The hunt for loot drives many players in Diablo 4, especially when the big jackpot is only a dungeon away. This happened to a user, and the community is now explaining to curious casuals how they can get the loot themselves.
Blizzard has significantly revamped the endgame with the release of Lord of Hatred, especially through the war plans that can change all activities. At its core, this means that you now have the chance for really strong loot everywhere.
On Reddit, a user impressively demonstrates what this can look like in the end. After a single run through the undercity of Kurast, four of the most sought-after mythic items from Diablo 4 lay before him:
- a Veil of False Death
- a Ring of the Starless Skies
- and two Grandfathers
Users are asking in the comments how something like this can happen – they wouldn’t have such enormous luck themselves. Veterans explain that it has little to do with luck because some drops can be guaranteed.
The endgame in Diablo 4 is now its own science – but an easy one
Various methods can force mythic drops or mythic loot. In this case, a completion of the undercity with a mythic tribute at least on torment level 10 grants a guaranteed mythic, according to the users.
In addition, there are appropriate skills from the war plans, in this case additional chests from the “left” branch of the talent tree. This grants extra loot when killing goblins in the undercity, which can also appear more frequently.
Mythic tributes themselves can be created using the Horadric Cube by combining seemingly worthless items:
- 5 magical tributes become 1 rare
- 5 rare become 1 legendary
- and finally 5 legendary become 1 mythic.
Before torment level 10, it is advisable not to use these tributes as the maximum chance for certain items only exists here – and ideally in a group to complete multiple runs in a row.
Especially players who do not engage intensively with the endgame of Lord of Hatred are not aware of such things right away. However, Diablo 4 is currently doing an excellent job of acclimatizing players to the new endgame: The new endgame of Diablo 4 sounded really lame, but the more I play it, the better it gets
