In the Sky Needle dungeon of World of Warcraft, you will encounter the Supreme Sage Viryx. Players have now found a way to counter the deadliest mechanic of the villain.
What kind of mechanic is this? The Supreme Sage Viryx occasionally summons a sun-bird that grabs a random player and lifts them into the air. Its goal: to take the wriggling hero off the safe balcony and let them plummet into the depths.
This can usually only be prevented if all damage dealers immediately switch to the sun-bird and take it down before the fluttering creature reaches its target. If the damage is insufficient or players ignore this mechanic, there will be losses – making the remaining fight significantly tougher.
Playing hide and seek saves lives
How can this mechanic be circumvented? Resourceful players have now discovered a remarkable counter to the attack of the sun-bird: those grabbed by the bird can activate the toy “Summoned Bank” to immediately escape its grip and safely return to the combat area.
If all 5 players in the dungeon group have the “Summoned Bank”, the mechanic can be almost completely ignored. Affected players must keep in mind that activating the “Summoned Bank” triggers a cooldown of 5 minutes. Therefore, no player can protect themselves from the sun-bird more than once during the fight against Viryx.
Where can I get the “Summoned Bank”? You can buy this from the game master Fleurian in Silvermoon for 200 Illusory Coins. You receive the coins through the new hide-and-seek mini-game that landed on the servers with the notorious Patch 12.0.5.
