On the weekend, the big Pokémon GO Fest 2026 kicks off. And it brings strong content that you shouldn’t miss.
The GO Fest is just around the corner and brings a lot of content. On Saturday, July 11, 2026, and Sunday, July 12, 2026, the largest event of the year will take place from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
While in the past, many contents were often hidden behind a paid ticket, this year all content will be active in the game without additional costs. We have summarized which ones are particularly interesting for you.
1. Mega Forms of Mewtwo and More Raids
At GO Fest 2026, there will finally be the Mega Forms X and Y of Mewtwo. You will get one through a branching research given at the start of the event. To obtain the other form, you must defeat it in Super Mega Raids.
If you succeed and catch Mewtwo, it will have at least Mega Level 1 right away. This means you won’t need to farm additional Mega Energy.
Moreover, during the event, nearly all legendary Pokémon and Mega Evolutions will be available in raids that are currently in the game. So if you want to catch one or another strong Pokémon, then the GO Fest is the perfect opportunity for you.
Additionally, you can receive up to 9 free Raid Passes for turning Arena Discs on both days of the event, allowing you to raid extensively.
2. Zeraora
The mysterious Pokémon Zeraora will be distributed for the first time at GO Fest. If you participated in a local edition of this year’s GO Fest and received a Zeraora there, you will only receive candies instead of a second specimen.
To obtain Zeraora, you must complete the special research given at the start of the event. And you should do so because Zeraora is a really strong Electric-type attacker.
3. Shinies
For many collectors, the GO Fest could be an absolute highlight, for which it might be a good idea to sort out the Pokémon boxes again. Because the shiny chance is increased throughout the entire event. This means that you will have an increased chance of finding a shiny version among all the Pokémon you can encounter during the GO Fest.
At the event, there are not only countless raids but also many Pokémon in the wild. This includes, among other things, the costumed variants of Pikachu in the wild, the two regional Pokémon Tropius and Bisofank, and the Icognito, which you can attract with smoke. If you use incense during the event, you can attract even more Pokémon. They also have an increased duration of one hour.
4. Icognito
Speaking of Icognito. While you can only find a few forms of the rare Pokémon in most events, this year’s global GO Fest is different. Here you can find all the forms of the Pokémon that exist.
To attract the Pokémon, you need to use incense during the event times. However, the duration for the item is not increased during the event.
If you have always wanted to collect the complete Icognito alphabet, then the event is the best opportunity for you to achieve this goal.
5. Trading
Not only is collecting more worthwhile at GO Fest than usual, but so is trading with other players. This can be particularly worthwhile for obtaining additional candies during trades or conducting a lucky trade with especially rare or strong Pokémon.
In addition, there are 2 bonuses that will be active not only during the event but on both days from 12:01 AM to 11:59 PM. If you trade during this time, you will have only half the stardust cost for each trade.
Furthermore, the number of special trades is also increased. You can conduct up to 6 special trades on both days.
