addition to various monsters in the wild, a limited research task involving Fynx, Igamaro, and Froxy, as well as some bonuses, there will also be a GO Pass again. This also comes with an increased shiny chance for many monsters, which can only be found in the Deluxe version of the pass.
